"My grace, please." The Crown Prince turned and took his seat at the head of the room, waiting for the butler to enter.

"Your Highness, the butler, following the Prince’s orders, specifically invites the Enchanting Prince to reminisce tomorrow." The butler knelt before the Crown Prince, waiting for his response.

"Your Prince sure is well-informed. No sooner does the Enchanting Prince step into the house than you come to extend an invitation. Alright, you may go back. I’ll convey the message. As for whether he will attend or not, that’s up to the Enchanting Prince." Half-squinting his eyes, he stared at the person before him, thinking how quick on the uptake they were.

"Yes, this old servant shall take his leave." Rising and bowing, he backed out of the door before turning to leave.

"My lord, that Lord Ink is really out of line, even spying all the way to the Crown Prince Residence," complained the Crown Prince Residence’s butler, stepping forward to pour a cup of tea for his master.

"Yes, go see if my younger brother needs anything else," the Crown Prince instructed after taking a sip of tea.

"Right away, this servant is on it."

After freshening up, Xiao Chen leaned against the canopy bed, gazing at the moon outside and wondering whether the little girl had eaten, if she was cold, or if she missed me, having been away for several days.

Far away, Feng Xuxu, too, stood by the window under the bright moonlight, pondering about the days it had been since she last saw Xiao Chen, and suddenly feeling a bit unhappy.

"Miss, you should rest early. You’ll catch a cold if you keep standing in the breeze," Xia Lan stepped forward to drape a cloak over her young mistress, suggesting with concern.

"Okay, you go to sleep. No need to stay up tonight," Feng Xuxu closed the window, walked to the bed, removed her clothes, and lay down. Xia Lan drew the covers over her mistress and then quietly stepped out, closing the door behind her.

Lying in bed, Feng Xuxu thought about how that demon had gone from initially setting traps for her to later helping her out; as she reflected on each moment, she drifted off to sleep.

A night of peace.

The next day, the weather was clear and sunny. The sky, which had been overcast for several days, finally brightened up, the warm sun casting shadows on the ground.

"Little sister, little sister," the eldest brother burst into Feng Xuxu’s study in a panic.

"Big brother, what’s wrong? Why are you so flustered?" Feng Xuxu rose to her feet, looking at her brother.

"Little sister, it’s out, it’s out!" exclaimed the brother, his face lit with excitement, as he grabbed Feng Xuxu’s hand.

"Big brother, what’s come out?"

"The seedlings in the field have sprouted; we truly can grow vegetables in winter," Feng Xi laughed heartily, perhaps a bit too thrilled.

Feng Xuxu was exasperated; if vegetables didn’t sprout in winter, why would she even bother planting them?

"Alright, big brother, it’s that field that has sprouted."

"Celery, yes! I just went to look, it’s incredible."

"Yes, the leeks and bok choy should be sprouting around now as well," calculated Feng Xuxu. It had been about half a month; it was about time. As long as they kept the temperature under control moving forward, the growth would be rapid.

"In that case, big brother, I’ll go take a look at the estates myself to be reassured," Feng Xuxu said, getting ready to take the carriage to inspect the various estates.

"I’ll come with you to take a look," the elder brother anxiously wanting to see how the vegetables were doing on the estates.

The siblings arrived together at the Feng family’s first estate.

"Miss, I was just about to tell you, the seedlings have sprouted on the estate," said Feng Yi, also excitedly showing Feng Xuxu just how tall the sprouts had grown.

"Yes, we’ve come to take a look," Feng Xuxu replied, pulling back the curtain of the greenhouse. She stepped inside, and a blast of warm air hit her face.

After observing the seedlings for a while and seeing that they were growing nicely, she gave instructions about the temperature and humidity. The rest seemed fine, so she then left for the other estates. Seeing that the vegetables in the greenhouses had sprouted, she gave further instructions, and then she and her brother rode back to the manor in the carriage.
