Chapter 532: Chapter 380: Frenzied Battle Tactics, Explosive Leap!

Fang Zhou’s power had grown strong enough to crush this demon camp head-on, so he had little to worry about. He only needed to kill the mission target—the Deceiving Demon Commander on the other side of the camp—as quickly as possible to set a new record for the fastest clear time. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

The demon camp currently contained nearly three hundred Apprentice-level Little Inferior Demons and an estimated several dozen Black Iron Tier demons, including Horned Demons, Dog Demons, and Fiery Demons. Additionally, there were several middle-tier demons in the camp, such as Tyrant Demons and Deceiving Demons.

The normal single-player challenge strategy involved cooperating with an attacking NPC army, using diversionary tactics to lure the demons away, and then seizing an opportunity to assassinate the Deceiving Demon Commander.

However, Fang Zhou secretly assessed his current strength. I’m strong enough for a direct assault, he concluded.

He decided to act immediately. Over the past few days, he had already committed the camp’s terrain to memory.

First, Fang Zhou dispatched the Berserker Heroic Spirit, Olaf, who had undergone Extreme Enhancement. Olaf led five Skeleton Officers, fortified by the Undead Coronation and Skeleton Armory skills, along with fifty Skeleton Warriors, in a frontal assault to draw the demons’ attention.

At this point, having reached the Black Iron Lower Tier, Olaf had awakened two major Berserker Skill Trees—Golden Body and Blood Fury—significantly boosting his combat ability. Meanwhile, Fang Zhou and the rest of his Undead Creatures prepared to conduct the decapitation strike.

The battle erupted. Since all the forces were his own Summoned Creatures, commanding them was seamless. Fang Zhou only needed to give Olaf simple attack or retreat orders. Olaf and the Skeleton Officers handled all the micromanagement themselves.

As the battle commenced, Fang Zhou used a Skeleton Heart Slaying Spear, powered up by a Charging Scroll, to blast apart the demon camp’s well-defended main gate. With a tremendous bang, the gate collapsed, sending dust and debris flying. Immediately after, the Skeleton Warriors marched into the demon camp in perfect formation. They ruthlessly slaughtered every demon they encountered along the way.

Olaf wielded a massive double-bladed axe, each swing unleashing a storm of blood and gore. His towering figure looked exceptionally mighty on the battlefield, tearing through the demon defenses with every charge.

The Skeleton Officers demonstrated extraordinary intelligence and coordination, directing the Skeleton Warriors to advance in an orderly fashion. They pushed forward relentlessly, their tight formation withstanding the demons’ fierce counterattacks.

"Don’t panic! All demons, follow me!" a Tyrant Demon officer suddenly shouted.

Clad in iron armor and holding a war axe, it stood atop a dirt mound, rallying the demon soldiers. At its call, other demons of all sizes quickly fell into formation behind it with their equipment. They also organized the remaining demons to bolster their defenses, preparing to meet the next wave of the assault.

"Fireball bombardment!" the Tyrant Demon officer commanded. A scattered volley of fireballs shot out from the Fiery Demons’ hands.

Even if these attacks landed, their pathetic power was unlikely to cause any real damage. Moreover, their opponents were skeletons, devoid of flesh and blood. With Giant Shield Skeleton Warriors at the forefront, they were completely unfazed by the fireball attacks.

"Don’t waste your efforts. These are undead. They aren’t afraid of scattered ranged attacks."

Fang Zhou’s target, the Deceiving Demon Commander, finally appeared on the battlefield, supported by its aides. Looking at the attacking Skeleton Warriors, it immediately recognized their origin. "There must be an Undead Mage nearby! He’s the one controlling these skeletons!"

"Commander, what should we do next?" asked a Black Iron Tier Tyrant Demon on guard duty.

"Prepare Beneficial Magic," the Deceiving Demon Commander analyzed calmly. "We need to smash these skeletons quickly. Find the Undead Mage’s location, or he’ll just keep summoning more!"

The Deceiving Demon Commander’s eyes, filled with blasphemy and malice, scanned the surroundings. "He can’t be too far," it continued, "or he wouldn’t be able to control his summons!"

The Tyrant Demon officer quickly obeyed the Deceiving Demon Commander’s orders and fetched a large amount of casting materials.

Under the Deceiving Demon’s leadership, a group of demon casters unleashed their Beneficial Magic, instantly transforming the ordinary low-level demons. Their muscles swelled, their breathing grew heavy, and their eyes turned bloodshot, as if they had been infused with new power.

"Follow my orders! Smash these rotten bones!" the Deceiving Demon Commander roared.

It ordered its aides to plant the Bloodthirsty Totem in the ground before them. Once activated, the totem’s magic enhanced all the demons within its range. They felt their strength increase significantly, and their hearts filled with courage.

Spurred on by the Deceiving Demon Commander, the low-level demons, who had been panicked moments before, now howled and charged at Fang Zhou’s Skeleton Warriors. Even when their bodies were pierced or their limbs were severed, they would twist and crawl toward the skeletons. They were so frenzied they would even try to bite the bones, desperate to leave a single scratch. This frenzied mode of attack filled the entire battlefield with blood and chaos.

If they were facing ordinary enemies, such a frenzied onslaught would have surely affected their morale.
