Chapter 561: Teasing his husband

Han Zhan, "..."

Lian and Mei giggled in the back, finding the entire exchange amusing. Feeling the heat rise to his cheeks, Han Xin met Xiang Yu’s glance.

Xiang Yu had his hand wrapped casually around Han Xin’s arm, a touch that felt both grounding and exhilarating. "Do as he says," Han Xin finally replied, flustered but hiding a smile.

Kai Wang nodded. "Yes, sir," he said, smoothly taking a turn to navigate the bustling streets. The other cars followed in formation as they headed toward a familiar area.

They had been here before during supply runs, and Han Xin had a particular hotel he preferred. It was the only clean one that he could tolerate.

Soon, they parked in an underground lot, the familiar scent of oil and concrete wafting into the air as they exited their vehicles.

They reached the reception desk of the small hotel, the young man behind the counter flashing a bright smile as he assigned them rooms. Han Zhan stepped forward, handling the payment with a practised ease.

As the clerk handed over the key cards, Kai Wang took charge of distribution. "You will stay in pairs and behave yourselves," Han Zhan cautioned, a playful note in his voice. "We don’t want to bail out someone again."

At this, Han Zhan cast a pointed glance at Su Jing, who crossed her arms defensively. "That wasn’t my fault," she retorted, her brow raised. "What? Stop looking at me!"

With laughter bubbling beneath the surface, they all drifted away from the reception, their minds buzzing with excitement. They intended to rest a little before venturing out to explore and shop for things they couldn’t find elsewhere.

When Xiang Yu entered the small room they were sharing, he immediately flopped onto the bottom bunk bed. The space was tight but exuded an inviting cleanliness, the air fresh and faintly scented. Han Xin followed him inside, closing the door softly behind him.

"What’s the plan?" Han Xin asked, leaning against the wall.

"We wait. Tomorrow, we will attack," Xiang Yu replied, his tone firm yet relaxed.

Han Xin raised an eyebrow, curiosity flickering in his gaze. "Where is this research centre you are talking about?" He had been to the area several times but had never heard of a lab.

If the overseer truly owned one nearby, it was news to him. This territory was well outside the overseer’s domain, and according to their agreements, they shouldn’t intrude on another alliance faction’s territories. The thought of breaking such a pact was risky.

Xiang Yu shrugged, a hint of mischief playing on his lips. "It’s there. We will go tomorrow. Tonight, we relax."

"Okay," Han Xin replied, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly.

Xiang Yu patted the space next to him invitingly. "Come to sleep, husband."

Han Xin glanced at the top bunk and shook his head. "I will sleep there." fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm

Xiang Yu chuckled softly, the sound warm and alluring, making Han Xin’s heart skip a beat. Slowly, Xiang Yu got up and approached Han Xin. He reached for Han Xin’s collar, tenderly rubbing the fabric between his fingers.

Han Xin’s breath caught in his chest, the proximity overwhelming. Xiang Yu raised his gaze, their eyes locking in an intense moment. "Don’t you want to have our honeymoon... husband?" he whispered, a teasing lilt in his voice.

Han Xin felt his cheeks heat under Xiang Yu’s steady gaze, the implications of the words wrapped around him like a warm blanket. The invitation hung thick in the air, igniting a mix of excitement and nervousness within him.

Han Xin’s resolve suddenly snapped as he shot a playful glare at Xiang Yu. "Don’t mess around. I am going to take a shower," he declared, his cheeks flushed with a mix of annoyance and bashfulness.

Xiang Yu chuckled, amusement dancing in his eyes as Han Xin bolted toward the bathroom, looking as if he had just been harassed. He threw himself onto the bed, resting his hands behind his head, savouring the moment. Teasing Han Xin had become one of his favourite pastimes.

Time slipped by, and when Han Xin finally emerged from the bathroom, he found Xiang Yu sprawled across the bed, sleeping soundly. Han Xin paused, closing the bathroom door softly, relief washing over him. He had thought Xiang Yu would harass him when he came out fully dressed. But who would have thought Xiang Yu would fall asleep.

Han Xin’s gaze lingered on Xiang Yu’s serene face, tracing the contours with admiration. His eyes drifted down, admiring the handsome features before landing on Xiang Yu’s lips.

The memory of their soft, inviting kiss flashed in his mind, and suddenly, he craved another taste. Startled by his own thoughts, Han Xin cleared his throat and resolved to leave.

He quietly opened the door, stepping out to find Han Zhan, his heart still racing from the moment.

As the evening wore on, the sky darkened, and the city lights blinked on, casting a warm glow. Xiang Yu, who had enjoyed a long nap, was abruptly awoken by a series of knocks at the door.

He groaned, feeling around the empty bedding for Han Xin. "Husband," he mumbled, "check the door." When he felt nothing, curiosity urged him to open his half-lidded eyes.

He was alone.

Disappointment flickered in his chest as another round of knocks followed, accompanied by a familiar voice.

"Psst! Master!" Lian called softly.

"It’s us! We have got the things!" Mei chimed in, her excitement palpable.

Xiang Yu rubbed the sleep from his eyes and replied, "Okay." He quickly slipped on his shoes, trudging over to the door and pulling it open. Lian and Mei peered inside, their faces bright with enthusiasm.

"Where’s big brother?" Mei asked, scanning the room.

"I don’t know. What time is it?" Xiang Yu replied, frowning slightly.

Lian checked her pocket. "About seven-thirty."

"Okay, let’s go after I wash my face," Xiang Yu said, stepping back into the bathroom.

He splashed cool water on his face, shaking off the drowsiness. Once refreshed, he left a quick note for Han Xin on the bedside table and exited the room, joining Lian and Mei.

The three of them left the hotel, stepping into the vibrancy of the night.

"Where do I change clothes?" Xiang Yu asked, looking expectantly at his friends.

"There’s a nice restroom at the shopping centre," Lian answered, grinning.

"Okay," Xiang Yu said, nodding as they walked through the lively streets of Neon City.
