Chapter 1839: Chapter 1840: Paying to Ransom Sun Bo

According to Sirvi, this ’Blood Alliance’ has many bases, but each base is not large.

They rarely get involved in conflicts with other organizations and are keen on taking hostages. Whenever they see foreigners or non-locals, they capture them and demand ransom money.

If the ransom isn’t paid within the specified time, they’ll decapitate the hostage and send the head to their relatives and friends.

’Blood Alliance’ is well-known because of their many bases and their relentless nature. If someone offends them, they’ll pursue them endlessly, although money can resolve issues too.

This base isn’t far from them, and calling it a base is a stretch since it’s just a few tents set up.

This is vastly different from the base Xiang Yu and the others have in the little bus.

"I really don’t get it; they call this a base?" Tie Zhuzi said disdainfully.

The three of them stood at a distance, not daring to get closer, as this was the territory of the ’Blood Alliance’.

Even Xia Cheng chuckled lightly, "Brother, with a few shells, we could take out a base like this."

"Let’s assess the situation first," Xiang Yu said cautiously.

As the three were observing, suddenly, gunfire rang out from a distance.

"We’ve been spotted, retreat quickly," Xiang Yu said, jumping into the car immediately.

Tie Zhuzi and Xia Cheng didn’t hesitate and jumped into the car, fleeing.

Gunfire crackled behind them, accompanied by the sound of motor vehicles starting up. But by the time they rushed over, Tie Zhuzi had already driven away without a trace.

"Damn, these people are quite cautious," Tie Zhuzi chuckled.

The three of them now had a basic understanding of the place, and they didn’t linger outside any longer, heading straight back to the base.

As they returned to the base, they happened to see Sirvi standing there.

"A word of warning, don’t drag us into any trouble with the ’Blood Alliance,’" Sirvi said with a cold smile.

Xiang Yu couldn’t be bothered with him and went straight into the tent.

At that moment, Xia Cheng was lying there sound asleep. He didn’t even hear Xiang Yu and the others enter.

Tie Zhuzi got irked when he saw him and was about to kick him awake, but Xiang Yu stopped him with a gesture.

"Let him sleep," Xiang Yu glanced at Xia Cheng.

Xia Cheng was quieter when sleeping; if he woke up, he’d ask questions nonstop.

Tie Zhuzi poured Xiang Yu a glass of water, and just as Xiang Yu was about to drink, the phone rang.

He quickly picked it up and saw it was a call from Sun Bo.

"Where are you?" Xiang Yu asked anxiously.

"Brother Yu, they released me. I’m safe now in a hotel in the capital of Little Syria," Sun Bo’s voice was a bit weary.

"Stay there; I’m coming to find you," Xiang Yu replied.

Sun Bo hesitated for a moment and then said, "Brother Yu, I’m in Little Syria, you shouldn’t come."

"I’m in Little Syria too, and not far from you. Wait for me there," Xiang Yu said, hanging up the phone.

Tie Zhuzi said excitedly, "Isn’t Sun Bo the kid who got released? Let’s go there now."

The three of them headed out energetically, almost bumping into Eck who was coming in.

"Xiang Yu, I need to discuss something with you," Eck said, seemingly having made a tough decision.

"Let’s talk later. Come with me to a place," Xiang Yu, in good spirits, dragged him along.

Tie Zhuzi drove, heading out into the road.

"Where are we going?" Eck asked, puzzled, as they sat in the car.

"To meet a brother of mine," Xiang Yu replied with a smile.

Hearing that Xiang Yu’s brother had been released, Eck was naturally pleased.

"Didn’t you say you had something to discuss with me?" Xiang Yu asked.

"It’s nothing now. Since your brother is released, everything is fine. Originally, I was planning to secretly gather the brothers and snatch him back," Eck laughed heartily.

Xiang Yu patted his shoulder without saying anything. Eck was straightforward and was worth befriending.

"Hey, take a left there," Eck instructed Tie Zhuzi, giving directions as they drove.

After about three hours, they finally arrived at the capital of Little Syria.

It was called the capital of Little Syria, but it was as rundown as anywhere else, with bullet holes everywhere—though better than other cities.

After all, it’s the economic and cultural center of Little Syria. Even if conflicts occurred here, organizations would try not to start a battle here but rather move to the outskirts.

Arriving at the hotel where Sun Bo was, Tie Zhuzi called out excitedly.

"Sun Bo, where are you?" Tie Zhuzi shouted from the lobby.

Everyone looked over, giving disdainful looks, but no one dared to speak, not knowing which organization the group belonged to.

"Brother Yu," Sun Bo shouted from the second floor, then rushed over.

Seeing his brother, Xiang Yu felt reassured, especially in such a foreign place as Little Syria.

"Haha, long time no see. How did you get so skinny?" Tie Zhuzi said, giving Sun Bo a punch.

Sun Bo winced in pain, letting out an "ah" sound.

Tie Zhuzi was taken aback and said discontentedly, "You’re getting softer, that was just a punch."

"Zhuzi, stop fooling around," Xiang Yu quickly intervened, checking under Sun Bo’s shirt.

Sun Bo’s body was covered in bruises, and Tie Zhuzi’s punch landed on one of Sun Bo’s scars, staining his clothes with blood.

"Brother Yu, I’m fine, just some superficial wounds," Sun Bo forced a smile, feeling guilty, "Sorry, Brother Yu, I brought you trouble again."

"Don’t say that," Xiang Yu chuckled, pulling Sun Bo to sit on a nearby sofa.

"Tell me what happened," Xiang Yu said.

"Yeah, damn ’Blood Alliance’, sooner or later I’ll..."

Before Tie Zhuzi could finish, Eck quickly covered his mouth, whispering, "Be careful what you say, there are too many people around here."

Tie Zhuzi nodded, saying no more.

Sun Bo glanced at Eck, not knowing him, but figured anyone with Brother Yu must be a brother.

Sun Bo then recounted the whole story.

Eck frowned and said, "From what I understand, ’Blood Alliance’ doesn’t have influence in that area."

Xiang Yu, leaning back, let out a cold sneer, "Looks like they’ve had their eyes on you for a while, setting a trap to capture you."

"Brother Yu, how much did they demand?" Sun Bo asked.

He knew, considering his worth, the demand would be in the millions.

"Five million," Xiang Yu said calmly.

Eck sat there, his mouth agape, looking at Sun Bo with eyes full of curiosity.

Sun Bo froze for a moment, then shook his head with a bitter smile, "Am I only worth that much?"

Xiang Yu laughed, patting Sun Bo’s shoulder, "They’re blind."

Eck, puzzled, asked, "What do you do to be worth five million?"
