Unlimited estates for rural beauty-Chapter 95 Preparing to Build a Greenhouse (7)
"This is a dairy cow, not a sick cow, and it’s very useful to me. Just build it according to my instructions,"
"Yes, Miss. I’ve already chosen the workers for the winery, and the jars were all delivered this afternoon. We can start brewing at any time."
"Good, we’ll start brewing tomorrow. Run to town again and order a batch of rock sugar and white liquor," Feng Xuxu said with satisfaction. She continued speaking with the butler as they walked outside.
"Alright, should we then call the workers from the Luo family village?"
"Yes, handle it as you see fit. We want to brew as much as possible before the fruits fall to the ground," she paused suddenly as if remembering something. "Not just the fruits I’ve given them for brewing. If they come across any other fruits, bring them back for my inspection."
"As you wish, Miss." The butler furrowed his brow in thought. "Miss, the current cave is quite small. Should we carve out another cave to store the fruits?"
"Yes, go ahead as you suggested." Feng Xuxu agreed, leaving the matter to the butler, her mind currently filled with thoughts of cream cakes.
"Oh, right, we’ve found an accountant who will arrive in a few days," Feng Xuxu slapped her forehead, almost forgetting this matter.
"Understood, Miss," replied the butler, bowing.
After instructing the butler, Feng Xuxu hurried to Lotus Garden. "Qiangwei, Moli, come with me," she said, grabbing a bucket and heading for the barn.
"Watch carefully," Feng Xuxu instructed while demonstrating how to milk a cow, stopping from time to time to explain the process in detail.
"Now, you try," she stood up to give them space, letting Qiangwei go first.
Qiangwei approached the cow uneasily, her hands trembling as she began to milk. She couldn’t seem to get any milk after a long while, her face turning crimson with frustration, tears brimming in her eyes. "Miss, I’m just so clumsy. I can’t even do this simple task right."
"It’s okay, relax. Just treat it like you’re playing. Don’t rush, take your time. I’ll guide you." Feng Xuxu instructed while Qiangwei followed. Soon enough, milk began to flow. "Wow, Miss, I did it! I got it!" she exclaimed excitedly, having finally succeeded.
"Moli, your turn." Moli squatted down calmly, recalling the steps the Miss had taught her, and was more successful this time. She opened her mouth in delight. "Miss, look, I did it too, hahaha!"
"Well done, both of you," Feng Xuxu praised them. "Take turns and milk half a bucket each, and tonight I’ll teach you how to make something delicious."
At the mention of food, their eyes brightened. There was no helping it—whatever the Miss cooked was delicious, although she seldom cooked.
In the main hall, the dinner was already laid out, and Feng Xi was waiting. Looking left and right, his sister was nowhere to be seen. Upon inquiring, he learned that she had bought several cows.
Just as he was about to go out and look for her, his younger sister entered the dining room.
"You’ve been busy all day, even missing dinner time," he remarked.
Giggling, "Brother, I’m hungry, let’s eat," she said, picking up the chopsticks to serve her brother a piece of braised meat.
"Don’t just take care of me. You should eat more too; you’ve gotten thinner lately," he said with concern, offering her a rib.
"Brother, I haven’t lost weight; I’m just growing," she said, puffing her cheeks as she rapidly chewed her food.
"Eat slowly, no one’s taking it from you." Seeing that his sister had indeed grown taller, he was surprised at how fast she had grown in just a few short months.
At her brother’s words, Feng Xuxu slowed down, eating her bowl of rice and the dishes her brother occasionally offered her. After finishing a bowl of rice, she put down her chopsticks, told her brother she had something to do, and ran off.
Feng Xuxu arrived at the kitchen in Lotus Garden, followed by several maids eager to learn about the delicious dish promised for that night. After washing her hands, Feng Xuxu began to demonstrate how to make cream. First, she mixed butter and milk in a 1:2 ratio, then started whisking. She put eggs and sugar into a pot, mixing them, added milk while heating, and whisked vigorously with an egg beater until fluffy.
