Void Cultivation-Chapter 204-
Grey did not say anything, but his gaze and expression was one of indifference. He opened his mouth and said calmly. "You tried to kill me."
The small figure laughed. His indifferent expression changed to a smiling one. The change was very subtle and strange. But Grey’s expression did not change even once. "Fellow cultivator, you must have fought against my projection. But that is not truly me. It’s just a series of attacks that I pre-planned. There is really not grudge between the two of us."
Grey was not impressed. If he had been any weaker in terms of strength, then maybe he would not be standing here. And for the middle-aged man to disregard his life so easily, Grey’s thoughts couldn’t help but get colder. And his eyes could help but gleam with a killing glint.
"Fellow cultivator, I’m in the Spirit Core Formation realm and have very little use for what this old man might have in his possession. I only need his body because of a special technique I cultivate. I will be very grateful if you can leave this old man for me." The middle-aged man said softly. And with his lack of fluctuations, he looked like a carefree and friendly person.
"Me and him have a grudge. I cannot let him go. Either one of us has to die." Grey did not say anything again before he started walking towards the old man calmly.
The small figure of the middle-aged man stared at the incoming Grey with an unreadable expression. He then sighed. "Fellow cultivator... please let him go. Whatever grievance you bear, I can..." The middle-aged man started to say before Grey suddenly made a grabbing motion with his hand.
The small figure appeared in his hand with a stunned expression on it’s face. But before it could do anything, Grey ruthlessly clenched his hand. The small figure could not even let out a shrill cry before it dissipated into fog that seeped back into the old man’s nostrils.
The middle-aged man appeared some moments later. But before he could even open his mouth to talk, Grey repeated the same action of grabbing the small figure and clenching.
As the small figure turned into fog again and was about to seep into the old man’s nose, Grey suddenly brought out an item from his storage ring. It was a green pearl. Specifically, it was the spirit devouring pearl that the old man had brought out before.
Green fog could be seen inside the Pearl as it instantly flew over to the fog of the small figure that wanted to seep into the old man. As moaning sounds rang out, the fog from the small figure started to be absorbed by the green pearl. But before that could happen, a cold snort came from the fog and the sound of fingers snapping was heard.
The green pearl was suddenly faced with a pressure that surpassed normal cultivators in the Foundation Establishment Realm with one ball of fire. The green pearl was under this pressure and cracking sounds started to ring out. Cracks also appeared on the green pearl like it was about to be opened.
But the green pearl proved that it was not a normal item, and bore the brunt of the pressure. In another two breaths of time, the fog from the small figure was crushed and absorbed by the pearl. The inside of the Pearl suddenly let out banging sounds, but right after, Grey heard a small voice speak in his ears.
That voice did not really speak in his ears, but the method it used to speak was so strange that it made it seem like it was talking to Grey in his ear.
’The moment you kill him, I will find you! I placed a mark on his soul. The moment he does, that mark will be transferred to you and with it, I’ll be able to find you.’ The voice said in a threatening tone, but Grey ignored it.
Once he had made a decision, it was very hard to convince him otherwise. Especially when that decision had something to do with his life. Grey would not let go of any threat to his life. Such a decisive person would not be intimidated by mere words.
As soon as the green pearl absorbed the fog, Grey made a quick swipe and the pearl disappeared into his storage ring. He then looked at the old man who was on the brink of death. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Without hesitation, Grey stretched out his hand. And the totem of the Soul Devouring Bird on his hand came to life. The Soul Devouring Bird spread it’s wings as it let out a loud cry.
Immediately after, it began sucking deeply at the old man. The old man, who had long been unconscious, suddenly awoke due to the change that was happening to his soul. As he woke up, he saw Grey string coldly at him while a Purple Bird with Six wings sucked deeply at him.
It only took him a secind to realize that the purple bird that was sucking at him was actually his Blood Devouring Fiendish Bird. In shock, he opened his mouth to talk, but found that he did not possess the strength.
His body became incomparably weak. The old man was helpless and could only look at Grey with pleading eyes. But the Soul Devouring Bird kept on sucking deeply. After ten breaths of time, the old man breathed his last.
The Soul Devouring Bird had a delightful expression on it’s face as it kept sucking. Soon, nothing remained of the old man except for his clothes and his storage bag.
As the old man was reduced to nothing but ashes, the Soul Devouring Bird let out a joyful cry as it circled around Grey. Grey couldn’t help but look at the Soaring Bird with a happy expression.
The threat of the old man had finally been resolved. And now he could sleep a little better at night.
