What Do You Mean I Have To Comprehend Dao As A Mortal God?-Chapter 80: The Bunny Girl Exodus

Three days passed relatively uneventfully as the rabbit girls packed up their things to prepare to move out.

In those three days, I did a quick check of the ledge that Leena had found and sure enough, I could see the mass of shadows moving underneath.

At this height, I could also see some shimmering which I believe belonged to crystals just like the other Anomaly I had drained from.

And I could also see that there was an entire army of Anomalies down here... Way more than any group of Anomalies I’ve seen before.

Unless we had something that could wipe out an entire army of Anomalies at once, we’re going to need an army of our own as well.

Thankfully, we do have something of the former in the shape of my Guardians and myself of course.

In the far distance of the chasm, I also spotted another tunnel that had a blue glow around it which meant there was another vein of Mana Crystals there.

So far, I’ve yet to see a Commander Class Anomaly that would have commanded those Anomalies to retreat, so I suspect that it should be somewhere there.

The place was too dark to see clearly and I didn’t want to risk alerting the shadowy mass of our presence so we prioritised escorting the bunny girls out first.

But I also can’t see the reason why they would command them to retreat either since it didn’t make sense why they would want to preserve those Anomalies when they still had so many in reserve.

Additionally, recalling them would have revealed their presence to us which would have been more beneficial to keep that information secret instead.

In other words, I cannot see why the Anomaly that has command over these Anomalies would do what it did.

Was it part of a bigger plan? Or was it because of something else?

Or could it be that it’s just not that smart?

The problem is that I don’t know what the real reason is so it could be anything.

With that in mind, I would say that we should prepare for the worst.

Thus, when the rabbit girls were ready to move, I made sure to let everyone know to be prepared for anything.

There was just one thing I found curious...

"Where’s all the big machines that I saw you guys wrapping up yesterday?" I asked.

Just yesterday, I remember them moving the larger machines that they had split into individual parts up to the top of the chasm to prepare them to be moved.

Yet this morning, all of them had gone missing and the only things the bunny girls seemed to be carrying were their own personal belongings.

For some reason, the bunny girl sisters looked nervous when I asked that question.

Inies quickly spoke up from the side, "We... Broke them down into even smaller parts and divided them amongst everyone else."

Oh really? That’s pretty cool. Considering the fact that most of the refugees here were only carrying simple backpacks and what looked like duffel bags, those machines must really be well designed to be broken down to such small sizes.

After making sure that everyone was ready, I started to lead the way out of the colony with Jia Lian and Maylene by my side.

The rest of my Guardians were spread out amongst the convoy as we started to move out of the chasm and into the tunnels.

Looking behind me, I found myself leading an entire train of bunny girls and I felt like the pied piper except I had no magical pipe to play.

We marched through the tunnels and I kept an eye out for Anomalies that might have set up an ambush since this would be the best time to take out all of us.

Yet, the entire route was clear of any enemies and I felt stupid worrying about it as the cavern that contained the portal came into view. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

As I peeked around the corner however, I found the biggest Anomaly that I had seen so far in this rift standing guard in front of it.

Just like the previous one, this had an armour made out of crystals but I couldn’t tell what kind of creature it might have been before it was mutated into an Anomaly.

I would even liken this to a rock golem that had crystals protruding out from it instead.

I grimaced and turned to the people behind me that were giving me worried looks.

We had an entire long train of people behind us right now and I have a feeling if I were to fight this Anomaly, the sounds of our combat might draw in more Anomalies that could trap us here.

"Don’t suppose anyone has any ideas?" I asked the girls near me.

Jia Lian furrowed her brows in thought, "I think... If the two of us worked together, we could hold it off and defeat it while the bunnies made a run for the portal... My shield should be able to force it towards the corner of the cavern."

I raised an eyebrow, "You really think we can take it down while protecting the refugees?"

The swordswoman gave me a wry smile, "It’s not like we have another way to the portal either..."

Maylene turned to me, "I... I can help too! I should be able to distract it and lure it away from the portal before the both of you engage it! How about that?"

Jia Lian and I shared a look.

If I were to think about it... We already know that Maylene’s speed is something that we could not match so unless this Anomaly can move faster or at the very least, at the same speed as her, I don’t think it can catch her.

Seeing that I didn’t really have a better idea unless I was willing to try that reality manipulation skill again and risk being helpless for the rest of the day... I guess we’ll just go with what has been suggested.

I nodded at Maylene, "We’ll depend on you then... We have to move quickly and take it out before the fight catches the attention of other Anomalies."

The blonde haired bunny girl gave me a salute, "Leave it to me!"

She peeked around the corner again and I did the same, seeing the giant Anomaly still standing at the exact same place, unmoving.

Maylene sucked in a breath before dashing into the cavern, the bunny girl rushing towards the other side while running along the walls.

The Anomaly reacted immediately as it turned to try and follow Maylene, its movements slow and sluggish, matching its size.

Maylene stopped at the far end of the cavern and shouted at the golem Anomaly, "Come and get me!! You’re too slow!!"

As though taking that as a challenge, the Anomaly suddenly lowered itself before it leapt forward with explosive speed, launching itself towards Maylene.

Thankfully, Maylene could react in time and dashed out of the way, letting the giant Anomaly crash into the wall behind her instead.

"Go!!" I shouted, prompting the bunny girls behind me to start out in a run towards the portal.

On the other hand, Jia Lian and I rushed towards the Anomaly that was still recovering from crashing into the wall, the giant creature pulling itself out from the hole it had made in the wall.

I leapt towards it and did a flying kick while using Kris’s gravity manipulation to redirect my gravity towards it, my foot slamming into its back with enough force to create a shockwave.

The Anomaly shook slightly from the impact and I kicked off of it to see that aside from several cracked crystals, I barely did any damage to it.

Jia Lian also tried slashing at its back with her projected sword but instead of slicing through, the sword bounced off its back as well, also only cracking a few crystals.

It very slowly tried to turn back towards us but I didn’t want it to try and leap towards the portal so I flanked it and gave it another kick at its shin, forcing it to stop and face the side where I was.

Its fist was raised up into the air and I leapt backwards before it could slam its giant fist down at where I had been earlier.

The ground shook from the impact and I saw several of the bunny girls fall over from the earthquake caused by its punch.

Thankfully, their fellows who were closest to them quickly hauled them back to their feet and they continued running.

Looking at this Anomaly, it feels like it has dumped all its stats into strength and none into agility.

Neither Jia Lian nor myself could do much damage to the Anomaly... But we should be able to avoid its attacks quite easily.

The only problem was that we need to kill this thing as fast as possible before it attracts other Anomalies here...

But how do we kill something so big and hardy quickly?

Do I really need to use my reality manipulation after all?

This might be a problem...
