Chapter 451: Chapter 331: Blast Flame Vanguard, Legendary Advanced Profession_2

Fang Zhou faced the crisscrossing net of swords. Relying on his Agility Attribute, which was far superior to that of any other participating cadet, his body twisted in subtle, irregular motions, as if performing a bizarre dance.

In the eyes of the spectators, the net of swords seemed to pass right through his body. Yet, to everyone’s disappointment, Fang Zhou remained completely unscathed.

He was like an agile butterfly, flitting between the flaming giant swords, each movement perfectly timed to evade the attacks.

"Damn it, are you even human?" Sang Ling gasped.

I thought my Fire Blade Chaos Dance would be enough to block every escape route, but he dodged every single time, as if he knew exactly where I’d strike. If he had used a Displacement Skill to get away, I could have accepted it. But passing straight through the net of swords like that... It’s impossible! No one could even imagine it!

Yet, it had all happened right before her very eyes.

"Hurry up. You’ve been dazed for five seconds. If you’re going to surrender, make it snappy," Fang Zhou said with a casual tone, beckoning with his finger again.

"Arrogant!" Sang Ling charged once more.

This time, however, Fang Zhou didn’t use a skeleton to block. He got serious.

BOOM!

A Skeleton Flying Spear shot out!

Counter!

Fang Zhou’s counter was successful. Sang Ling’s Charge was interrupted, and she let out a pained cry before falling to one knee.

Fang Zhou stood his ground, making no other move.

Humiliated, Sang Ling’s anger now burned to its peak.

"Blast Flame Tornado!"

Scrambling to her feet, Sang Ling swung her Flaming Greatsword. Her body began to spin, forming a Blast Flame Tornado that rapidly closed in on Fang Zhou.

This was a lower variant of Vortex Slash, a universal Skill for Black Iron-level Combat Professionals.

Fang Zhou’s Skeleton Clone was also proficient with it, so he was familiar with the skill’s general effects.

He backflipped out of the Blast Flame Tornado’s range and fired a Skeleton Shackle, but the spinning vortex blocked it.

Flapping his skeletal wings to dodge the rapidly approaching tornado, Fang Zhou taunted, "You look beautiful when you spin, but you’re just too, too slow."

AAAAARGH!

Sang Ling was about to go mad with fury, but there was nothing she could do.

The spectating cadets could only gawk at the scene.

On the arena stage, the battle between Fang Zhou and Sang Ling had become exceptionally comical. Every attack from Sang Ling was effortlessly neutralized by Fang Zhou, while his counterattacks left her in misery.

"Are you getting dizzy? Need me to give you a hand?"

Fang Zhou’s words were like a splash of ice water on Sang Ling’s heart, only serving to stoke the flames of her rage.

"I... I’ll fight you to the death!"

Sang Ling gritted her teeth and unleashed every last trump card she had.

But even so, Fang Zhou acted as though he were playing a simple game, effortlessly dodging every single assault.

Sang Ling’s efforts were all for naught. After being teased by Fang Zhou for so long, she was absolutely livid.

Just then, Bai Xiaochan’s voice came from the other side of the barrier, breaking the stalemate on the stage.

"Having fun, Fang Zhou?"

"Ahem." Fang Zhou gave an awkward chuckle, realizing just how many people were watching. Toying with a single opponent so relentlessly in public was a bit unseemly.

He coughed twice, adjusted his posture, and spoke to the panting Sang Ling, "Don’t take it to heart, I was just kidding around. You’re no match for me. Please surrender. you still have a chance to challenge the other duel positions."

Sang Ling was panting heavily, her eyes locked on Fang Zhou. "Just you wait. I’ll be back for you."

With that, she immediately conceded and was teleported away.

In the crowd, many gazes turned to a young man named Cheng Hao.

He was the number one cadet from Mountain City Military Academy, ranked fifth on the individual points leaderboard for the Grand Tournament for New Recruits.

"Cheng Hao, are you confident?" someone asked.

