Chapter 100: Chapter 99: Picking Fights Again

Early the next morning, at around five o’clock, the alarm clock started ringing incessantly.

Bella had been rehearsing scenes with Sharon until after midnight, and then went over her lines by herself, accidentally stretching it to almost three o’clock. Now, being awakened by the alarm clock, she hadn’t had even three hours of sleep.

Sharon was already freshened up, and seeing Bella sitting up in bed, she smiled and said, "Bella, hurry and freshen up, we’re running out of time."

"Mm." Bella rubbed her cheeks hard a couple of times before throwing off the covers and getting out of bed for a quick freshen-up.

By the time the two of them were ready to leave, Farah Garner and her people were also almost ready to go.

Neither side was fond of the other, so no one greeted each other and they proceeded directly downstairs to the film set.

The set was only about ten minutes’ walk from the hotel where they were staying, and when they arrived, the other crew members were already busy working.

The originally old-looking courtyard had been completely transformed, with new settings that turned it into a magnificent and dignified palace. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

It was Bella’s first time stepping onto the film set, and she was immediately struck by the scenery in front of her.

Farah Garner walked past her, sneered at her expression, and said, "A country bumpkin who’s never been around."

Bella frowned, thinking this person must be sick, forever trying to find opportunities to make her uncomfortable.

Sharon patted Bella on the back of her hand and said, "Let’s go get makeup and change clothes."

"Mm." Bella nodded, directly ignoring Farah Garner’s provocation beside her, and followed Sharon to the makeup room.

Normally, an actress like Bella, who could land the third female lead, would have her own assistant and makeup artist. The crew typically would arrange a small makeup room for her, even if not solely hers, usually a room for two at most.

But Bella’s situation was quite special.

She had no assistant and no makeup artist—simply a complete newbie with nothing at all. After much consideration, the crew eventually placed her in a large makeup room shared by ten people.

Though Sharon never drove herself nor asked for a better hotel arrangement due to her own reasons, the crew still gave her a two-person private makeup room, sharing it with her good friend, Elaine Vaughn.

Temporarily separated from Sharon, Bella was led into the large makeup room for ten by the crew staff.

In this makeup room, most of those working were newbie actors, with roles that were relatively marginal, with some having more scenes and others possibly having no lines at all.

After Bella entered, a makeup artist called for her, "Are you Ms. Acker, playing the role of Hera? Your spot is here."

The makeup artist looked to be in her forties, and Bella walked up with a smile, saying, "You can just call me Bella."

The makeup artist smiled, going along with her, "Bella, come sit here, I’ll start with your foundation."

"Mm, okay."

Bella cooperatively sat down, and the makeup artist began applying products to her face.

"Bella has great skin, it looks very clear after makeup," the makeup artist chatted casually while applying, "being young really is a privilege."

Bella smiled a bit awkwardly, "Everyone says sleeping well is good for the skin, and I usually sleep quite a lot."

"Adequate sleep certainly helps," the makeup artist said, picking up an eyeliner pencil, "Bella, close your eyes, I’ll do your eyeliner."

Bella closed her eyes, hearing someone else enter the makeup room, she stopped talking.

"Oops, sorry about that," Farah Garner’s voice sounded from behind.
