Chapter 1383: Getting Ready

-----

"A-An archdemon vessel is not something you fight every day though..." Eric sighed.

"Heheh! I guess we’ll now share that common sense with him!" Alberta laughed, giggling similarly to Erika.

"Right~?" Erika giggled along.

"No, wait Erika, I am fairly sure you were also kind of crazy strong before too..." Eric muttered.

The day continued like this, and once, at night, Blake met with Braveblitz, Aurora, and Nova.

Blake glanced at his pal, Braveblitz, looking at the night sky and the stars.

His synthetic eyes, made of glass and crystals, shone brightly beneath the moonlight.

"Hey."

"Ah, Blake..."

"You’ve been mostly silent the entire day, was the training too much for you?"

"Oh? That? It was very intense... but nothing I couldn’t handle! Hahaha!"

"Hmph... I guess you were the one enjoying it the most when the Xenoid Queen appeared again, did you?"

"Yes, perhaps that’s the case... It was fun to slay her again! Wait, where is she right now?"

"She has produced an Ascended Xenoid, but it is still incubating from an egg. She said it might hatch tomorrow. We’ll see how that goes."

"So much time just for an egg?!"

"I could sense incredible power from that egg though, it is a true Ascended Xenoid like the others we fought."

"Hmm... Well, is she just incubating that single egg? Wait, you could have brought her along to the training too! Why did you spare her from that?"

"I didn’t want her to be around us. She’ll grow strong on her own either way, so don’t worry."

"Hmph! It isn’t as if I was worried about her growth or something, I couldn’t care less about her!"

"Ah, is that so?"

As Blake smiled and patted Braveblitz’s large metallic arms, he sat down by his side.

"So do you like this world?"

"I haven’t explored all of it yet! But... yes, it’s a wonderful world!"

"Glad to hear that."

After some silence, Blake spoke again to him.

"Braveblitz..."

"Hm?"

Braveblitz looked back at his friend.

"This battle that is coming will perhaps be the hardest I’ll go through."

"..."

"If something ever happens to me... Please, take care of my friends."

"Blake...?"

"I’m counting on you."

As Blake said that he walked away in silence.

For a moment, Braveblitz remained silent as he saw his friend walk away.

But then...

He gripped his metallic fists, standing up.

"Blake! What are you even talking about?!"

"Huh?"

"You think you’ll lose or something?! Are you for real? We will get through this together, as brothers! We did it back then, we can do it again!"

"..."

Blake’s eyes widened a bit, to him, the memories of the trial were now rather fleeting.

Perhaps he needed a slight reminder.

Of how Braveblitz truly was.

"Hahaha..."

He laughed.

"W-What? You’re laughing?!"

"I used to never laugh, I used to never smile, you know?"

"..."

"But after coming to this world... I experienced many new things; I experienced what was living like a human was... And I made friends, I had a family... I fell in love."

"Blake..."

"But sometimes I still am like back then, and I think too coldly... Perhaps I am simply being pragmatically realistic. It’s how I often act."

Blake walked towards Braveblitz, extending his closed fist towards him.

"But thank you for reminding me that thinking like that isn’t right anymore. So don’t worry, I know. Thank you, my friend."

"F-Friend...?"

Braveblitz started crying tears made of oil.

As he extended his giant metallic fist towards Blake’s small human fist for a fist bump.

"Yeah! You’re welcome! Haha!"

Like that, the night came to an end, with Aurora smiling at the scene, realizing that, just like Blake had said about his emotions, she had also changed quite a lot.

From having two children, to experiencing life by Blake’s side, to coming to another world and meeting so many new and wonderful people. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

The once cold, emotionless alien had slowly begun to warm up and gain a heart of her own.

"Thank you for helping me, Blake... I appreciate everything you’ve done for me... I’ll make sure to not disappoint you."

As she smiled, several holographic windows appeared around her, she was constantly calculating things, using Blake’s powers and skills through their spiritual connection.

And then combining them with her own abilities, further trying to create something, to design it...

"This... This might work."

As the night went by and the next morning arrived, everyone woke up early, preparing for the great day.

The day that Blake told them would bring back the continent to what it was.

An insane plan that he had created taking into consideration his new powers, and the new strength of all his friends.

"T-This armor...!" Chris muttered.

"And these weapons!" Eric said.

"What the hell?! This is... kind of cool!" Erdrich said. "It even works on weapon-type spirits?!"

Everyone’s armor, weapons, and equipment had been suddenly upgraded.

Gaining white, gold, and blue colors, with mechanical and cybernetic designs, they had temporarily evolved and transformed with the power of the Astral Celestial Nanomachines.

"It is only a temporary transformation, but this should bring forth all the power of your equipment and enhance it even further," Blake explained. "It’ll also help you manipulate your new surplus of power, so you don’t end up messing up or causing a disaster by accident. Consider them training gear, not permanent. You’ll get something better later, once we’re done here."

"This is amazing, thanks Blake!" Erika said happily, kissing him.

"It is truly quite innovative, almost... a bit alien...?" Elizabeth was still puzzled by such futuristic designs.

"Now, what is your grand plan for us to suddenly move from so far away?" Elfriedden asked while crossing his arms.

"It’s simple, I’ll create portals," Blake smiled. "Aurora, bring it to me."

"Yes, master, it’s done," Aurora nodded, as she opened the palms of her hands, quickly crystalizing a large, five-meter-big blue crystal.

FLUOSH!

The crystal floated in midair, defying gravity as it constantly released blue lightning and an aura of space and time!

"W-What is that?!" Elfriedden asked.

"This is a synthetic spirit core," explained Blake. "I call it a Dimensional Stone. It has been made by combination of my own Creation Skills, a lot of materials, and Aurora’s help. It’s the catalyzer I needed to do this."
