Chapter 145: Chapter 144: A Different Kind of Guess

Damian said, "Invite me to dinner."

"Huh?" The answer was so straightforward that Bella was momentarily taken aback.

"If you think inviting me to dinner once isn’t enough to thank me, you can invite me two or three times; I don’t mind."

Bella rolled her eyes at him and pouted, "I can invite you to dinner, sure. But after I return to the filming crew tomorrow, I’ll be super busy until my scenes wrap up; I probably won’t have any free time."

"No worries," Damian replied, "You can invite me when you return to Creston."

"Alright," Bella nodded, "Then after my scenes wrap up and I return to Creston, I’ll invite you for dinner. I’ll have to trouble you with the studio matters with Ms. Flynn."

"Sure. It’s cold outside, let’s go in." Damian pinched her cheek and turned to walk towards the car parked across the street.

The assistant immediately opened the car door and stood by.

Bella watched him get into the car, then rubbed her hands and returned to the studio.

Sharon and Elaine had already cleared the table and were waiting for her.

"Ms. Cheney, Ms. Flynn." Bella smiled apologetically at the two, "Feel free to ask whatever you want."

"It’s just young people dating, isn’t it? What’s there to ask?" Elaine laughed heartily, "But Bella, both Sharon and I can see that Mr. Sinclair treats you really well."

"Yes," Sharon, who originally sided more with Bella, had thought differently after spending time with Damian. She held Bella’s hand with a smile and said, "Mr. Sinclair has a distant personality, and given his family background, he doesn’t need to go out of his way to please anyone. But he has been patient talking with me and Ms. Flynn for your sake." 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

"I... I don’t know." Bella’s face reddened with their words, and she couldn’t help but feel a little sweetness in her heart.

Sharon sighed with a smile, "Bella, your happiness is in your own hands. Don’t let a moment of stubbornness make you miss out on someone who can truly make you happy."

"Ms. Cheney, Ms. Flynn, I understand." Bella looked at them, her smile gradually fading, "But the relationship between Damian and me isn’t as simple as it seems, and... we can’t be together."

"Why not?" Elaine blurted out, "We can all see you really like him."

Bella’s face showed sadness, prompting Sharon to ask with concern, "Bella, what’s going on? Can you share it with us? Don’t worry, no matter what happens, we will always be on your side."

"Ms. Cheney, Ms. Flynn..." Bella was silent for a while before speaking softly, "Damian has always had a girl he likes in his heart. I didn’t know before, but now that she’s back from abroad, how can I interfere in someone else’s relationship?"

"Did Damian tell you himself?" Elaine frowned; her straightforward nature meant she didn’t care who you were—if she wasn’t happy, you’d know it.

Bella shook her head, "No, I saw it with my own eyes. His villa perfectly preserves all of that girl’s things, even the traces of her life are carefully kept. If he didn’t really, really like her, how could he do such things? And... and I saw them together, very... very intimate."
