Wedding Night: My Disabled Husband Made Me Cry-Chapter 16: You’re Too Good at Flirting
Vivian Quinn narrowed her eyes. "You know, I get the feeling you’re a real player."
Jett Sterling: "..."
"What makes you say that?"
"You’re way too smooth. And you prepared the sleepwear in the master bedroom’s walk-in closet, didn’t you? You must be an old pro at this!"
Jett Sterling: "..."
"I knew it!" Vivian Quinn’s cheeks puffed out like a pufferfish’s as she turned and went downstairs.
Jett Sterling shook his head helplessly and took the elevator downstairs.
In the dining room, Easton Rivers was already waiting with a folder. "Master Sterling, these require your urgent signature."
Jett Sterling took it and began to review the documents seriously.
As Vivian Quinn ate her breakfast, she watched the "old pro" and finally understood what "a feast for the eyes" meant.
Just looking at Jett Sterling’s face seemed to improve her appetite.
Easton Rivers’s gaze shifted between the two before he couldn’t help but ask, "Miss Quinn, did you sleep well last night?"
"It was fine."
Easton Rivers had an expression that was begging for praise. "Last night was your and Master Sterling’s wedding night. We made a lot of preparations. After you returned, I had all the maids leave so as not to disturb you two."
"Preparations?" Jett Sterling’s eyes narrowed slightly as he turned to look at him. "So, you were the one who prepared the sleepwear in the master bedroom?"
"Yes, Master Sterling. Didn’t you instruct me to prepare the most beautiful sleepwear for Madam?"
Jett Sterling: "..."
Vivian Quinn: "..." ’Alright, so I misunderstood the old pro... oh, no, I mean Jett Sterling.’
Seeing that Master Sterling’s expression was off, Easton Rivers asked in confusion, "Master Sterling, what’s wrong?"
"You can have that sleepwear. Pack it up and take it with you."
"Huh?" Easton Rivers was even more baffled. "But I don’t have a wife..."
"You can find one. You’re clearly in desperate need."
"..."
Vivian Quinn’s eyes curved into a smile. "Master Sterling is right. You’re the real ’old pro’."
Easton Rivers: "..." ’As expected of a married couple. They’re already ganging up on a common enemy!’
Jett Sterling finished signing with a flourish, then picked up his chopsticks to put some food on Vivian Quinn’s plate. "Eat more."
"Thanks."
"What do you want to eat today? I’ll have the kitchen prepare it for you."
"No need. I have something very important to do today."
’Today is Austin Grant and Rachel Quinn’s engagement party. I’ve been waiting for this day for a very long time!’
...
At seven in the evening, in the eighth-floor banquet hall of The Crystalia Palace, an incredibly grand engagement party was underway.
With a microphone in one hand and Rachel Quinn’s hand in the other, Austin Grant began to speak with deep affection. "Rachel, we grew up together, and today, I can finally hold your hand and formally declare my love for you."
"From this day forward, you are my fiancée. I will love you with all my heart. Whenever you’re ready to get married, I’ll give you the grandest of weddings, and we’ll love each other for a lifetime."
Tears of emotion welled up in Rachel Quinn’s eyes as she nodded forcefully. "Yes, Austin. I will love you with all my heart, too."
Thunderous applause erupted from the crowd, with many guests moved by their love story.
Just then, someone in the crowd shouted, "What is that!"
At the entrance, two men were seen carrying a funeral wreath inside.
"AHH!" The color drained from Rachel Quinn’s face. "Austin, what’s going on?"
"Don’t be afraid." Austin Grant strode off the stage and roared, "How audacious! Who gave you the nerve to cause trouble at my engagement party!"
"It... it was someone who paid us to deliver it to you! It has nothing to do with us!"
The two men dropped the wreath and bolted.
Rachel Quinn looked closely and saw a funeral couplet on the wreath. It read: "A bitch for a bastard, they’re two of a kind; a slut and a scumbag, forever entwined."
Rachel Quinn was so furious she almost fainted. "Austin, this must be Vivian’s doing..."
Austin Grant’s face was as black as the bottom of a pot. "Vivian. Quinn!"
"Looking for me?" Vivian Quinn walked in from the entrance, chuckling lightly. "It looks like Master Grant really likes the gift I sent."
"Vivian Quinn, are you insane?" Austin Grant demanded. "Take your damn wreath and get out!"
"I’m here to give you my blessings. Look at the well-wishes I wrote for you—they even rhyme. What, you don’t like them?"
"..." Austin Grant warned through gritted teeth, "Vivian Quinn, if you apologize and get the hell out now, you can still walk away from this."
"You’re right about one thing." Vivian Quinn raised an eyebrow. "If you two apologize to me right now, maybe I’ll consider letting you die a prettier death."
"You’re disgusting, Vivian Quinn!" Nina King raised her voice. "You’re clearly the one who hooked up with another man and cheated on Master Grant, yet you have the nerve to come here and make a scene?"
"Exactly! Look at her ugly face. How could she ever be worthy of Master Grant?"
"Sending a funeral wreath to someone’s engagement party... that’s utterly depraved."
"Well, she was raised in the countryside. Rotten to the core. She has no manners at all, and she even sleeps around. The Quinn Family is so unlucky to have produced someone like her."
Nina King jeered even more brazenly, "Vivian Quinn, where’s that cripple you hooked up with? Don’t tell me you got dumped already? I knew it. Even a cripple wouldn’t want you!"
Just as Vivian Quinn was about to speak, a deep, cold voice suddenly came from the entrance. "Who said I don’t want her?"
Everyone turned toward the voice and saw a young man in a wheelchair entering from outside.
Vivian Quinn froze, staring at the man coming toward her.
Though he was in a wheelchair, his aura was immensely powerful, as if he had an army of thousands at his back.
His looks were so outstanding that he instantly outshone everyone else, becoming the center of attention. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Jett Sterling reached Vivian Quinn’s side and took her hand.
Vivian Quinn snapped back to reality and asked in a hushed voice, "What are you doing here?"
"How could I let you face a situation like this alone?" the man asked in return.
A whirlwind of emotions churned inside Vivian Quinn.
The truth was, she had come to fight this battle alone. She never expected Jett Sterling to come and stand with her.
It would be a lie to say she wasn’t moved. After all, by stepping forward in a place like this, he was making himself a public target.
Sure enough, in the next second, Rachel Quinn walked over. "Vivian, is he the reason you betrayed Austin?"
"So that’s the man Vivian Quinn was sleeping around with? He really is a cripple in a wheelchair!"
"She has some heavy tastes."
"Am I the only one who thinks this man is even more handsome than Austin Grant...?"
Austin Grant’s expression darkened. The man was indeed better looking than him; the moment he entered, he had stunned the entire room.
’Even if he’s a cripple, this still makes me incredibly uncomfortable!’
Austin Grant raised his voice and demanded, "Vivian Quinn, were the hickeys on your body that day from him?!"
With that one sentence, Vivian Quinn was once again thrown into the heart of the storm. Many people in the crowd began to point at her and whisper among themselves.
Vivian Quinn didn’t answer Austin Grant. Instead, she sat down on Jett Sterling’s lap, wrapped her arms around his neck, and pressed her lips directly against his...
