Arthur and Val started to make their way back to Roran town, as their quest had been finished.

Arthur had also made a connection with Val and had convinced her to keep his secret. With that done, he didn't need to worry about the players learning about him for the time being.

It was something that could not be hid for long and would be revealed eventually, but that was something Arthur was fine with in the future.

'Push comes to shove, I could always use the Veil of Thousand Skins to change it again.' Arthur thought.

This was also what he had thought about using for meeting up with Rain, but hadn't fully decided on yet.

'No use in rushing when he hasn't messaged again. Unless he is the one feeling urgent, I won't have the advantage in negotiation.' Arthur reckoned.

"Say… is there a way to travel faster?" Val asked while walking.

It brought Arthur out of his thoughts, making him answer.

"There are a few of them. You can use animals to travel like horses or use carriages." Arthur answered.

"Oh… that is obvious." Val said finding it awkward that she had asked something this simple.

"Though there is also spells and skills that can allow one to travel at a greater speed. Some even allow one to directly fly." Arthur added much to her surprise.

"Really?!" Val asked in a mix of joy and surprise.

"Indeed. Though of course they'll be hard to obtain." Arthur replied, not revealing that he knew exactly what spells worked here. 'Flying skills and spells were incredibly rare with only 6 players being able to do it without the help of a pet mount.' He recalled.

Flying would add so much freedom to a player that they would be able to overcome many difficulties as well as obtain a great advantage in fights.

For example, a player that could fly would simply become untouchable for most melee fighters. Even if they did have long ranged skills, they might not necessarily be able to hit a flying player.

On the other hand, the flying player would be able to counteract with ease, making their fights simpler and faster.

This basically made most fights against them one sided when it came to PVP.

Even in exploration and NPC quests it was a highly valuable skill. So much so that out of the six players who could freely fly on their own, 5 belonged to the top guilds with only one being an independent player.

Of course, there were also players who used pet mounts to fly but that still limited their actions. Not every player was suited to airborne combat when on a pet, while every player that could fly independently was perfect in it.

'Perhaps I might be able to fly using Brambles too… it might not be fast though but enough to traverse areas.' Arthur thorough. 'Unless… I have another tamed pet.' He reckoned.

There only limitation one had on having pets was one's Will stat, the compatibility between the pet and the player as well as a bit of luck.

All of this made Arthur think about a unique class that could fly.

'No player had obtained it, but there were NPCs that had the class.' Arthur recalled that many players had tried to find a way to obtain it, but everyone had failed. 'Maybe I can find a way to obtain it… not for me but others that will be with me.' He thought.

Having Dragon's Insight, Arthur had a better chance of figuring out how a player could get the class.

'If Val can get it, her lethality will increase drastically…' Arthur thought, his eyes gleaming in anticipating. 'But before that I need to train her to be a lot better. She has the potential but has to learn more.' He knew.

"Oh! I also heard something about there being teleportation being available?" Val suddenly asked. "I heard some of the players talk about it on the forums." She added.

"Yeah there's that too." Arthur responded. "I've heard there are one time use scrolls, as well as city to city teleportation like there is in other games." He stated.

"Ah yeah, the city to city teleportation makes sense. I can't imagine traveling to every city multiple times just because one forgot to do something." Val said shuddering just thinking about the chore.

'That did happen quite a lot…' Arthur internally said.

"Though, has there been any teleportation scrolls for sale?" Val questioned. "There haven't been right?"

"Pretty sure you won't find any this early." Arthur answered.

"Yeah they were talking about having to go to Samson city to obtain one." She revealed.

"Where did you hear that? Forums?" Arthur asked with intrigue.

"No, it was a couple of merchants in the town. They were talking about it the day I entered the town." She spoke making Arthur surprised that she actually managed to pick up on this clue.

'Guess her luck isn't that bad either. Learning about the teleportation scrolls from an NPC conversation is one of the ways of finding the quest to get the first few scrolls.' Arthur pondered on it, wondering what else Val might have picked up on.

As such, he talked to her about various things on the way to the town and she was more than glad to respond. In fact, the more she talked the more open she became.

They also hunted a few beasts that came in their way, with Arthur letting Val take care of most of them. He wished for her to get better and the experience gain was also negligible for him at this point.

By the time they reached Roran Town, Arthur had learned all about her favorite foods, color, what song she hated and which things gave her the ick.

It only made Arthur realize that she was still a 13 year old in the end and would blabber on for hours on end when they found someone to be their friend.

"Woo~ we're back!" Val was happy that her first quest in a party had gone so well.

"Indeed." Arthur nodded his head.

It wasn't uncommon for first time party hunts to go wrong, "Whoa… the sky is so pretty," Val said stopping in her tracks.

The sky had turned orange with staggered waves of clouds extending into the distance. The clouds had shades of blue, Grey and purple that diffused the sunlight hidden behind. 𝗯𝐞𝗱𝗻𝐨𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝗼𝗿𝐠

Far towards the east one could see a sliver of darkness across the horizon, while in the west it was still a bright red.

The contrast between the two was beautiful making one amazed.

"You don't get to see something like this in the real world easily." Val couldn't help but say.

"That's true… you would have to leave the city and go to the outskirts." Arthur nodded.

"Mmhmm… I can't remember the last time I saw such a sunset." Val replied, looking a bit lost.

Arthur didn't know what she was thinking about, but let her have her moment. He could see several more players looking at the sky as well, having a similar expression on their face.

With majority of the population living around cities and urban centers, it had become increasingly rare for people to experience natural scenes like this.

The rise in earthquakes and other disasters had made people afraid of staying far from help.

A few decades ago, there was no lack of people living in all sorts of places and rural areas were quite attractive.

But with the increase in disasters as well as the improvement in agricultural techniques, people didn't need to stay in the rural areas for farming as much. By this time there were automated machines that could take care of farming for the most part.

As such, most people only visited the rural areas for either tourism or to do maintenance of roads and such farms.

There were also factories but these were usually lining the outskirts of the cities and thus weren't too far. Plus the factories needed to be closer to the cities to supply them with goods.

Them collapsing or falling into disrepair would be another disaster for the cities if they had no supply of goods.

And with how large the factories were, they looked like giant mountains surroundings some of the cities. Of course, this varied from factory to factory, but the ultimatum led to the deterioration of the looks of the city.

Plus with the factories being sensitive areas, passing through them required one to pay a toll. Even entering and exiting the urban areas needed that, and as such most people didn't leave them.

As such most of the players were city bound and the scenery in Morpheus Online became another factor in attracting them.

"Come on, we gotta report to the guild." Arthur said, seeing that the number of players was starting to increase now.
