Unlimited estates for rural beauty-Chapter 592 Battle Against the Snake Horde (4)
Struggling against the snakes, Xiaobai simply revealed its sharp claws and with a swing, several snakes had their bellies torn open. The mutated spider also began to suck on the crawling snakes on the ground.
Feng Xuxu turned her eyes to watch Xiaobai killing snakes while approaching her. She noticed its snow-white fur was stained with red in some places, and it even had a snake in its mouth. She smiled and thought to herself that Xiaobai really was a brave tiger.
At that moment, Xiaojin was leading the main force to the forest. Upon entering, it saw a stream of snakes surging towards a particular spot and followed them.
Upon arrival, Xiaojin lifted its snake head and saw that their attack was directed at its sister. Then Xiaojin mobilized the giant pythons behind it and started enlarging its body to join the fray.
Xie Wenbin was excitedly watching them struggle in the throes of death, enjoying their unsightly struggle against the horde of snakes. Hearing a noise behind him, he turned to see a swarm of giant pythons moving towards them, having already killed quite a few snakes. Both men were greatly shocked, and Xie Wenbin stared at him in horror, "Did you summon these pythons?"
"No, Master, I’ve never learned beast taming and cannot control them." Zhu Si was also terrified.
Xie Wenbin, seeing the others still valiantly killing snakes in the distance, couldn’t believe it. Could one of them know beast taming? Otherwise, he couldn’t understand why even the beasts hidden in the depths dared to come forth and kill his controlled snakes. It seemed this person’s beast taming skills were a hundred times stronger than his, even knowing the ancient and lost art of taming. It seemed the heavens were truly against him; he shook his head with a wry smile.
"Lost, completely lost."
"Master, it’s not over yet. Who loses is not certain. We have more snakes; they have fewer beasts. A desperate fight still holds a chance for victory." Zhu Si didn’t want to die, but even more so, he didn’t dare to run. The giant pythons outside would not spare him; his only option was to encourage his master to rally and fight for possible victory.
Xie Wenbin, his eyes turning blood-red, picked up the flute from the ground and put it to his lips beginning to play slowly. The sound was extremely sharp and piercing, causing the snakes outside to fight desperately towards the direction of the people.
Seeing this, Xiaojin urgently issued a hiss, swinging its massive tail to lead the swarming ground snakes, with the giant pythons following suit. Taking advantage of the moment, Xiaojin darted forward, knowing that only by taking out the flute player could her sister and the others be safe.
Xie Wenbin naturally saw a golden python swimming towards him and nervously played a few wrong notes.
Zhu Si, nervous, gripped the sword in his hands, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed the saliva in his mouth, his eyes excitedly fixed on the golden python. He charged, lunging at Xiaojin’s vital seven-inch area with a fierce stab.
Xiaojin coiled its tail and ferociously struck Zhu Si in midair, smashing him against a tree. The tree trunk split on impact, a testament to Xiaojin’s strength.
Zhu Si, leaning against the broken tree trunk, gradually collapsed, spitting blood, his legs kicking weakly as he glared with dying eyes, and expired.
Seeing this, Xie Wenbin sighed and dropped the flute, dragging his heavy steps forward.
Dugu Chen saw the determination in his eyes and immediately felt a bad premonition, "Quick, everyone retreat! He’s going to self-destruct."
Xie Wenbin, however, laughed and watched them panic, laughing loudly, "So you too can be afraid, haha."
Xiaojin, hearing the brother-in-law’s shout, instantly soared into the air, overpowering Xie Wenbin on the ground. Extending its sharp fangs, it bit into his neck, injecting its venom into his body. Its golden body coiled tightly around him, but it did not allow him to die.
As the sound of the flute abruptly ceased, and with the aid of the pythons, the snake swarm was quickly routed and began to flee.
Feng Xuxu approached Xiaojin and patted its massive body, looking at Xie Wenbin on the ground with his face turning very red. She suspiciously asked Xiaojin, "What did you do to him?"
"Sister, I’ve envenomed him with my venom." Xiaojin blinked its red eyes, opened its snake mouth, and revealed its sharp fangs.
"My Lady, be careful." Xuan Yue, thinking it would swallow her when it opened its mouth, stepped forward with a sword to shield Feng Xuxu.
Xiaojin twisted its head, looking at Xuan Yue with a disdainful glance, then coiled its tail and swept the stunned Xuan Yue onto the ground, hissing at him, seeming to threaten him.
Huang Yi helped Xuan Yue up from the ground, relieved that he was not injured. Both of them looked towards the golden python, not understanding why it, which had clearly been aiding them, now lashed out with its tail.
"You don’t need to be nervous; Xiaojin is my pet," Feng Xuxu assured them as they all warily eyed Xiaojin, fearing that silence might lead to a conflict.
Only then did everyone understand and nod, looking at Xiaojin with eyes full of friendship.
Feng Xuxu turned her gaze to Xuan Yue, "Xiaojin was just scaring you because you pointed a sword at it."
"My Lady, I didn’t know it was your pet, so..." Xuan Yue said with an awkward smile.
"Which is why Xiaojin didn’t hurt you," Feng Xuxu said with a smile, and turned to Xiaojin, "In the future, you’re not allowed to do this again. You all need to love and care for each other."
Xiaojin blinked and, looking at Xuan Yue, nodded towards Feng Xuxu, "Understood, sister."
"Yes, My Lady."
Xiaojin curled its tail and extended it to Xuan Yue. He hesitated for a moment, looking at the tail. Was it an offer for a handshake? Suspicious, he stretched out his hand and touched the tail; thus, the two amicably shook paws.
Everyone else was astonished; they had not expected a snake to be so personable.
