Chapter 59: Chapter 58: Who’s Really the Pervert?

Bella Acker’s cheeks and the tips of her ears were completely red. She forced herself to endure the dull pain in her body and withdrew from Damian Sinclair’s embrace.

Suddenly, the warm embrace was gone, and Damian felt a tremor of emptiness at the tip of his heart. Yet, on the surface, he merely raised an eyebrow slightly, saying, "Could I have put the bite marks and saliva here myself?"

As he spoke, his finger tapped on his chest.

Bella glanced at him in disbelief, cautiously leaning her head back to take a look at the spot he pointed at. Sure enough, she saw a suspicious watermark there.

Could it be that she ate something in her dream and bit Damian?

Damian continued, "Do you need me to take off my clothes for Ms. Acker to see how deep the bite marks are?"

"No... no need!" Bella frantically waved her hand, her face filled with embarrassment and frustration. Sitting beside Damian, how could she just fall asleep? And falling asleep was fine, but how could she end up in his arms, even biting his chest? It’s... it’s so stupid!

Overwhelmed with shame and anger, Bella’s small head almost drooped to her chest.

She simply couldn’t face anyone!

Seeing her like this, a fleeting smile flashed in Damian’s eyes. He reached out and pressed her forehead, lifting her head up, "Keeping your head down like this, doesn’t your neck hurt?"

Bella stuttered a couple of times, instinctively raising her hand to protect her forehead, and then softly said, "S-sorry, I didn’t mean to. Y-your clothes, I’ll take them off, wash them, and return them to you."

"Oh? Ms. Acker knows how to do laundry?"

"Your clothes shouldn’t be hand-washed, I’ll send them for dry cleaning," Bella explained, "Once they’re cleaned, I’ll courier them to your house."

"Courier them to my house?" Damian’s expression instantly turned cold, and his tone dropped a couple of degrees, "Ms. Acker is so reluctant to see me again?"

Bella was caught off guard and instinctively explained, "I’m going to shoot a drama soon, and I won’t be back in Creston for a while. So, I can only courier the cleaned clothes to you."

After explaining, she couldn’t help but want to smack herself on the head. Why did she explain that? They’ve already broken up, and not meeting him should be a good thing.

What did Damian mean by that? Could it be that he actually wanted to see her?

Bella raised her head to look at Damian, a bit of confusion giving way to a slightly faster heart rate.

"I’m too busy, no time to receive a courier." After speaking, Damian picked up a nearby document and started reading it again.

What did he mean by that?

Bella pressed her lips tightly together, wanting to ask clearly, but facing his cold and distant expression, the words that came to her mouth wouldn’t come out.

He already has a girlfriend. Why would he want to see her again? It must be... her overthinking, right?

Bella turned her gaze down, hiding her sadness and emptiness on her face. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Damian glanced at her sideways without saying anything.

The car fell silent again, the atmosphere around them stiff and awkward. Bella could only pray to reach the restaurant quickly.

"Boss, we’ve arrived." The car slowly stopped, and the assistant got out first, briskly walking to the back and opening the rear door.

Damian put the document back, saying, "Get off." Then, he bent down and stepped out of the car first.

His words were clearly intended for Bella.

Bella breathed a silent sigh of relief, thinking they had finally reached the restaurant. But after getting out, she found herself facing not a restaurant, but the hospital entrance.

She frowned and said, "Damian, I told you I don’t need to see a doctor."
