Villain: Without morals, you can't be manipulated!-Chapter 21 - Whats Wrong with Borrowing His Girl?
Chapter 21: What’s Wrong with Borrowing His Girl?
Lan Yuxi’s father worked in the Criminal Investigation Unit, and everyone knew how busy that was. He was hardly ever home, even more absent than Qi Lin’s parents.
Her mother, a head nurse, was also constantly working overtime at the hospital. As a result, Lan Yuxi usually ate lunch outside.
“Hey, Aunt Chen, I won’t be coming home for lunch today,” Qi Lin said on the phone.
After hanging up, he turned to Lan Yuxi and said, “Let’s go.”
“Go where?”

Lan Yuxi still couldn’t figure out what Qi Lin had in mind.
“To eat lunch, of course. You’re not going home for lunch, and I’m worried you might forget about my answers. So I figured I’d supervise you a bit,” Qi Lin said as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Lan Yuxi: “…”
“You’ve been following me?”
Lan Yuxi glared at Qi Lin with her beautiful eyes. Otherwise, how would he know she didn’t go home for lunch?
“Yup, I’m just a pervert who stalks you every day,” Qi Lin replied sarcastically.
“Enough with the nonsense. Hurry up, or there won’t be time for you to copy the answers. If that happens, I’ll just publish those ‘spicy’ photos of yours.”
Lan Yuxi’s face turned red with both shame and anger.
Spicy photos?
The way he said it, it sounded like they had done something unspeakable. But Qi Lin was a scoundrel she couldn’t win against.
Frustrated, she could only pout and follow behind him.
“Boss, a plate of spicy chicken, a plate of kung pao chicken, and two bottles of beer. Our class rep is treating!”
Walking into a restaurant near the school, Qi Lin casually placed the order.
Hearing this, Lan Yuxi froze for a moment.
“Hey, you’re a rich kid. Why are you making me pay for lunch?”
Lan Yuxi whispered in dissatisfaction. Her father was very strict with her. Although he allowed her to eat out, he only gave her a fixed allowance for each meal.
If Qi Lin made her spend her lunch money on him, she’d have to settle for something much simpler for her next meal.
“Your Wang Cheng freeloads off me all the time, costing me hundreds. What’s wrong with me freeloading off his girl for a change?”
Qi Lin leaned back in his chair and casually opened a bottle of cold beer.
Ah, nothing beats beer in the summer.
Lan Yuxi’s face turned red with embarrassment and anger at Qi Lin’s shameless words.
“Qi Lin, I’m warning you! For the last time, I have nothing to do with Wang Cheng, and I’m not his girlfriend. If you keep joking about it, we’re done!”
It was one thing to have an agreement, but openly admitting it was something Lan Yuxi, as a young girl, simply couldn’t handle.
“Oh, so you’re not Wang Cheng’s girlfriend? Then why, when I kissed you earlier, did you react like someone failing to stay loyal to him? You were so dramatic.”
Qi Lin feigned surprise.
“To be honest, kissing you was refreshing—sweet, even. If you’re really not with Wang Cheng, how about letting me kiss you again?”
He leaned forward with a teasing grin, puckering his lips.
“Ugh! Even if I’m not with Wang Cheng, I wouldn’t let you kiss me again!”
Lan Yuxi turned her flushed face away, unable to handle Qi Lin’s bold teasing any longer.
In the end, Lan Yuxi gave in and paid for Qi Lin’s portion of the meal as well.
After lunch, she took out paper and pen to copy the answers for Qi Lin. If someone had told her this morning that she’d be treating Qi Lin to lunch and copying answers for him, Lan Yuxi wouldn’t have believed it.
But within a single morning, karma had caught up to her. Life sure was unpredictable.
“Here you go.”
Lan Yuxi worked quickly, and her handwriting was neat and elegant. Although she had cheated, she was still worthy of her title as a top student.
Qi Lin didn’t even glance at the answers before shoving them carelessly into his pocket. He hadn’t asked Lan Yuxi to copy the answers because he wanted to cheat or score high on the test. Those things were meaningless to him.
This extra set of answers was actually part of the next trap he was setting for Wang Cheng. However, Qi Lin’s rough handling of her work made Lan Yuxi frown slightly.
His carelessness toward her efforts annoyed her. But then she sighed inwardly. This was Qi Lin, not Wang Cheng. What more could she expect?
“Come with me,” Qi Lin said, standing up and grabbing Lan Yuxi’s arm, as if leading her somewhere.
But this time, Lan Yuxi had had enough.
“I’ve already copied the answers for you. I’ll get your water this afternoon. What more do you want?”
She angrily shook off Qi Lin’s hand.
“Are you just worried I’ll keep bullying you? Fine, I promise I won’t touch you today. I just want to pick up my car. Someone scratched it yesterday, and it’s in the shop.”
“Once I get the car, we’ll go pick someone up—nothing else.”
Qi Lin spread his hands in explanation.
Hearing his assurances and seeing that it was just about picking up his car and giving someone a ride, Lan Yuxi relaxed. She hadn’t seen Qi Lin’s car at school that morning, so he wasn’t lying.
“Today, you’ve trampled all over my boundaries. If I find out you’re lying, I don’t care if you release those photos—I’ll turn on you,” she warned him with a pout.
With that, she reluctantly agreed.
What Lan Yuxi didn’t know, however, was that even the errand of picking up the car and giving someone a ride was part of Qi Lin’s scheme. If she knew who Qi Lin was planning to pick up, she wouldn’t have gone even if it killed her.
