Who is this woman? How can she be treated so specially by Damian Sinclair?
The beautiful nurse was so surprised that her gaze lingered on Bella Acker for quite a while.
She received the message last night, informing her to receive Damian Sinclair at ten o’clock this morning.
Because of this, she got up early today to style and dress herself beautifully, hoping to capture the attention of this handsome man in front of her. But from start to finish, the man never glanced at her, only focusing on the woman beside him.
The beautiful nurse went through all the information about Damian Sinclair in her mind and found nothing about the woman in front of her. Who on earth is she?
Bella Acker felt a bit uncomfortable being stared at, looked herself up and down, and didn’t think anything was amiss.
The beautiful nurse snapped back to reality and suddenly felt a cold gaze sweep over her. Instantly frightened, she dared not think recklessly anymore and just focused on leading the way.
At the door of Dr. Warren’s office, the beautiful nurse lightly knocked on the door and said, "Dr. Warren, Mr. Sinclair is here." Saying this, she pushed open the office door.
"Mr. Sinclair, hello." Dr. Warren immediately greeted him with a big smile and discreetly waved at the nurse leading the way.
The beautiful nurse exited the office, finally letting out a sigh of relief.
Damian Sinclair exchanged a simple greeting with Dr. Warren and then asked him to take Bella Acker for a medical examination.
Dr. Warren was particularly enthusiastic, "Ms. Acker, let’s start with an ultrasound."
"Okay, thank you, doctor." Bella Acker politely thanked him.
"No trouble at all. Ms. Acker, this way please." Dr. Warren led Bella Acker to a partitioned area in the office, gestured for her to lie down on the bed, and then asked, "Ms. Acker, when was your last menstrual period?"
Bella Acker obediently lay down on the bed, unbuttoned her clothes to reveal her belly, and said, "It was on October 4th."
"That means it’s been over two months now. Today we can check the fetal heartbeat." Dr. Warren said as he applied some lubricant to the equipment and placed it on her belly, "It might be a little cold."
Bella Acker shivered from the cold, getting goosebumps all over her body. However, she was so happy and nervous at this moment that she didn’t pay it much attention, "Doctor, is the baby healthy?" When she first found out she was pregnant, she didn’t dare tell Damian Sinclair because of the contract she had signed back then.
If she hadn’t heard about Damian Sinclair’s engagement, she wouldn’t have thought of terminating the pregnancy, and Damian Sinclair wouldn’t have known she was already pregnant.
Dr. Warren saw the fetal shadows on the screen inside her uterus; his smile gradually faded, "Ms. Acker, have you experienced any discomfort during your pregnancy? Like morning sickness, loss of appetite, or drowsiness?"
"No." Bella Acker shook her head and asked somewhat nervously, "Dr. Warren, is the baby unhealthy?"
"I’ll need to check the fetal heartbeat again." Dr. Warren did not give an immediate answer and took Bella Acker for another examination of the fetal heartbeat, but once again found nothing.
Seeing the doctor’s expression, Bella Acker knew it was not good, "Dr. Warren, is the baby not going to make it?"
Dr. Warren glanced at her with some pity and said, "Ms. Acker, there is currently no detectable fetal heartbeat in your belly." At this point, the doctor stopped and did not continue further.
No fetal heartbeat means no heartbeat.
Bella Acker froze, her face instantly turning pale, her eyes welling up with tears.
She had originally thought this baby could finally be born into the world openly, but to her disbelief, it was still not possible.
