Chapter 67: Chapter 66: Drunk

Sharon looked at her, indeed more sober but still worried, "Can you manage on your own?"

"Yeah." Bella nodded, "I’m much clearer-headed now. Ms. Cheney, you should go back inside, or you’ll catch a cold."

"Really sober?"

"Still a bit dizzy, but much better." Bella said, "If you’re still worried, I can have a server accompany me." Saying that, she waved to the server standing at the corner.

The server smiled and quickly stepped forward, "Miss, is there anything you need?"

"Could you please take me to the restroom?"

"Sure, this way please."

Bella smiled and turned around to push Sharon back into the private room before she followed the server to the restroom.

"Miss, the restroom is right here. The men’s room is on the left, the women’s room is on the right."

"Got it, thank you." Bella politely thanked and continued inside.

Her head was indeed still very dizzy, but it was much colder outside than inside the private room. Sharon was only wearing a thin underlayer; she couldn’t possibly let her come out and freeze together.

"Ah!" Bella was walking and suddenly slipped, fortunately managing to hold onto the communal counter outside the restroom, preventing her from falling.

"Miss..." The server who hadn’t left was startled too, and stepped forward to support her, "Miss, are you alright?"

"Thank you, I’m fine." Bella shook her head, steadied herself, and walked into the restroom.

The server waited outside for a moment, didn’t hear any sound of falling, and then left.

Bella forced herself into a stall, sat on the toilet, and her head turned into a mush, completely unwilling to move.

She stared at the azure blue floor, tears suddenly spilling from her eyes.

The grievances and sadness in her heart, stimulated by the alcohol, came out entirely.

She lost her child, lost the person she liked, suddenly became utterly alone, but life has to go on, she must strive to live well.

But why wouldn’t Damian let her go? In his heart, did he see her as someone who would use the child to threaten him, someone unscrupulous for personal gain?

He doesn’t like her, fine, but why humiliate her like that?

"Damian, I beg you not to appear again in the future, I really... really... wailing..." Bella bit her lip tightly, tears pouring onto the floor, unable to stop.

"Knock knock!" Suddenly there was a knock on the stall door.

Bella was stunned, dizzily raised her head, reacted a beat slow, and said, "Occupied."

"Knock knock!" The person outside didn’t speak, started knocking again.

Bella frowned, got up from the toilet, staggered a few steps to the door, squinted her drunken eyes, fumbled for a long while, finally unlocked the door, slightly slurred, "I told you it’s occupied! Occupied!"

"Ms. Acker, I heard you crying inside, so I’m a little worried, are you okay?" The girl standing outside the stall asked with some concern.

Bella heard, looked at her, feeling somewhat familiar but couldn’t recall her name, "You are?"

"We’re colleagues in the same crew." The girl smiled, "Ms. Cheney was worried about you, asked me to come over and check, first take you to the room to rest for a while."

"Is...is that okay?" Hearing it was someone Sharon sent, Bella relaxed.

"It’s alright, Ms. Cheney is handling things over there." The girl reached out to support Bella, leading her out of the restroom, "Come on, Ms. Acker, let me help you to the hotel room for a rest."
