Chapter 565: Retribution

He focused harder, drawn into the scene unfolding before him. When he saw the face of the person standing there, his blood turned to ice. He froze, his mind racing. The calm skies of his thoughts shattered, replaced by a tempest of rage and fear.

Xiang Yu was unaware that he was being watched. Suddenly, Han Xin appeared on the balcony. The movement startled Xiang Yu, his eyes widening in shock.

Han Xin stood there, a dark figure against the night sky, looking like a fiend ready to unleash fury. Lightning flashed behind him, casting stark shadows that made him appear even more menacing.

At that moment, the air crackled with tension. The storm inside Han Xin mirrored the one outside, each heartbeat a reminder of his raging emotions.

Xue San sat helplessly in the chair, tied tightly by rough ropes. He dared to hope when he heard footsteps, believing the overseer had sent someone to save him.

But as the intruder stepped into the light, chills crept down his spine, and he felt as if he were staring at King Yama himself.

Han Xin entered slowly, each step deliberate. Xiang Yu’s breath caught in his throat at the sight. Han Xin’s eyes glimmered with unsettling intensity as if he planned to devour everything in his path.

Xiang Yu forced a smile, awkward and strained, trying to ease the tension. "Xin-ge, how are you here?"

Han Xin walked in, an aura of frost surrounding him. He glanced at Xue San, his expression filled with disgust. Xue San’s blood ran cold under that gaze, choking him like a tightening noose. Outside, the rain began to pour heavily, splattering against the balcony, accompanied by roaring thunder.

"What, am I not invited... to whatever this is?" Han Xin said, his voice sharp and filled with icy disdain. He leaned against the wall, his posture casual yet menacing.

Xiang Yu flipped the stolen key card between his fingers, and Han Xin noticed it immediately. Xiang Yu moved closer and handed it to him.

Han Xin studied his slender fingers as they pinched the key card, his silence heavy with unspoken questions. Xue San could feel the air thickening with tension.

Xiang Yu gestured with his eyes, urging Han Xin to take the card. With slight hesitation, Han Xin accepted it. When he examined the card, he saw it was for the research centre.

Understanding flooded him, but confusion set in. Why was Xiang Yu dressed like this? And why was this man naked?

Xiang Yu handed Han Xin the device. "Wait for it to finish," he instructed. Han Xin merely grunted, his mood clearly sour. The storm’s fury outside echoed his feelings, and an unsettling quiet fell within the room.

Xiang Yu stepped closer to Xue San, his voice dripping with contempt. "This ending is befitting for you. It’s such a shame that all the women you traumatized with your tiny dick can’t see your downfall."

His words cut deep, fueled by memories of the disgusting men he had encountered during his time at the brothel as a child.

Xiang Yu’s mind flashed back to wealthy patrons who took pleasure to the extreme. They choked and beat the courtesans, venting their anger on those who had no choice but to endure for a price.

He remembered the sorrowful fate of two sisters who had died at the hands of a powerful merchant. The Madam could only ban him from their services, but it was too late for those girls. At that time he was powerless but now he would unload that burden on this asshole.

He felt a familiar rage bubbling up inside him. Xue San was dangerously close to becoming like those men, a predator who used his power to inflict pain.

To him, death was far too easy a fate for someone like Xue San. He craved humiliation and wanted the world to remember this moment, even long after Xue San was gone.

Without warning, Xiang Yu yanked Xue San’s belt off, his actions swift and decisive. Han Xin, who had been focused on the screen of the device, turned his attention to the scene. Though his eyes remained on Xiang Yu, there was curiosity swirling within.

Xiang Yu’s expression turned fierce and terrifying as he began to strike Xue San with the belt. The sound echoed, sharp like a whip cutting through the air. "What did you say to them while you beat them, huh?" he demanded, each swing fueled by haunting memories.

Xue San let out muffled cries that mingled with the sounds of rain hitting the balcony outside. Pain contorted his face, tears mixing with snot as he struggled against the ropes that bound him.

As each strike landed, Xiang Yu felt a twisted sense of satisfaction. This was not just punishment... it was retribution. Every cry from Xue San was a reminder of the suffering inflicted upon the vulnerable. He wouldn’t let Xue San forget what it felt like to be weak, to be broken.

Xiang Yu struck Xue San repeatedly with the belt, each crack echoing in the room. He paused, breathing heavily before taunting, "What was it? Shut up, you fucking bitch! Was that it?"

With each swing, he targeted Xue San’s torso, thighs, and crotch. The man cried out in pain, his voice cracking under the pressure. "Act like you like it," Xiang Yu sneered. "Beg me for mercy, you hoe. Was that it?"

Han Xin, watching from the corner of the room, felt shivers run down his spine. Remind him never to offend his man.

The thought of being tied up on the bed and beaten bloody was unnerving. Little did Xiang Yu know that his sweetheart was traumatized by the scene unfolding before him.

Suddenly, Xiang Yu kicked Xue San hard in the chest, sending him crashing backwards with a loud bang. Tears streamed down Xue San’s face as he cried in agony. Xiang Yu, fueled by a fierce determination, pulled out his blade and cut through Xue San’s ropes. The man, desperate and afraid, wanted to struggle, but he was no match for Xiang Yu’s strength.

Xiang Yu removed the sock from his mouth and grabbed him by the back of the neck, dragging him toward the balcony. "You can’t! You can’t kill me!" Xue San pleaded, panic gripping his voice. "The overseer will have your head!"

"Why would she come for revenge when you committed suicide?" Xiang Yu replied coolly. Xue San’s expression froze in disbelief. "What?" he stammered.

Xiang Yu smiled with satisfaction. Without another word, he threw Xue San off the balcony. The man’s body fell through the rain, striking the pavement below. Xiang Yu sneered, a sense of triumph swelling in him as he walked back inside.
