Chapter 154: Chapter 154: The Origin of Zhangzhou Prefecture (3)

Zhang Junyi watched the three people leave before turning around to head home.

"Second Young Master, the Eldest Young Master just came by." A servant approached and handed over a wet towel.

"Oh. My brother came looking for me, didn’t he say what for?" Zhang Junyi wiped his face and hands before tossing the towel back to the attendant.

"He just came to ask if you’re getting used to living here again, and if you need anything, just go to the butler."

"Got it, I’ll go take a look."

"Big brother, big brother," he started calling out even before he was inside.

"Big brother, you were looking for me." He ran into the room to see his brother reading a book and immediately grabbed the book out of his brother’s hands.

"What are you doing? I could hear you running from miles away. You’re so grown up, yet you still can’t behave properly," Zhang Junyao said with his thick black eyebrows knitted, his expressive eyes fixed on his younger brother.

"Big brother, I won’t do it again," Zhang Junyi said, looking down, the book in his hands, pouting his mouth.

"Aren’t you going to hand the book back?" he said, shaking his head at his little brother’s aggrieved expression.

"Where have you been playing today? Look at the dirt on you, didn’t even think to change your clothes after coming back." Junyao stood up and poured a cup of cold tea for his brother and handed it to him.

"Big brother, someone stole my purse today. After I finished eating, I didn’t have any silver to pay the bill, and later a young master helped me pay. I wanted to invite him over to our place, but he didn’t come," Zhang Junyi said regretfully, sipping his tea.

"Didn’t you ask him where he lives, what his last and first names are?" Zhang Junyao asked with furrowed brows.

"I forgot," Zhang Junyi said blinking his large eyes at his elder brother.

Zhang Junyao rubbed his brow, their father had spoiled him too much, it seemed that apart from studying, he knew nothing else.

"When you see him next time, make sure to ask and then go thank him."

"Got it," Zhang Junyi replied.

"You haven’t been home for several years. When you’re free, spend some time with Grandma. Both mother and Grandma miss you a lot." Junyao said, not sure what else to say to his naive brother. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

"Got it, big brother. I’ll be off to see Grandma!" Zhang Junyi said, putting down his teacup, ready to leave.

"Visit her in the afternoon, Grandma and Mother are resting now."

"Oh, I’ll go back to my room, then. I’m sweaty all over, need to wash up." He sniffed the sweat on him, pinched his nose, and ran off.

"Hawk, go check on it," Zhang Junyao said as if speaking to the air, and then lay back in his armchair to continue reading.

Yingfu Inn, the best room upstairs.

"Miss, how long are we planning to stay in Zhangzhou Prefecture?" Yingsu asked while packing clothes, speaking to her mistress.

"Well, considering how bustling Zhangzhou Prefecture is, we will stay for some time," Feng Xuxu said, her head lowered, fiddling with the teacup in her hand.

"Baihe, go find out which broker in Zhangzhou Prefecture has the best reputation," she instructed.

"Yes, Miss," Baihe replied, turning to go downstairs. After Yingsu finished arranging the clothes, she poured a cup of cold tea for her mistress.

"Miss, are you thinking of buying a farmstead or a mansion in Zhangzhou Prefecture?" Yingsu asked, having known her mistress for a substantial amount of time and understanding her quite well.

"Buy whichever is suitable. If not, then let’s start with the farmstead," Xuxu thought. The greenhouse brought in quite a profit last winter, and if they operated here, the gains were likely to be even better.

With a creak, Baihe pushed the door open and entered.

"Miss, I’ve checked it out. There’s a broker from Wu at the northeast corner of this street. He has a good reputation in the Prefecture," Baihe reported.

"Alright, we’ll rest for a while, then head there at Wei Time," Feng Xuxu said before settling into bed to rest.

Yingsu and Baihe exchanged a glance before quietly leaving the room.

After waking up from a nap, Xuxu glanced at the sandglass on the table, stood up, and shook the creases out of her clothes.