Cheng Hao glanced at Fang Zhou and shook his head slightly. "I won’t bring that disgrace upon myself. The third duel position suits me better."

He then turned and left the preparation area, leaving a trail of soft sighs behind him.

"Even Cheng Hao says he’s no match for him. Is this guy really that strong?" someone whispered.

Someone else suggested, "You could give it a try," but the words were met with silence.

Fifteen seconds later, a Warlock cadet in long robes with a confident expression was teleported to the platform opposite Fang Zhou.

He snorted coldly. "I’d like to see if you’re as formidable as they claim."

"My strength has nothing to do with their praise," Fang Zhou replied lightly. "Besides, you won’t live long enough to witness it."

"I’m ranked ninth in points. Is that not enough?" the Warlock retorted angrily.

Fang Zhou said nothing, simply raising two fingers.

As the match began, he raised his hand and released a seemingly ordinary Death Ripple.

A flash of disdain crossed the Warlock’s eyes. His form suddenly became illusory as he used a Displacement Skill to evade the strike.

"I thought you’d be more impressive, but..."

PFFT!

However, just as he regained his footing, a Skeleton Flying Spear that had been following close behind pierced through his defenses and accurately penetrated his throat.

Instant kill!

"Next," Fang Zhou said, pointing to the stands.

Soon, another challenger took the stage, this time a Knight clad in Heavy Armor.

However, the result was no surprise.

It was the same two-skill combination. First, he used Death Ripple to force his opponent to move, followed by a fatal spear that struck a vital point, killing them in a single blow.

The second match, the third, the fourth, the fifth, the sixth...

With the conclusion of each battle, the venue gradually quieted down. No one dared to step forward and issue a challenge.

Fang Zhou’s nearly perfect performance filled everyone with an unprecedented sense of pressure and awe.

He’s an absolute monster.

No matter the Profession, no matter the cadet, Fang Zhou always ended the battle with just two moves. There were no exceptions.

What was even more disheartening was that everyone knew Fang Zhou was an Undead Mage capable of summoning a Skeleton Army numbering in the hundreds.

And yet, he hadn’t even been forced to summon that army.

This meant that Fang Zhou had finished his battles without even using his true power.

"Anyone else?" Fang Zhou’s voice echoed across the silent main duel arena.

After a full minute of waiting, the arena remained utterly quiet.

The crowd was speechless. Faced with such an opponent, they had no idea what to do. They were confident cadets, but that confidence seemed insignificant before Fang Zhou.

Someone even complained softly, "For God’s sake, can’t you at least let someone use a skill?"

Even for the strongest Professions, if you were insta-killed before you could even cast a skill, what was the point of competing?

Seeing this, Fang Zhou simply stood in place and closed his eyes, adopting a relaxed and carefree posture.

Observing his demeanor, the crowd began to gradually disperse. After all, if there were no challenges, there was no spectacle.

Meanwhile, the battles on the second and third duel platforms continued fiercely.

The second duel position was firmly held by Jiang Yaoyue of Dragon City Military Academy. Every move she made was filled with power, projecting an irresistible sense of pressure. Meng Hongzhuang stood to the side, glaring at Jiang Yaoyue angrily. She had clearly just been defeated, but the disparity in their raw power left her helpless.

As for the third duel position, it was solidly occupied by Wei Beifeng from Tiger City Military Academy. He hadn’t chosen to directly confront Jiang Yaoyue, instead opting for a more secure spot. Despite this, his points kept him firmly in second place.

Wei Beifeng’s tactics were clearly conservative. He wouldn’t attack blindly. Instead, he would patiently wait for an opening and then deliver a fatal blow.

Although Jiang Yaoyue and Wei Beifeng were both incredibly strong, the other cadets could at least see a glimmer of hope when facing them.

But when it came to Fang Zhou, all that remained was deep despair.

Fang Zhou stood there quietly for over an hour, until the Grand Tournament for New Recruits finally came to a close.
