What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?-Chapter 837: The Thieves’ Punishment
I got quite a few good things from the two of them, particularly a contact that we could call up to get that dog licence.
Or... More specifically... It’s called the ’Bio-Weapon license’.
Apparently there’re people out there who basically tame alien creatures to be used for... Reasons...
I say that because there’s really just a multitude of reasons people get these creatures for like using them as pets, as bodyguards, as war machines and... Well... For sex...
Yeah... I didn’t want to know about that either but... When I went to the GalaNet just to see what kind of creatures fall under this license... 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
One of them was an alien creature that had the shape of a female human but with a grey skin colour and had what looked like boobs on their chest. It lacked facial features aside from a pair of plump, red lips and tendril-like hair. The reason why it was classified as a bio-weapon was the fact that it was impervious to small arms fire and had sharp claws that could rip through steel.
And yes... It has a vagina... And it can be bred...
Seeing a creature like that... I guess I can understand why people would want to get these creatures for sex.
...
...
I kind of want one now...
Ahem... Anyway... To get that license, you would either need to be really influential and have ties with the military... Or if you do stuff for the military that requires you to have that license.
For us, the path we’re going to get the license is the latter.
As the biggest manufacturer of Exo-Knights, the company obviously has ties with the military and gets military contracts.
While they cannot use that influence to help me get a personal license for that, Rosalia and Freiderike do have contacts within the military that can arrange work for me that would lead to me obtaining the license.
The best part would be that the license fees would be footed by the military as it’s also quite pricey to get one on its own.
I’m not sure what kind of jobs they would have us do but they assured me that it won’t be something that we aren’t able to do.
In fact, after seeing how we have handled the two incidents so far, they were quite confident that we would be able to pass with flying colours.
Then they also added that the fact my crew had three Psionics basically ensured there was no job that was too big for us anyway.
Hard for me to argue with that...
It was decided that we would engage with the military contact for the job after the Verlandi was fixed which should take about a week or two.
And while we are out, we would also take the opportunity to deliver the turtle that we were currently hiding inside our ship as well.
Speaking of that turtle... It seems like it just eats meat and it’s fine with the diet I was giving it for now so we have no problems keeping it.
Renata was in charge of watching over it, though I find her apparent interest in it a little concerning but I decided to just let her do what she wants. Especially since she’s the only one who would not be hurt if the turtle actually decides to attack her.
There was a slight change to our schedules after that day as well.
Ries was now fully committed to working on repairing the Verlandi and the thieves were sent to work under her, though I wonder how they would even help anyway.
The rest of my girls were still working as test pilots and doing test flights in the Exo-Knights for the company.
For me... I got put into a different role as Rosalia’s and Freiderike’s personal tester.
Since it was especially rare for them to get a Psionic as a test pilot, they were maximising my group’s presence as much as they could.
Obviously, they could not reveal to everyone else that I was a Psionic so they made me their personal tester under the pretense of paying me back for the damage my ship had gone through by showing me preferential treatment.
I didn’t really have complaints about the arrangement since this actually helped them with building our own Exo-Knights that they promised to make for us anyway.
Of course, the fact that I would then report to them after testing was done which would then end up with all three of us in their lab without a shred of cloth between us was also a plus too.
Three days after the theft of my ship, I found myself with nothing to do that day since the two researchers were working on another project that day.
That’s why I decided to go check up on Ries and the condition of my Verlandi as well.
It was a short walk to the maintenance hangar and I found my ship easily enough, seeing that there was a large number of people surrounding it.
Unlike before when I had allowed people to board it, they were only able to look at it from a distance away, both due to the fact that we were fixing it and also because of the theft.
As I passed a few of the onlookers one of them let out a sigh, "They steal the ship and then get to be up close and personal with it while we have to stay this far from it? It’s unfair, I say..."
The other person chuckled, "I wouldn’t say that... They aren’t exactly having a good time right now after all..."
"Ha! If that’s all you needed to endure just to be close to an original Verlandi, I’d take their place any day!"
I wondered what they were talking about as I moved past the security who let me in without so much as a word, everyone here already aware of who I was at this point.
As I approached my ship I heard some groans of pain coming from the other side of it, prompting me to circle around it to check out what was making that noise.
When I did so, a rather bizarre sight greeted me.
There, arranged in a single line, were the thieves that Ries was overseeing, all in a half squat position while holding a box in their hands.
Err... What?
"Boss! You’re here!" Ries’s voice came from the ramp.
I turned to see my Maochatte leaping off the ramp to pounce towards me, giving me just enough time to turn towards her to catch her out of the air.
"Nyaaa~ Bossss~" She purred, rubbing her face against my chest.
I patted her on the head before turning to look at the line of thieves that were still in their half crouch position.
"What are they doing?"
Ries peeked out from between my boobs, "Hmm? They’re helping me hold the materials of course. If they drop it, then I whip them~"
I blinked at her, wondering if I misheard her.
"What’s... What’s the point of them doing that?"
"Hmm? To suffer of course~ What else?"
Ok... Fair enough... That’s the whole point of this I guess... But...
"I mean... Aren’t they here to help you fix the ship? I don’t think they’re helping much if they’re just out here doing this..."
"Ehehe~ You don’t need to worry, Boss! I do put them to work as well, like helping me clean and do simple work that I know they can’t screw up~ Like right now!"
She hopped away from me to turn towards them, "Alright! All of you can stop now~"
The line of people quickly, but gently, lowered the boxes onto the ground before collapsing on their haunches, all of them panting from the effort of needing to maintain that position for who knows how long.
Ries gave them a few precious moments to rest before huffing at them, "Alright. I want all of you to start cleaning the exterior of the ship! Every single inch of it has to be squeaky clean without a speck of dust! If any of you even puts a scratch on it, I will be smashing your face into the floor! You got that?!"
There were a few groans and I thought they might even protest but all of them seemed surprisingly compliant as they started moving to obey.
Right as I was wondering how Ries managed to get them to be so obedient, a rather familiar voice came from behind me.
"Mi... Miss Tera?"
I turned to see Theresa standing there, looking nervous with her tail flicking from side to side behind her.
"Oh, hello Theresa. Is there something wrong?"
She peeked at the group of people trudging off to start cleaning my ship, her boyfriend being one of them, before she turned back to me.
"Could I... Talk to you in private for a moment?"
I shared a look with Ries and she shrugged at me to go ahead.
I nodded at the dragon girl before gesturing towards the Verlandi, "Sure... Let’s go to my ship then."
"Thank you."
Hmm... I wonder what’s this about?
