The array master standing next to Chen Long was the first to make a move.

"Coiling Dragon Tie."

In an instant, the wild grass around Li Feng started growing frantically under the influence of the array, winding around his legs and body as if it had a life of its own.

Chen Long tapped his toes and leaped into the air, drawing a battle saber. The saber was also a magic artifact, and infused with Chen Long's True Qi, the saber's energy surged wildly.

Li Feng looked up at the surprised Chen Long.

Although Chen Long was startled, he was a Gate City Captain and not inexperienced. As Li Feng closed in, they began close combat.

"I'll hold him, you two go capture the women." Chen Long shouted, and his trusted subordinate turned and sprinted towards the two women.

Li Feng chuckled coldly.

Chen Long's strategy was simple, to distract Li Feng. If Li Feng ignored Xiao Luobing and Ran Yue behind him, they would be captured, putting him in a dilemma.

But can you really entangle me?

Li Feng burst forth, and though he couldn't break Chen Long's defense instantly, the Purple Flame seeped through like a small snake into Chen Long's body during their exchange.

Chen Long felt as if his arms were burning, rapidly losing strength.

The next second, Chen Long's movements slowed, revealing a flaw. Li Feng seized the chance, delivering a punch straight to Chen Long's face.

With a stumble, Chen Long's rhythm fell apart, and Li Feng pressed forward.

"Zhuang Shisan, why aren't you helping?"

He then turned, heading towards Chen Long's subordinates who were charging at Xiao Luobing. Seeing Chen Long defeated so fast, they panicked and quickened their pace towards Xiao Luobing.

Li Feng appeared to be a step slower.

A Wolf Tooth Arrow tore through the air, forcing Chen Long's underling to stop and dodge.

This delay allowed Li Feng to catch up from behind, leaving Chen Long's subordinate no choice but to punch at Li Feng.

"Are you two alright?"

Zi Yan had an evident arrow wound, the arrowhead lodged in her armor; only the shaft was broken off. Seeing people dispersing in all directions, Zi Yan was slightly surprised.

She was being chased by two archers, tricky but manageable due to her rich combat experience. To swiftly kill them, Zi Yan had traded injuries for an advantage.

The archers hadn't expected her unpredictable resolve. In such fights, if fear grips you, you're likely the one to die.

Her armor wasn't ordinary, or the outcome could've been different.

"We'll talk later; we can't let them escape."

Seeing Zhuang Shisan and the others scattering, Zi Yan intended to pursue but was stopped by Li Feng.

"No need. They won't get far."

Though it was a blessing in disguise, Li Feng had little comprehension of the Purple Flame's properties beyond its devouring nature.
