Qiqi and Yueyue ran into their big uncle’s courtyard, where the decorations were much more festive than outside, and the flowers in the pond were clearly precious blooms from their mother’s space.

"Being formal with me now? You go and make your toasts; I’ve got this covered," Qinmeng waved her hand, smiling warmly at Feng Xi.

Feng Xi, feeling somewhat sheepish, nodded at his cousin sister-in-law, "Cousin sister-in-law, then I’ll trouble you."
"If you dawdle any longer, it will be getting dark."
"Ah, I’m on my way." Feng Xi cast a reluctant glance at the beauty on the bed before turning to go, almost bumping into Qiqi while pivoting.
"When did you two come in?"

With a deep sigh, Qiqi remarked, "Sister, that’s not ’forgetting friends at the sight of beauty,’ it’s ’forgetting nephews and nieces at the sight of beauty,’" he scorned as he looked at his sister, thinking her truly daft.
Feng Xi looked at the two of them, their back-and-forth and their perfectly timed responses, and couldn’t help twitching his lips at the naively raised topic. He put his hand to his forehead with a sigh of exasperation, "You really are your uncle’s good nephew and niece."
"You only realize now? That’s heartbreaking," Yueyue said, patting her tiny heart.
