Chapter 1029: Chapter 394: Inverting Black and White (Part 2)

"I don’t believe the Time Tunnel can truly change the past and future; after all, it’s just a legend," the old villain said.

"We still don’t know if the Time Tunnel has the ability to alter the past and future because not only did we fail, but we also got trapped in the Time Passage, like zombies, for thousands of years," Belona said somewhat sadly.

"What exactly are you trying to say?" the old villain asked impatiently.

"It was Li Xiu who broke the Time Tunnel’s restrictions, allowing us to escape," Belona said.

"Even you all were trapped in the Time Tunnel. What makes him capable of breaking its restrictions?" The old villain clearly didn’t believe Belona’s words.

"That’s why I say he can defeat Li Boyang," Belona said, looking towards the Celestial Sea Palace. "Don’t underestimate him because he’s not strong enough now; he has infinite potential. In that Time Tunnel, we saw his past and that kind of possibility."

"What kind of possibility?" the old villain asked, frowning.

"He and Li Boyang both possess powers that don’t belong to this world," Belona said.

"Are my old eyes so failing that I can’t see he’s from our world?" the old villain snorted coldly.

"I didn’t say he’s not from our world, just that he has powers not belonging to this world," Belona shook her head.

"Even if Li Boyang gave him another world’s power, do you think he can use that to defeat Li Boyang?" the old villain asked.

"No, his power doesn’t belong to this world, nor to Li Boyang. I don’t know where that power comes from, but I believe he has a chance to defeat Li Boyang," Belona said.

"It’s your business to believe in him, but I won’t place the fate of myself and the world on a human, nor entrust hope to such intangible things," the old villain said stubbornly.

BANG!

Li Xiu’s body developed another bloody hole; despite trying many methods, he couldn’t break Bu’Er’s strange power.

Bu’Er looked at Li Xiu coldly, a gun in her hand pointed at her own head, the barrel pressed against her temple. With just a pull of her trigger finger, Li Xiu’s head would blossom open.

Li Xiu was covered in wounds; even without them, he wouldn’t have had time to stop Bu’Er.

"It seems he will falter here. Your judgment is as poor as ever," the old villain said.

"Are you sure you want to fire that shot?" Li Xiu shook off the blood on his hand, looking at Bu’Er.

Bu’Er didn’t say a word and directly pulled the trigger.

BANG!

The gunshot made Belona’s heart skip a beat. She thought the shot wouldn’t fire, but it did.

Belona quickly looked at Li Xiu, not seeing a scene of his brains splattering, nor even a shadow of Li Xiu.

The old villain was also taken aback, his eyes searching within the Celestial Sea Palace but failing to find Li Xiu’s figure.

The bullet from the shot Bu’Er fired at her own head didn’t manage to eject from the barrel.

Bu’Er seemed to realize something, swiftly teleporting, and immediately using Angel’s Wings to change positions continuously upon reappearing.

But Bu’Er never saw Li Xiu, and her heart sank at once.

BANG!

While Bu’Er was still moving swiftly, she suddenly heard a gunshot and felt her forehead hit hard, pupils contracting, her head tilting back uncontrollably, body falling back, tracing a distance in the air before stabilizing her figure.

Li Xiu appeared in front of Bu’Er, sticking closely like a leech, a smoking gun barrel pressed against Bu’Er’s chest.

Rat-a-tat! Rat-a-tat!

In the Gatling mode, the Forbidden Spear fired frantically at Bu’Er’s chest, light bullets bombarding her relentlessly. Under the continuous explosions, Bu’Er was blasted into the sea, creating waves dozens of feet high.

The old villain’s face turned somewhat displeased, even he couldn’t discern how Li Xiu managed to hide his figure to approach Bu’Er.

Li Xiu hovered in mid-air, reaching out with a hand, the injured Dragon Vein Spirit surged out from the sea, coming to Li Xiu.

The Forbidden Spear shot repeatedly at the Dragon Vein Spirit’s wound, the healing Undying Bullets quickly mending the injuries.

Li Xiu turned the gun on himself, quickly healing his earlier wounds.

He didn’t dive into the sea; in fact, he never intended to kill Bu’Er; otherwise, he wouldn’t have used the non-lethal Forbidden Bullets just now.

"Old villain, you see it now, don’t you? He has infinite potential," Belona said.

"Pity, he has already missed his only chance to win," the old villain snorted coldly.

"Do you truly wish to continue like this?" Belona asked, somewhat angrily.

"I just don’t want to gamble the entire world, at least now I haven’t seen the possibility of winning the bet," the old villain said.

Water splashed everywhere as Bu’Er, blasted into the sea by Li Xiu, surged out of the water once again, unscathed, not even her clothes showing a trace of damage. Her once icy gaze had turned even colder.

"Bu’Er, I want to talk to you," Li Xiu sighed.

This was a duel that was impossible to win, not because he couldn’t defeat Bu’Er, but because he didn’t really want to hurt her.
