Chapter 488: 488 Remaining life is all about you_1

The wind was chilly that night, and before she knew it, Lu Qingyi had fallen asleep leaning on Xu Boyan’s shoulder.

"My dear, from now on, I’ll take care of all the cooking and chores; I’ll bring you peace and happiness, I’ll stay by your side for the rest of our lives."

Boyan gazed tenderly down at Qingyi, with gentle, loving eyes twinkling like the stars above.

His eyes were full of gentle indulgence.

A few seconds later, Boyan realized there was no response from Qingyi. He moved aside her long hair and saw that she had fallen asleep.

With a soft chuckle, he gently picked her up in his arms, and carefully made his way toward the Seaview Villa.

The night was deep, and stars had now dotted the sky. The sound of Qingyi’s even breathing could be heard clearly.

Boyan held Qingyi with great care, as if he was cradling the entire world within his arms.

Lu Qingyi was his world.

Holding her felt like holding the entire world.

He felt content.

"Wow, look at them, I’m so envious. I wish you could also hold me like that," a nearby couple said while looking at Boyan holding Qingyi in his arms like a princess, prompting the girlfriend to ask her boyfriend for the same treatment.

"Alright, alright."

Once back at the villa, Boyan was quiet and careful, opening and closing the doors softly so as not to wake Qingyi.

Normally, Qingyi woke up with the slightest noise, but that evening she slept deeper than ever, perhaps because she felt secure with Boyan by her side.

Qingyi had put on makeup that day, so Boyan went downstairs to buy makeup remover wipes. He gently removed her makeup, then washed her hands and feet, careful not to wake her.

Qingyi didn’t wake up even once during this.

"What a sleepyhead," he said while affectionately tapping Qingyi’s nose. His girlfriend looked so adorable when she was asleep.

Even in sleep, Qingyi wasn’t still; she turned and wrapped her arms around Boyan’s arm, holding on tightly.

Boyan tried to free his hand, in vain.

Resigned, Boyan laid down beside Qingyi, still dressed in his clothes, while she continued to clasp his arm tightly.

Boyan had a sleepless night, but Qingyi slept soundly.

"Good morning, my wife."

As the morning sun shone into the room, Qingyi slowly opened her eyes to the sound of Boyan’s warm and soothing voice.

Good morning, my wife.

In those six simple words, he conveyed a profound sense of happiness.

"Good morning, my husband."

Qingyi smiled sweetly at Boyan.

This must be what happiness feels like. This was their shared happiness, and they were certain it would last forever.

"About last night..."

Qingyi sat up, blinked at Boyan, and immediately felt something was off.

She hadn’t had any alcohol, but it seemed like she had blacked out; she had no memory of how she got home. That was strange.

"Silly goose, you fell asleep because you were exhausted," Boyan explained as he gently ruffled Qingyi’s hair. His voice had a magnetic quality that was incredibly soothing.

Then it dawned on Qingyi that she had fallen asleep and Boyan had brought her home.

"Hmm, maybe I was too excited the day before and didn’t get enough sleep," Qingyi suggested.

Indeed, she had been so excited and thrilled about getting married to Boyan that she barely slept the night before and woke up bright and early.

"Your hair is too long. Let me tie it for you," Boyan said as he smoothed out Qingyi’s hair.

Qingyi rarely tied up her hair— she usually let her hair down mostly because she was simply too lazy to style it.

"You know how to do that?" Qingyi asked, raising an eyebrow at Boyan.

Boyan responded, "I can learn."

For Qingyi, he was willing to learn many things that he didn’t know before.

"I smell like barbecue. I think I’ll wash my hair and take a bath."

Lu Qingyi picked up her hair and sniffed it, the smell was really starting to be noticeable.

A whiff of barbecue smell.

"Well, I’ll go too."

Xu Boyan nodded, thinking he hadn’t washed since last night either.

He had intended to, but Lu Qingyi had latched onto his arm so he didn’t have the heart to wake her and decided not to shower.

Lu Qingyi gave Xu Boyan a pointed look.

Baffled by the look, Xu Boyan touched his nose, feeling like he had said something wrong.

"I’ll wash first, you wash after," Lu Qingyi said, giving Xu Boyan a glare.

Her relative was still there, after all.

Xu Boyan couldn’t help but chuckle, reaching over to ruffle Lu Qingyi’s hair.

Turns out the little girl was overthinking.

"You shower here, I’ll shower outside, what are you thinking?"

Xu Boyan smiled and said, he did have thoughts, but the situation with Lu Qingyi wouldn’t allow for them.

Lu Qingyi felt a bit confused.

"I’ll have someone bring your clothes over later."

Xu Boyan put on his shoes and then turned to Lu Qingyi to say.

"No need, I have some at my place."

Lu Qingyi shook her head. She had clothes at her villa, so she could just shower there if necessary.

"Um, okay."

Xu Boyan didn’t have anything else to say.

"I’ll come over later."

Lu Qingyi put on her shoes and headed toward her own villa.

"Damn, why did you come back?"

Li Xiyi was lounging comfortably on the couch cracking sunflower seeds. She was surprised to see Lu Qingyi come in.

It was only eight, quite early.

Really?

Getting up so early the day after their wedding?

"Don’t tell me he was too quick and didn’t satisfy your desires?"

Li Xiyi asked with a mischievous grin, careful not to show it too much, she was even afraid of guessing correctly.

She was very knowledgeable about that aspect of life.

Lu Qingyi: "???"

What’s going on?

"Or was he too short, too small?"

Seeing Lu Qingyi not responding, Li Xiyi continued her probing, her curiosity piqued.

How disgraceful it would be if there was something wrong with Xu Boyan, a successful man who is the centre of attention.

"Are you bored?"

Lu Qingyi stopped and gave Li Xiyi a cold look.

Li Xiyi immediately made a zipping motion over her mouth.

"Do you have sanitary pads?"

Lu Qingyi had found her clothes and was ready to shower when she suddenly remembered she hadn’t brought any sanitary pads and immediately poked her head out to ask Li Xiyi.

Because her period was never timely, and she didn’t stay in the Seaview Villa often, there were usually no such amenities here.

Ever since Li Xiyi came over, she had been living comfortably in Lu Qingyi’s villa, content to be a "parasite".

"No way?"

Li Xiyi was initially daydreaming about something, but froze when she heard Lu Qingyi’s request.

Sanitary pads?

So, did Lu Qingyi get her period?

Does that mean they didn’t do anything last night?

"I have some."

Li Xiyi immediately rummaged through her things to get a pad and handed one to Lu Qingyi.
