Chapter 63: Chapter 62: Crew Dinner

The taxi drove off, and the assistant hurriedly chased it for two more steps.

"Hey, Ms. Acker, listen to me!" Unfortunately, the taxi had already gone far.

The assistant looked at the back of the taxi with a headache. Ms. Acker had left, how was he going to explain to the Boss?

Dragging on wouldn’t solve anything, so the assistant had no choice but to bite the bullet and walk back. As he got into the car, he noticed the driver discreetly giving him a ’good luck’ glance, causing his scalp to tense involuntarily.

"Boss, Ms. Acker just took a taxi and left." The assistant gathered his courage, cautiously facing the strong aura emanating from the back seat, and gingerly asked, "Boss, should we go after her?"

Damian Sinclair looked at the document in his hand without lifting his head, "Back to the hotel."

"Yes." The assistant didn’t dare say more and immediately instructed the driver to head back to the hotel. They wouldn’t be going to The Caspian Restaurant for the group dinner. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

Bella Acker took a taxi to The Caspian Restaurant herself, where the crew had already gone to the private room, leaving no one at the entrance.

A waiter walked up politely, "Miss, may I ask how many people are in your party?"

"We already have people here," Bella Acker said, "A large group arrived just now, which room are they in?"

"Oh, they are in The Magnolia Suite. Please follow me," the waiter replied, making a gesture for her to follow as he led the way.

Bella Acker followed along.

The Caspian Restaurant appeared quite opulent, likely the best restaurant in such a small county.

Bella Acker glanced around casually, noticing plenty of guests coming and going, indicating prosperous business.

"Miss, it’s right here." The waiter led Bella Acker through two turns, finally reaching the entrance of The Magnolia Suite.

"Thank you," Bella Acker expressed her gratitude and waited for the waiter to leave before she reached out to open the door.

The people in the private room, who had been talking, stopped when they heard the door open, all eyes turning towards the entrance.

Bella Acker felt a bit nervous and sheepish. Sharon Cheney saw her, immediately got up, and walked over with a smile, "I’ve saved a seat next to me for you."

Bella Acker smiled gratefully at her, "Thank you, Ms. Cheney."

Sharon glanced behind her and asked, "Where’s President Sinclair?"

Everyone in the private room was most concerned about this question now.

Bella Acker looked at the others waiting for an answer, just about to respond when the producer’s phone rang.

The producer took out his phone, glanced at the caller ID, then picked up the call. Even though the person on the other end couldn’t see, he instinctively put on a fawning smile, "Hello, President Sinclair."

Upon hearing this, everyone in the private room instantly quieted down, and Bella Acker stopped explaining why Damian Sinclair hadn’t joined them.

"Alright, alright. President Sinclair, you take care." The producer hung up his phone and said, "President Sinclair has something urgent that came up, so he won’t be joining us for dinner."

Many people in the private room had been eager to glean more favor from Damian Sinclair during the dinner. Even if they weren’t specially taken care of, even a little resource from his fingertips would mean a great deal to them.

After all their anticipation, Damian Sinclair wasn’t coming, leaving them somewhat disappointed.

Even the two additional investors who came upon hearing Damian Sinclair would be there and the meticulously dressed Vivian Norris bore traces of disappointment on their faces.

However, everyone quickly masked their emotions and began toasting happily.

Bella Acker, being the only newcomer at the table, naturally couldn’t avoid offering toasts, especially since some people deliberately egged her on.
