Villainess X Villain: They are obsessed with each other!-Chapter 21 -: 20 Damn that guy.
The little girl, Rosel, blinked up at him with those big starry eyes.
She nodded once, very seriously... then whispered even softer, "...Papa?"
Julius let out a tiny, tired sigh. His shoulders dropped like he had already lost the fight.
He picked her up gently and held her against his chest so no one else could hear.
Rosalina stood frozen behind the half-open gate. Her mouth fell open a little.
’Papa...? Rose...? Kill him...?’
Her brain short-circuited.
She watched Julius carry the cute little girl toward a waiting black carriage.
Rosel snuggled happily against his shoulder, smiling like the world was perfect.
Rosalina’s face turned from shocked... to pink... to bright, burning red.
Her fingers gripped the gate so hard the metal creaked.
"Who... the hell... is that kid?" she whispered through gritted teeth.
’And why is she calling him Papa? And why does he look so soft with her?’
Inside her chest, jealousy exploded like fireworks.
Mixed with confusion. Mixed with something that felt dangerously close to heartbreak. She didn’t move.
She just stood there, peeking, heart pounding loud enough she was sure they could hear it.
Julius opened the carriage door.
Rosel waved her tiny hand happily at nothing in particular.
"Oh... he is so dead," Rosalina murmured.
But it wasn’t the normal Rosalina saying it.
A tiny version of her popped up right next to her left ear, small enough to sit on her shoulder.
This mini-Rosalina had glowing red eyes, two sharp little horns on her head, and a wicked grin.
She was holding a mini trident that sparkled with tiny red flames.
"I will eat him alive!" the devil mini shouted in a high-pitched, angry voice.
She raised her trident like she was ready to charge straight through the gate.
Before she could jump off Rosalina’s shoulder —
Poof!
Another tiny Rosalina appeared right in front of her, blocking the path.
This one had soft white angel wings, a gentle glowing halo, and a kind, worried face.
She held up both hands like a stop sign.
"You can’t do that!" the angel mini said sweetly but firmly.
The devil mini froze mid-jump. Her red eyes narrowed.
"You!! Step aside! I’m going to kill him for cheating on me! You hear me?! I will make him regret ever looking at anyone other than me!"
The angel mini floated a little closer, wings fluttering.
"We need to think first. At this rate, we’ll get exposed. We still don’t even know who that little girl is... or why he’s acting so soft with her."
"If we rush out now screaming and throwing fire, everyone will see. The whole academy will know how much we like him!"
The devil mini stomped her tiny foot in mid-air. Her trident sparked.
"I don’t care! He called her something cute! He carried her! He looked happy!
He’s mine! MINE!"
The angel mini sighed and put her hands on her hips (somehow looking adorable while doing it).
"Yes, yes, he’s yours.
But if we scare him away now, we lose him forever."
She put one tiny hand on her chin like she was thinking deep.
"Think carefully," she said in her calm, sweet voice.
"How can he have a child? From the looks of it, that girl is four or five years old. And he’s barely fourteen. So how... you know what I mean, right?"
The devil mini tilted her head, horns twitching.
Her red eyes blinked fast. "What do you mean?" She poked her trident forward like she was ready to stab the air.
"She means... he can’t have a kid when he’s just fourteen."
Big Rosalina finally spoke up from her hiding spot behind the gate.
Her face looked worried, eyebrows scrunched, lips pressed tight. But her voice came out steady.
She glanced back at the carriage. Her heart was racing, but the angel’s words clicked in her brain.
"If that girl was really his daughter, he would have... you know... done the thing when he was only nine. That’s impossible.
Think logically."
She nodded to herself, feeling a tiny spark of hope.
Maybe this wasn’t what it looked like.
Maybe he wasn’t cheating or hiding a secret family.
The devil mini crossed her arms and floated higher, looking grumpy.
"But... but! You know how it is these days?"
She waved her trident around wildly.
"He’s the only son from his big, powerful father. What if he matured early? Like, really early?"
"Rich kids get all kinds of weird stuff, potions, magic, who knows! He could have grown up fast and... and... boom! Kid!"
The angel mini shook her head softly, halo shining.
"No, no. That doesn’t make sense.
Even with magic, biology doesn’t work that way."
"We need facts, not wild guesses. Maybe she’s a sister? Or adopted? Or... something else?"
The devil mini stomped in the air again.
"Facts? I say we march over there and demand the truth! If he’s hiding a kid, I’ll poke him with this until he talks!"
"Quiet, both of you!"
Big Rosalina snapped in a sharp whisper.
Her eyes flicked toward the road, the black carriage had just stopped at the edge of the academy grounds.
Julius was stepping out.
"He’s coming. We’ll deal with him when the time is right. Now hide!"
She spun around and ran back toward the academy building, keeping low behind the tall bushes and stone pillars so no one would see her sprinting like a thief.
The two mini versions vanished with tiny *poof* sounds, devil one grumbling, angel one nodding obediently.
They disappeared into thin air, but Rosalina could still feel them buzzing inside her head like angry bees.
*Damn that guy...*
She pressed her back against the cool wall of the building and peeked around the corner.
Her heart was hammering so hard she could hear it in her ears.
She tried to push the devil mini’s words away, but they kept coming back.
’What if that girl really is his child?’
The thought made her stomach twist.
She told herself over and over:
’The angel was right. It’s impossible. He’s only fourteen. If the girl is four or five... he would’ve been nine or ten. That can’t happen.’
’But... what if she is his daughter somehow?’
The jealousy burned hotter. She clenched her fists until her nails dug into her palms.
*Poof!*
The devil mini popped out again beside her ear, red eyes blazing, trident raised high.
"Then we make him regret ever doing it!" she hissed in her tiny, furious voice.
She jabbed the trident into the air like she was already stabbing something. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"Poke! Poke! Poke until he begs!"
"Shh!" Rosalina hissed back, swatting at the air even though the mini was too small to hit.
"Not now!"
Meanwhile...
Julius stepped fully onto the academy grounds.
He had left the begging Rosel in the carriage but it was really hard to resist her tantrums.
He looked around slowly, at the students walking by, at the tall buildings.
"Haa..."
He let out a long, tired sigh. "It’s really bothersome."
He muttered it mostly to himself.
Carrying a secret little girl around who kept calling him "Papa" in public?
Trying not to let anyone figure out why he suddenly cared so much about one small, pink-haired child?
Everything felt heavy today.
However, for some reason, when he looked at her he felt very warm inside.
"She is just like my Rose," he murmured to himself as a small gentle smile appeared on his face, "I should introduce them some time"
From her hiding spot behind the pillar, Rosalina saw it.
That tiny, soft smile.
"That place should belong to me....and our off-spring not some....."
Her chest squeezed. Jealousy. Confusion.
And something else she didn’t want to name.
She whispered to herself, voice shaking just a little:
"I have to know the truth...No matter what."
The devil mini appeared again, grinning wickedly.
"Truth first... then revenge?"
The angel mini floated up on the other side, gentle as always. "Truth first. Always."
Rosalina took one deep breath.
Then another.
She stepped out from behind the pillar, slowly, calmly, like she hadn’t been hiding and spying at all.
"I must know who the girl is!"
