Unique Gamers Travels-Chapter 210 - 206: Speedster Training

[3rd POV]

Walking through the halls of Star Labs alongside Barry, Wally, H.R, Iris, and Joe, Talia was glancing around, taking in the sights of the full lab. She already knew the layout when she sped off to France, as she had also taken the time to run around the entire property, but that was all at super speeds, now she was moving at regular speeds, giving her a better look.

She had found the secret room that housed another Gideon in this rather interesting time vault, a vault that was undetectable by any normal means, with only her magic being able to see into the vault. It was due to the rather interesting composition of the room, as well as the unique materials used within it. She was interested in it for a bit but one look at it and she understood how it worked, making it not interesting anymore.

"So what exactly are you going to teach us?" Wally asked. He had been asked to tag along by Talia, as she wanted to teach both him and Barry at the same time. The boy had more potential than even Barry did, in terms of controlling the Speed Force and using a variety of unique abilities, at least. While Barry was likely just faster than him.

"A few new techniques that neither of you seem to know. One of them involves the act of stealing the speeds of others, including other speedsters, making them slow to a crawl. It's one of the strongest techniques you can use on another person, as it will make it next to impossible to respond with an attack of their own" Talia replied.

This speed stealing technique was indeed one of the strongest techniques out there for a speedster to utilize, as it could become incredibly powerful once trained to its higher limits. Stealing the speed of others, essentially causing them to slow to a crawl, was insanely powerful in a world like this one, where speedsters begin to show up more and more. She knew that Savitar could become a problem since he would also know this technique, but she was sure that everything would be fine, as she would step in if she had to.

"Stealing the speed of others? That sounds...strong. But like, won't it hurt someone by doing that?" Wally couldn't help but ask.

"If you do it in excess it will, but it's a good thing that I know how to control it, so it won't be a problem. I'll be there to step in if you take it too far for whatever reason. And this technique will almost solely be used for stopping other speedsters, and metahumans" Talia replied, explaining that while it would be dangerous without control, she would help them learn how to use it.

Walking into the speed lab, she looked around the room with a hum.

"Not bad, the room is built to withstand the force of a speedster running at their maximum speeds. Will certainly need some upgrades soon to account for the increases in speed that these two will undergo, but good for now. I'll also need to add in better tracking systems to better keep track of the speeds of those that run through it" Talia said, her eyes looking over the room, analysing every little piece of the room.

"Hey, this speed lab is top of the line man!" HR said with a huff.

"It is indeed top of the line in comparison to this wor;ds other similar labs. But isn't anything in comparison to what it COULD be, nor is it comparable to the speed labs of some of the other speedsters in the multiverse" Talia replied, agreeing that it was top of the line, but not in comparison to the true speed labs around the multiverse.

"Alright I guess that makes sense" HR muttered, as Talia just chuckled and walked into the middle of the room, two clones forming at her left and right as their eyes widened in surprise at the sight of them.

Looking at their reactions in amusement, Talia began "These two are my clones, my helpers of sorts. They, like me, have access to the speed force, albeit at far lesser amounts. It is thanks to this that you two will be able to train this speed stealing ability safely without harming anyone"

"Move closer" Talia said, as they both glanced at each other and did as they were told. They weren't entirely sure if this was a good idea or not, which is why they had a silent conversation with one another through the glance.

"Begin to feel the speed force within you, and around you. It's all encompassing warmth, the ever present motion of the speed force that guides the universe towards the future" Talia began, as they both began to close their eyes, lightning looking energy arcing around their figures as they breathed deeply.

"Do you feel the speed within my clones?" Talia asked, as they both nodded, feeling the incredible speed that radiated out of them. It was like sparks of golden lightning, whereas the actual Talia, the real one, had so much of this energy within her that it was next to impossible to actually sense it. But it was the dark energy within her that caught both their eyes, as it seemed almost...familiar.

"Reach your hands out, feel the energy within my clones, and try to pull on that energy, using your connection to the speed force to pull on, and steal the energy for yourselves" Talia explained, as they both reached their hands out, electricity beginning to arc in their hands, as they placed their hands on the arm of the clones in front of each of them, as they began to siphon their speed, albeit slowly and clumsily.

Seeing this, Talia smiled "Good, now pull back. You've already absorbed more than you should have" Talia said, as they pulled their hands back, the clones popping moments later.

Opening their eyes, Wally and Barry looked down at their hands in slight awe, as they could feel the momentary burst of speed within them, a burst of speed that would only stay for a short while. It wasn't a small boost either, but was at least double their previous speeds, when boosted by the absolutely tiny amount they had stolen from Talia.

"You-how are you so fast?" Wally asked wide eyed, upon realizing that the fragment that he had stolen was less than 1% of her total speed, an absolutely tiny amount in comparison to what she had in total.

"My connection to the speed force is far deeper than yours or Barry's, Wally. I'm quite literally it's Champion, it's...chosen of sorts. And with that, comes more speed than any other speedster in the multiverse, and access to abilities no normal speedster would ever have" Talia replied simply, as they both went silent at this piece of information, as her power began to make more sense.

"That...actually explains a lot" Joe muttered, as it began to make more sense that Talia was so incredibly fast. Barry was fast, but only after more than 2 years of constant training, whereas Talia was obviously many times faster, which in Joe's eyes, just didn't make sense.

"And because of this connection, I can train you in ways that no other can, using new methods that wouldn't work in normal cases. That's why I'm here in the first place, well, that, and I'm interested in seeing Central City in its entirety unlike during the Invasion" Talia responded with a smile, knowing that there were some places in the city she would love to see.

Looking over the group, before stopping on Barry and Wally, Talia smiled, as she spoke once again.

"Well then, shall we continue?"
