The Xuanyuan Sword triggered its Mountain Crush effect and sliced a magic knight’s shield in half. It also sliced through his neck and dealt around 4 million damage. The magic knight stared at me with disbelieving eyes as he slowly slid off his mount and died. He couldn’t believe that there was someone who could dish out 4 million damage with a basic attack.
The 17k Dragonlight Cavalrymen displayed incredible prowess as well. They were able to mow down the enemy shielders like grass and shred the catapults and ballistae further behind like they didn’t exist. Their Defense was just too high for most players to pierce. It wasn’t a surprising outcome. Not only did they enjoy Sky City’s King of Cities’ buff and Dark Moon City’s buff, their Dragonscale Beast’s Dragon Soul skill further boosted their Attack and Defense by 50%. More importantly, the Dragonlight Cavalrymen in this battle were all veterans who had fought a hundred battles at minimum. I guaranteed that their equipment alone was among the best in all the servers, if not the best!

Heaven’s Rain charged the enemy’s flanks while leading a group of Knight General-empowered Zephyr Cavalrymen. Following her cue, they executed Ultimate Strength Break + Barrier Break combo that instantly swept a huge swathe of enemies. Of course, Cyan Earth City retaliated with a barrage of arrows and magic that dropped plenty of Zephyr Cavalrymen, Profound Wolf Cavalrymen and more as well. Cyan Earth City was the equal—some might even say the better—of Hero City or Burning City due to their massive player population, and their two main cities were among the absolute best in the world. This wouldn’t be an easy battle.
In the sky, our cute and beautiful Phantasm of Stars was casting vast and devastating spells on the enemies without a break as if her body contained an infinite amount of mana. Not only did her Soul Shocker Bell double her damage dealt, her AoE spells were big enough to engulf dozens of Cyan Earth City players every time. Her DPS was out of the world as a matter of course.
Warscar was swinging his battle axe and rampaging on the frontline as he pleased. His head and chest were covered in arrows, but he paid them no hit and kept charging like no tomorrow. He also regained a lot of HP each time he swung his axe around, meaning that he had to have at least 10% lifesteal or higher. Protective Umbrella’s base was set at the edge of Dark Moon City facing toward the Black Coast, so they had the right to use our instances. This meant that they could upgrade their gear at a speed similar to ours. At the very least, it was nothing like the days where they exchanged shitty equipment for nearly as shitty equipment in the outer lands.
Pu pu pu…
A group of Protective Umbrella archers dropped dead after receiving an arrow rain from the enemy. Hickey looked at me and yelled, "Boss, I don’t think we’ll be able to wipe out the enemy’s 10 million troops at this rate. Even if we do, we’ll be near annihilation ourselves. What do we do?"
I hummed for a moment before replying, "There’s no hurry. I’ll see if I can mobilize more reinforcements to help us!"
"Mn mn. Do your best, boss!"

After I cast the Xuanyuan Art to remove 70% of the enemy’s HP, I brought up my communicator and called Xu Yang. "Brother, how is the battle at Fortress of the Iron Halberd going?"
Xu Yang was breathing heavily. He was obviously in the middle of a fight himself. He said with a chuckle, "Not bad. Hero Alliance, Throne of the Wild and God Breaker seem to be gearing up to take down Sky Ridge Fortress, so the pressure here has been lifted a lot. I think Dominating Heaven Blade and Stranger of Three Lifetimes can actually hold this place with just 5 million men."
I nodded. "That’s great to hear. I want you to rally every Dragonlight Cavalryman, Dragonlight Archer and Holy Mage you have and teleport to White Rose Fortress straight away to help us. Today, we will annihilate all Cyan Earth City players around Swallow Ear Canton and give Breeze and Rain a taste of our true power!"
Xu Yang chuckled. "Sure! A lot of our players have come back online, so we can muster around 85k Dragonlight Cavalrymen, 70k+ Dragonlight Archers and 80k+ Holy Mages. That’s awesome, right?"
I guffawed. "Fuck, that is one hell of a surprise! In that case, tell them to come over right now. Fortress of the Iron Halberd can do without 200k+ players, but we absolutely need your strength here!"
"No problem. The heavy cavalrymen and mounted archers should arrive at your location in 15 minutes. The mages will be arriving half an hour later!"
"Got it. Be quick!"

I resumed fighting after that. My Divine Energy Points had fallen below 100, but they skyrocketed back to 147 a few minutes later. It meant that I had killed at least several thousand players with a single cast of Xuanyuan Art. I had to admit that Xuanyuan Art was as OP as a bug. It was no wonder my greatest enemies tried to remove me from the battlefield whenever possible.[1]
The player count on the map screen continued to fall drastically. Cyan Earth City was bleeding players like crazy, but the China server wasn’t doing much better themselves. At least several hundred large guilds were stopping us from advancing at a reasonable pace. Some had even set up "camp" close to the walls so as to force us to suicide into them. The Dragonlight Cavalrymen might be powerful, but there were only 10k+ of them. It wasn’t enough!
After we tore down three defense lines, we came across a shielders + ballistae formation that was about a kilometer long. It was Cyan Earth City’s true defense line. Standing amid a group of players and smirking, a beautiful archer shouted, "The Chinese army is powerful, right Broken Halberd Sinks Into Sand? Why don’t you come test out the defense line we have prepared especially for you?"
"Yeye the Witch…" I gritted my teeth. "Is she the commander when Breeze and Rain and God of War aren’t around?"
Li Chengfeng took one look at the incredibly long defense line and abruptly halted his charge. He licked his lips and said, "So, we’ve finally drawn out Cyan Beast’s main force. Are they planning to fight us to the death here? It’s not just them either. I see the Top 10 guilds of Cyan Earth City among them…"
Gui Guzi inquired my opinion, "What do we do now, Boss Broken Halberd? Do we charge now, or?"
I shook my head. "Let’s wait a couple of minutes. There is no reason to charge a shielders + ballistae combination head-on especially when our numbers are inferior in the first place. All we will achieve is a terrible death. Cyan Beast is no Olympus or Blood Soul. They are one of the best guilds in the entire world, and both their melee and ranged forces are top-class!"
I raised my arm and shouted, "Ancient Sword Dreaming Souls, halt your attack and wait for an opportunity!"

