Chapter 88: Arcania Academy (2)

Someone from the crowd shouted while pointing his finger at the giant carriage coming their way, holding the sigil of the royal family on top of its head.

Naturally, everyone turned their head to look at the Royal carriage.

No matter who they are, a prince is a prince. Someone they can’t mess with.

Every noble turned their head, some even nervously. It was their first time seeing someone from the Royal house, especially the prince.

"How great it is that we are in the same year as the prince?"

Naturally, many had the same thoughts, using the connection that they can build with the prince to strengthen their family.

Some girls even looked forward to establishing a profound connection for even more leverage.

Having someone from the royal house in their year was a rare occurrence. So it’s not even a bit strange that they feel blessed.

However, not everyone felt the same.

’What the fuck are they even clamouring about?’

Definitely not Noah.

He might be a prince, but it’s not that he is the crown prince of this kingdom.

There are 2 people in line for succession to the kingdom.

He and his elder sister, the first princess of the kingdom, are already inside the academy.

Someone who is destined to die in the first arc if no one interferes.

But he was somewhat interested in him for sure.

Cause the prince of this kingdom, obviously holds a deeper character value than others.

He wasn’t a villain, and not a neutral character either.

He was one of the supporters the MC had after they became friends in the entrance test.

The plot armour in effect.

Also, the prince hated Noah. He was someone who values respect, strength and integrity, which Noah lacked completely. He did not have anything on him.

Though, that feeling was mutual.

Noah did not like him either.

As Noah remembered the plot that was about to unfold, someone walked towards him from the crowd.

"Such a pity. I wanted to be the leader of this generation."

A girl, a little taller than Noelle, with similar proportions to Noelle, walked towards them.

She had waist-length pink hair with eyes like the flowers of cherry blossom.

Hiding her face with a folding fan. She sounded sad as she talked about not being the leader of their generation.

She came to Noah’s side, while tilting her head up to look at the descending carriage.

As she walked towards them, Rose immediately bowed her head,

"Greetings, Lady Milim."

Noah frowned a little when Rose did that. He wanted to say something to her, but he was not there.

Instead, he looked at the girl who casually came to his side.

No one would dare do that unless they wished to have a death wish, but she was an exception.

Milim Viremont.

The sole heir of another dukedom. Someone who has every right to be on equal footing with Noah and Noelle.

The Asthor family was recognised for the military authority, while the Viremont family was famous for their immense wealth.

Some even claim that they might have the same amount of financial resources as the Royal family.

However that did not mean they had only that, they are a duke family for a reason and hold almost similar war power, albeit on a bit lower side than Asthors.

Though, that gap can easily be filled with money.

"Milim..." Noelle also uttered her name after Rose greeted her.

Only after Noelle called for her did she smile at her and respond with, "Oh, hey there, Noelle. Are you feeling well?"

There was hidden haughtiness in her tone, which was hard to ignore for Noah.

’Milim Viremont...’

There was no way he wouldn’t remember this character. She was one of the heroines of the story.

He became someone who aided the MC financially in everything he did.

Along with money, she had one more thing to her... a sense of superiority.

Raised as the sole heir in such a wealthy family with praises coming from every side of her... she was far too overconfident and arrogant.

She doesn’t even consider anyone as her equal here, which was pretty evident when she said she wanted to be the leader of this generation.

"I am," Noelle responded calmly, even though she also knew Milim did not care about that.

"Oh, I thought you would be more heartbroken. After all, you lost the entire duchy to your brother."

She pretended to gasp and then smirked while saying that. Throwing a brutal truth at Noelle, who had zero impact on her.

"Doesn’t matter." Noelle shrugged it off, playing casual.

She wrapped her hand around Noah’s and said, "If it’s for my brother, I can give up anything."

He could feel her soft breasts pressing against his shoulder, and clearly knew she was doing it intentionally.

However, he did not mind at all. No point in holding back now since no one can hold him back anymore.

He simply smiled, looking at her, then shifted his gaze to Milim.

"Isn’t it quite arrogant of you to think you can become the leader of this generation?" He asked.

"Not at all," Milim answered with confidence.

She then continued, "I thought maybe Noelle or me will be competing for it at first, but then you came out of nowhere. But it was fine too. Then, I heard Lucian is coming too. All my dreams were shattered. How much can a poor girl like me handle? I feel like crying right now."

Such drama... Noah couldn’t even believe that.

’Did I write her character like this?’

Even questioning why he wrote her like that. Yeah, he needed someone rich and wealthy, which came along with this narcissistic drama queen.

"It will be better if you don’t act like that in front of me. Who knows, something unexpected can happen."

"Is that a threat or a warning? How could you even say something like that to a vulnerable weak girl like me, young duke?"

’Vulnerable and weak? How laughable.’

She was someone far from it.

Along with wealth, she had access to all the information about the world, which included the invaders too.

She was probably the only one from the young generation to know of that, but the information about her knowledge of the invaders wasn’t known to anyone else.

That was the strong information network she had.

It won’t be false to say that, she probably knew of Noah’s win within a day or two.

While news does spread fast, not all know of that yet. Even here, among all these nobles, most probably still think of Noah as the same trash as before.

Milim would have been the same had she not known beforehand.

But with the way she is talking as if they are in equal strength, Noah figured she did not have information about his win against Wasker.

That news wasn’t spread to anyone else to begin with. Eleanor knew of it, and the soldiers on the field there did, besides that, Wasker made sure no one else would spread the result of that duel.

"Are you going to wait for Lucian to come down? Bow to him like a noble lady and let him walk like he is the king? Or maybe even try to ask for a dance?" Noah asked sarcastically.

His pride was great, but Milim’s wasn’t any lower either.

No matter what, she won’t let someone hurt her superior pride.

"Aren’t you going to do the same? Or, do you plan to challenge the prince and enter first?"

She fired back, questioning his pride.

In the original story, Lucian, the prince, was the one who walked through that portal first.

That was the only thing mentioned in the story, but how did that happen? He did not write that.

It wasn’t necessary.

Why would he even write about anyone else besides the MC?

But now that he was living this moment, he could tell what must have happened.

No one dared to stop Lucian.

Noah had no strength then, Milim wouldn’t have questioned Lucian’s authority despite her pride, and as for others, they were a bunch of extras, not even worth getting more than a few lines.

Though, not everything can happen along with the original storyline.

The carriage of the prince landed, and from there, a young manwith glowing, bright red hair walked out. He was tall and handsome, instantly charming every lady who was already willing to throw themselves on his bed.

There were some men too, envious of his glory.

Noah was indifferent to all this. He did not get this much attention from the ladies, even when he was equally or even more handsome than him.

All due to his reputation. No one was willing to be with him, even if he was the son of a duke.

"I remained a trash for 3 years, do you think pride matters to me?"

Noah asked, his eyes sharply fixed on Lucian who was walking confidently towards the portal without caring about anyone else.
