Chapter 74: Chapter 73: Dealing with Scum

Damian Sinclair’s voice dropped to an icy cold level, scaring Bella Acker who immediately buried her head in his chest, muttering, "Alright, alright, I’ll try my best not to drink from now on."

"Try not to drink?" Damian reached out, using a bit of force to lift her head up, and squinted at her dangerously.

Bella Acker looked at him too.

Most people would have been scared speechless facing Damian Sinclair’s current expression, but Bonnie Acker wasn’t afraid.

Alcohol makes cowards brave, after experiencing what she did, facing Damian Sinclair now made her feel not frightened but rather reassured.

Looking at her puffed-up cheeks, Damian couldn’t help but reach out and firmly pinch them twice, saying, "No more drinking."

"That’s not possible!" Bella, with puffed-up cheeks, refused without a second thought, "Even you have to entertain clients for business, I need to socialize for work! I have to work well and maintain good relations with my colleagues."

"Was what happened just now your idea of maintaining good relations?"

"That was an accident!" Bella glared, huffed twice, and tucked her head back into his chest, mumbling, "I learned my lesson this time, I’ll be careful in the future. If... if someone tries to bully... bully me again... I’ll... I’ll bite her..." As she spoke, she actually hazily opened her mouth and took a bite.

Now, her whole body was snuggled into Damian Sinclair’s chest, her head pressed hard against the nook of his shoulder and neck, so when she opened her mouth, she bit right on his neck.

"Bella Acker, are you a dog?" A sharp pain came from his neck, and Damian turned his head to avoid her nip, looking somewhat at a loss at this little woman, now drunk again.

"Grrr, grrr..." Bella smacked her lips twice, seemingly oblivious to what Damian had said, snuggling her little head closer to his neck, and comfortably fell asleep in his arms.

Even with tear stains still on her face and fear lingering in her heart, leaning in his arms, knowing he was right there, she could sleep peacefully, without a worry.

Damian looked down at her little face, lifting his hand to gently wipe away the tear resting on her lashes.

"Damian..." whether she was dreaming or her face felt uncomfortable, one couldn’t be sure, but groggily she lifted her hand to grab Damian’s fingers, gripping them tightly and pulling them into her embrace before continuing her slumber.

The driver accidentally caught this scene in the rearview mirror, quickly averting his gaze and focusing on driving, not daring to look back again. Though it seemed the Evil Qi surrounding the boss had unknowingly dissipated. Ms. Acker was indeed special to the boss.

Damian sighed helplessly, taking the coat hanging next to him and wrapping it around her, before picking up his phone to make a call.

The assistant was dealing with follow-up matters in a dining hall when he saw the caller ID on the phone and immediately answered, "Boss."

"Bring the person from the room out," Damian said.

"Alright," the assistant hesitated before asking, "Boss, the person hasn’t sobered up yet; should we take them to the hospital first?"

"No need. Bring them directly to me," Damian replied, then hung up the phone.

With the order given, the assistant dared not act on his own accord, turning to the waiting restaurant security beside him, "Please do me a favor and help escort the person to The Crestwood Hotel."

"Of course, no problem," the manager immediately replied flatteringly, cautiously probing, "Um... Mr. Sinclair, regarding our hotel..."