From far away, Warsky shouted, "Seriously, Lu Chen? The arrow is drawn, but we’re not releasing it? If you’re not going to charge the enemy, I’ll go!"
I retorted just as loudly, "I’ve already told you to calm the fuck down, Warsky! Or do you think Warsky Alliance hasn't lost enough men?"
That snapped Warsky out of his haze and shut him up.
Unfortunately, not everyone listened to my order. My old "acquaintance", Li Le, rode out on a white horse while shouting, "Ancient Sword and Warsky Alliance are pussying out of the battle! If they won’t attack the enemy and rescue our allies, then we will! Flower Room, charge! All cavalrymen, follow me!"
About 30k Flower Room cavalrymen followed right behind him.
"Guys, look, a moron," I said with a deadpan expression.
He Yi responded with a smile, "There’s no stopping someone from being stupid. At least he’ll make for a good example why the rest shouldn’t charge…"
"Sure, if only that example didn’t involve 30,000 Chinese players following him…"

Smirking, Yeye the Witch notched an arrow and declared, "Ballistae will fire at full power, archers will Far Shot their attacks, mages will use God Devil Break, and shielders will activate their Holy Shield Protection. Ready? 3—2—1—fire!"
Countless arrows rained atop Flower Room’s party and killed many of them almost immediately. Bloodcurdling screams filled the air as they rolled across the ground. Those who got close enough to catch the mages’ spells only died a worse death, much less the ballistae bolts. The bolts were so powerful that they barely lost momentum as they pierced our players, going through many players in a row.
Gui Guzi abruptly shifted his shield and sent a steel bolt that happened to sail his way flying. The ballista’s attack range was just too massive!
I too caught a flying bolt with my bare hands before it would pass through me, hurting players behind me. Its tail was shivering, and its body was completely coated in blood. Heaven knows how many Flower Room players had died to this one bolt. Their cavalry charge was suicide from the very beginning. It took an exceptionally stupid person to underestimate Cyan Beast’s power, and Li Le was that person.

The cries of battle faded into nothing in just ten short minutes, and 30k cavalrymen including Li Le himself had perished in battle. This was just the price they had to pay for their foolishness.
When the battle was over, a Cyan Beast cavalryman named "Fang" couldn’t help but raise his axe and taunted loudly, "Is this all the China server has to offer? Hahaha, the way they’re sprawled reminds me of dead dogs! Dead Chinese dogs, hahaha!"
I leaped into the air and stayed there with a dangerous smile on my face. "Patience. You will witness the power of us Chinese dogs very soon!"
It was at this moment Xu Yang and Eighteen Steeds of You and Yun showed up with the Dragonlight Cavalrymen. Xu Yang raised his Omnislash and yelled, "We’re not too late, right, Lu Chen?"
I smiled. "No, you’re right on time! All Famous Generals, leave your parties and form your own to buff our Dragonlight Cavalrymen now! These motherfuckers mustn’t realize that we still have a perfectly untouched group of 100k Dragonlight Cavalrymen[2] after all the big battles we had fought up until this point. Today, Cyan Beast’s defense line will get to taste of their strength! I count at least 1 million Cyan Beast elites here, and not a single one of them are going to escape this battle! Let this be our gift to God of War!"
The Famous Generals did as I said. Very soon, all 100k Dragonlight Cavalrymen and 80k Dragonlight Archers were buffed with the appropriate stratagems and moved to the frontline. Of course, they would be supported by the mage parties, priest parties, bard parties and more. Once the Dragonlight Cavalrymen had punched through the enemy’s shield formation, they would have to fight a battle of attrition against the enemies. That wouldn’t be possible without healing.
I rose my sword high again and shouted, "Now is the time, brothers and sisters! Warsky Alliance, you go too! Let’s take down these 10 million Cyan Earth City players in one go!"
Warsky nodded strongly. "Hell yeah!"

The mounts neighed, and the attack began. Our 100k Dragonlight Cavalrymen spread out in a straight line before charging straight toward the enemy’s formation. Seeing the sudden influx of our iconic cavalrymen, Yeye The Witch frowned as she ordered, "Keep firing! Shielders, guard! Mages and archers, Far Shot!"
This time, their defense didn’t nearly go as well as before. The arrows hit the Dragonlight Cavalry for only 200k damage or so, which was almost nothing considering most of them had over 8 million max HP!
"Mountain Stagger Arrow! Kill the dogs dead!" Fang ordered next.
Hundreds of Dragonlight Cavalrymen had their mount tenacity sniped and landed on two feet, but still they didn’t stop charging until they were finally killed!
Flying at the forefront, I raised my sword and cast Xuanyuan Art!
Whoosh!
A bloody shock wave spread out from me and deleted 70% HP from all non-China or ally units. At the same time, I threw my sword at Fang using Coiling Dragon Revolution!

E/N: Some people may call bullshit on it, but remember the beginning of the war when they said the Northern Alliance was waiting for China to go to sleep, and that’s why Lu Chen and co went to rest earlier? Well, it’s been like 12 hours since then, and it SHOULD be morning in China, so this timing isn’t really bullshit. This is all Dragonlight Cavalrymen who were at work/busy when the war started. There will be no more of such reinforcements, if someone dies they can’t log until the end of the Nation War. ☜
