Unexpected Marriage: She is the Sugar Mommy!-Chapter 314: Heartless
The chicken soup is still the same chicken soup, the taste is still the same, Seraphina Sinclair only took a small sip and stopped drinking.
"What’s wrong, doesn’t it suit your taste?" Rosalie Quinn saw this, couldn’t help but try a sip, and finally her eyes sparkled with surprise, "This chicken soup is so delicious, how is it made to be this good? Is Chloe Irving’s cooking this good?"
She had eaten meals made by Chloe Irving before, although they were tasty, they were not as stunning as this.
Seraphina Sinclair smiled slightly, "If you like it, then drink it. I don’t have much appetite."
"How can that be? This is the chicken soup Chloe painstakingly made for you. How can you just give it to me? Besides, you’re currently injured and need good nourishment, don’t you know? Quick! Drink it all." Though Rosalie Quinn liked the chicken soup, the person who needed it the most was Seraphina Sinclair.
Besides, this was chicken soup made by Chloe Irving with love for her; as an outsider, she would be too embarrassed to enjoy it.
"Why weren’t you this troublesome before? What benefits did you receive from Chloe?" Seraphina Sinclair was forced by her to pick up the small bowl again.
"You ungrateful person, I’m doing this all for you, and yet you still doubt me?" Rosalie Quinn glared at her angrily, "Am I that kind of person in your heart?"
Realizing she was at fault, Seraphina Sinclair apologized obediently, "Sorry, it was my mistake, don’t be angry. I’ll drink it all, okay?"
Rosalie Quinn turned her head snobbishly and huffed, "That’s more like it."
Logically speaking, someone like Seraphina Sinclair staying in a hospital would inevitably attract trouble, but fortunately, Desmond Fairchild had foreseen this and arranged for Seraphina Sinclair to change hospitals ahead of time, with orders for bodyguards around the hospital. Anyone trying to enter Seraphina’s hospital room, or looking for Seraphina Sinclair’s room, would be stopped.
No matter who they were, whether related to Seraphina Sinclair or not, Desmond Fairchild absolutely would not allow them to disturb Seraphina Sinclair’s recovery at this time.
Seraphina Sinclair was unaware of all this, she thought it was simply that this hospital offered greater privacy, which is why no other disturbances had arisen.
In fact, outside eyes were longingly watching Seraphina Sinclair; many were eager to see how her situation was, but they were all kept at bay by Desmond Fairchild.
Especially Nina Kerr, who had longed to see Seraphina Sinclair, but unfortunately, Desmond Fairchild was keeping such a close watch that she had no chance to get close to Seraphina Sinclair.
Nina Kerr was so anxious at home that she was stomping her feet, lamenting that such a good opportunity had gone to waste; she was really reluctant.
With such a rare opportunity to mock Seraphina Sinclair, how could she peacefully stay at home doing nothing?
Just as she was anxiously frantic, someone sent her an anonymous text: Do you want to deal with Seraphina Sinclair? If you do, come to May Café at 12:00 noon.
Nina Kerr was not without brains; such a mysterious text obviously didn’t warrant immediate trust. She quickly replied to the other side with a message: Who are you, and what purpose do you have in doing this?
The response came quickly: The opportunity is in front of you. Whether you come or not is up to you, whether you believe it or not is also up to you.
Nina Kerr thought long and hard and it seemed like there was no harm to her. Even if it was just a prank, she’d only waste a little time. But if someone did want to join her in dealing with Seraphina Sinclair, or if they had compromising material on her, it could not be better.
After thinking it over, she decided to attend the meeting.
Upon arriving at the café mentioned, Nina Kerr did not see the person.
Thinking she had been pranked, she sat down and ordered a coffee, sipping it impatiently.
At that moment, from an unknown direction, a paper airplane was thrown and landed steadily on her table.
Just as she was about to open her mouth to scold, she realized there seemed to be something written on the paper airplane.
Upon opening it, she found something completely unexpected.
It was not just any writing; it was clearly a hospital medical report, though not the current hospital admission report for Seraphina Sinclair.
Looking at the medical report in her hand, Nina Kerr couldn’t help but fall into thought.
She couldn’t verify the authenticity of the medical report, but for her, it was a good opportunity nonetheless.
Just then, her phone rang with a text message sound again.
It was another message from that person: This medical report is real. I have all her detailed treatment data. If you want to know, help me with one thing.
Nina Kerr had already sensed the other party’s sincerity and immediately replied without much thought: What do you need me to do?
Soon, the notification sound came again: We have a common enemy. As the saying goes, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I just need you to help me with a small favor. Use all the data I provide to bring down Seraphina Sinclair’s reputation and make her disappear from Bayside City.
Though she didn’t know what deep hatred they had for Seraphina Sinclair, it coincided with Nina Kerr’s thoughts. It seemed their plans aligned without prearrangement.
So Nina Kerr replied, "As long as you can provide more evidence or more dirt on Seraphina Sinclair, I will absolutely ensure she can’t remain in Bayside City."
The other party was silent for a moment and continued texting her, "Alright, it’s settled then."
But Nina Kerr still had one question: Since you hold so much information on Seraphina Sinclair, why don’t you handle it yourself? Surely you don’t want to pass the buck after it all comes to light?
She was not stupid. If the other party had so much dirt on Seraphina Sinclair, it would be easy for them to bring her down in no time. But they chose to cooperate with her, which could only mean one thing.
If none of this comes to light, then all the better. Once it does, the mastermind would be her—Nina Kerr—while the other party could withdraw unscathed.
Indeed, it was a clever move. But Nina Kerr asked no more. Since she had already decided to cooperate, she could overlook these matters.
The other party didn’t respond again, and she let it go at that.
Gazing deeply at the medical report, Nina Kerr couldn’t help but burst into laughter: "No wonder Camille White has always been with Seraphina Sinclair, turns out it’s because she has depression."
Seraphina Sinclair had hidden her depression well, so well that nobody knew except those who were close to her.
Everyone thought Seraphina Sinclair might just be in poor health, occasionally falling ill, but never considering depression.
The public was not aware of Seraphina Sinclair’s depression, if this were exposed to the media, it would indeed have quite an impact.
Yet such negative impact might only upset Seraphina Sinclair temporarily, without touching her roots.
To truly bring her down from the pedestal, they needed to exploit her depression further.
As for how to do that, Nina Kerr had no immediate ideas; she’d have to go back and think it over.
In the empty hospital room, Seraphina Sinclair couldn’t help but sneeze several times, she mumbled at the blue sky outside the window, "Who’s cursing me?"
She had been hospitalized for ten days already, unsure when she’d be discharged. Fortunately, the Kevin Group was already on track, and it could function normally even in her absence.
