Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone-Chapter 490 - 355: True Body Advancement, Solidifying the Overturning Talent!
From these fragmented clues, Fang Zhou glimpsed the extraordinary achievements of the Naraku Civilization in developing and utilizing the Undead Realm.
Evidently, in the application of Death Power, the Naraku Civilization had far surpassed the current technological level of the Blue Star People. At the very least, Fang Zhou had never heard Instructor Su Xinyan mention any human Undead Mage capable of setting directional spatial anchors in the Undead Realm.
The existence of this altar meant that the Undead Mages of the Naraku Civilization had not only mastered entry into the Undead Realm, but could also establish stable bases there. They could then use the power of Arrays to directionally cultivate Mutated Undead Creatures.
To Fang Zhou, this capability was like a door opening to a new world.
Moreover, the altar before him was merely an experimental site used by the Naraku Civilization’s Undead Mages to cultivate Black Iron Tier Mutated Zombies. Though it had been destroyed, its remains still revealed many clues. Fang Zhou speculated that the Bronze, Silver, and even Gold Tier Array Altars must be far more complex and powerful.
This altar was only for Zombies. That meant there were likely others for Skeletons, Ghosts, Vampires, and other Undead Creatures. These altars weren’t just cultivation sites; they might also embody the entirety of the Naraku Civilization’s wisdom and technology for modifying Undead Creatures.
This filled Fang Zhou with anticipation. If I can find more of these ruins, even just fragments, I might be able to gain unprecedented power.
More importantly, the existence of the Array Altar indicated that Mutated Undead Creatures didn’t arise purely from accidental mutations. They could be cultivated through specific methods and conditions. This was of tremendous significance to Fang Zhou. If I could master this technology, combined with the Corpse Clone’s inherent Commanding Power over Undead Creatures, I could transition from fighting solo to commanding a Legion. I could even grow into a true Undead Monarch and dominate the Undead Realm.
What excited Fang Zhou most was the realization that since the Naraku Civilization could build altars in the Undead Realm, they must have mastered a technology to cross spatial barriers. This meant there might be a passage or anchor point between these two completely different worlds. If Fang Zhou could find these anchor points, it would significantly boost his power. He could use them to transport materials from the main world or, in the future, travel freely between the Undead Realm and the Mythical World.
All these possibilities, emerging from the ruins, filled Fang Zhou with infinite aspirations for the future.
Realizing this, Fang Zhou hesitated no longer. He took a deep breath and circled the magnificent yet dilapidated altar, his gaze sweeping over every inch of the broken stone walls, trying to commit the blurry array patterns to memory. Though the patterns were mottled and indistinct, Fang Zhou still tried to imprint each one in his mind.
With my current knowledge, I can’t make sense of these complex patterns yet. But with the vast information in the online database and the help of my attribute panel, maybe I can make a breakthrough in the near future.
After confirming one last time that nothing was missed, Fang Zhou turned and left the altar. With a mental command, his remaining skeleton minions immediately followed him.
The group traversed the desolate canyon and returned to the Corpse Hills.
By now, all the Zombies had been wiped out, and the altar’s core Crystal Ball was utterly shattered. The altar, once brimming with Mysterious Power, was now just an empty shell.
Originally, Fang Zhou’s only purpose for this trip was to enslave the Mutated Dual-Sword Skeleton Warrior, Yongen. However, the results far exceeded his expectations. He not only subdued Yongen but also gained a large amount of Soul Power and Four-dimensional Attribute points during the battle. More importantly, he had accidentally acquired some of the Naraku Civilization’s legacy information and the Zombie Race’s unique Talent Skill: [Corrosive Poison Incarnation].
This series of gains made the entire expedition feel incredibly worthwhile.
To ensure his safety, he ordered his skeleton minions to disperse and form a protective perimeter. Then, he opened the Corpse Clone’s attribute panel to check the changes from the night’s battle. After the fierce fight, the Clone’s Attributes had improved significantly, leaving it just one step away from the Black Iron Upper Rank.
Fang Zhou’s eyes scanned the data on the panel, a deep sense of satisfaction filling his heart. Although the Clone was still at the Black Iron Middle Rank, its overall strength far surpassed that of ordinary Undead Creatures of the same level. Even if it were to again face a creature like the ferocious Zombie that had been on the verge of breaking its racial limits, he was confident the Clone could handle it with ease.
The Soul Fire in its eye sockets flickered. Its tall frame stood firm in the wilderness.
It grasped the void, and the Corpse Long Spear in its hand became more robust and powerful. It swung the long spear gently. The sharp SWISH as the spearhead sliced through the air was invigorating. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Its heart swelled with towering ambition, but its thoughts did not stop there. As significant as the Clone’s breakthroughs are, what’s more important right now is the massive Four-dimensional Attribute enhancement from its feedback. My main body is about to break through its bottleneck and advance to the Black Iron Tier!
