Feng Xuxu saw that it was getting dark already, having turned around two residences outside, but still found nothing.

Night fell, and Dugu Chen and Feng Xuxu changed into their night clothes, under the reluctant gazes of their children, they went out, and in a few flashes, they were at Prince Fu Residence.

"Stay behind me." Dugu Chen said to Feng Xuxu by his side.

"Okay."

The pair made their way to the backyard, lightly climbed a tree whose branches extended out, and observed that the houses inside the small courtyard looked run-down and lacked any candlelight. The two then jumped down and edged along the wall step by small step towards the outside.

After spending over half an hour, they finally reached the back courtyard. Approaching a larger residence, Dugu Chen halted, distinctly sensing that there were more guards here than outside, and judging by their breathing, which was prolonged and steady, all seemed to be top-notch experts.

"My dear, I think Prince Fu is here. You wait here, I’ll go in and see. If anything seems off, retreat to the space immediately," Dugu Chen cautiously advised Feng Xuxu with their unique long-distance sonic technique.

Feng Xuxu nodded at him and watched as he entered the residence.

A quarter of an hour passed, then two quarters, yet Feng Xuxu heard no disturbances from within. Half an hour went by with still no sound, until, after some more time, she finally saw him emerge.

"Let’s go." Taking Feng Xuxu’s hand, he retraced their steps, but this time, they didn’t leave Prince Fu Residence. Instead, they entered the dilapidated courtyard they had noted earlier.

Feng Xuxu looked at him and smiled faintly, praising the choice of location internally, and then the two entered the space.

"Why did it take you so long?" Feng Xuxu asked eagerly upon entering the space.

"I went to take a look at Prince Fu and also peeked into his study."

"Well, did you find anything?" Dugu Chen looked at the faint excitement in his wife’s eyes, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

"Yes, I found out where Prince Fu is staying."

"Isn’t that stating the obvious? If Prince Fu isn’t staying at the Prince Residence, he wouldn’t be living underground, would he?" Feng Xuxu’s spirits were high, but after listening to what he said, she felt her heart cool halfway suddenly.
