Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife-Chapter 84 - 83: Accompanying Her to Buy a Phone
Archer Quinn was wearing a khaki coat today, paired with an off-white sweater and slightly bluish casual suit pants, which gave him a very relaxed yet elegant appearance, making him look very pleasant.
At this moment, he was facing the sunlight, while Bella Acker happened to be backlit.
So from her perspective, Archer Quinn seemed to be covered in a layer of golden sunshine, leaving her momentarily stunned.
"Bella, what’s up?" Archer Quinn took the pearl milk tea and coffee from the waiter, turned his head, and noticed she was daydreaming, so he asked.
"Ah? No... nothing." Bella Acker snapped back to reality, her cheeks turning red in an instant. She was lost in admiring a handsome man, how embarrassing would it be to admit that!
Archer Quinn chuckled softly, considerately not pressing further on the matter, "Your pearl milk tea is warm; drinking it will warm you up."
"Thank you." Bella Acker accepted the milk tea with a bit of embarrassment, not daring to meet Archer Quinn’s gaze.
It’s not about being shy; she just felt her previous reaction was embarrassing.
Archer Quinn smiled, took a sip of his coffee, but found the taste mild and bitter, not wanting another sip.
Bella Acker wasn’t dressed too warmly, but after drinking a couple of sips of hot milk tea, she felt much warmer, "Senior Quinn, thank you."
"Feeling warmer?" Archer Quinn smiled. Earlier, when he received his phone, he accidentally touched her fingers and found them cold, which is why he thought of buying milk tea.
However, to avoid making Bella Acker feel awkward, he also bought a cup of coffee.
"Yes, much warmer." Bella Acker held the milk tea cup and asked, "Senior Quinn, are you always this thoughtful?"
"If I encounter someone annoying, I can be quite aloof." Archer Quinn smiled.
Bella Acker thought for a moment and shook her head, "I can’t imagine you being aloof."
"Haha, you’ll find out later." Archer Quinn pointed ahead, "It seems like we’ve reached the place that sells phones."
"Oh, it’s pretty close."
The two waited for the green light before crossing the street to reach the phone store.
Archer Quinn thought Bella Acker would enter the phone brand’s flagship store directly, but unexpectedly, she turned and walked towards a small stall outside the store.
Archer Quinn was a bit surprised but said nothing and simply followed her there.
Bella Acker crouched in front of the stall, and the boss, seeing a customer, immediately greeted her, "Miss, are you looking to buy a phone or sell one?"
"I want to buy a phone." Bella Acker said as she picked up a blue off-brand phone displayed by the boss on the board and asked, "How much is this phone?"
"Miss, if you’re serious, I’ll sell it to you for five hundred," the boss immediately quoted a price.
Bella Acker shook her head, "Too expensive." she didn’t know much about bargaining, but five hundred already exceeded her budget.
Seeing that she was about to leave, the boss quickly grabbed another silver phone from the side, "Miss, how about this one? It’s cheaper; I can sell it to you for three hundred."
Bella Acker was troubled, "Boss, do you have a phone for around two hundred?"
"Around two hundred?" The boss slightly furrowed his brow, took out an older model smartphone, and handed it over, saying, "Miss, this one is a hundred and seventy; it’s the cheapest I have. If this doesn’t work, then there’s nothing I can do."
