Chapter 895: Chapter 349: Treasures Galore (Part 3)

After a short while, the old geezer left, avoiding suspicion from others.

Once the old geezer departed, two more groups of people arrived, but the items they brought were of no interest to Li Xiu.

Jiuxiao Yun lay on the bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep.

These days, he’s been observing closely, and he’s now certain that the Divine Position Gemstone is with Li Xiu.

Stealing the Divine Position Gemstone from Li Xiu would be difficult, yet not impossible; Jiuxiao Yun was confident enough to give it a try, but he only had one shot.

The problem is, Jiuxiao Yun still hasn’t discovered where Li Xiu has placed his Blood Seal Stone.

He had to steal both things together; otherwise, even if he stole the Divine Position Gemstone, as long as the Blood Seal Stone remained with Li Xiu, he wouldn’t dare keep the gemstone without fear of repercussions—unless he wanted to die.

"Where on earth did Li Xiu hide my Blood Seal Stone? I’ve already sneaked a peek into his private vault, and although there are several Blood Seal Stones, mine conspicuously wasn’t among them. Clearly, he anticipated that I’d eventually come to steal the Blood Seal Stone, and deliberately hid mine separately. But where on earth is it hidden?" Jiuxiao Yun searched almost every possible place he could think of, but still couldn’t find his Blood Seal Stone.

"Could my earlier judgment have been mistaken? Has he been carrying my Blood Seal Stone with him all along? Looks like I’ll have to risk examining him directly," Jiuxiao Yun mused to himself. "When stealing from others, it would have been easy to ask Eighth Uncle for a bit of help in figuring it out, given my family’s ties with the old man and Eighth Uncle. But, unfortunately, Eighth Uncle and Li Xiu are sworn brothers, so I’m on my own here."

Jiuxiao Yun racked his brain, arriving at only one approach to confirm whether his Blood Seal Stone was with Li Xiu.

Under the cover of night, Jiuxiao Yun, dressed in black, leaned against the wall of Li Xiu’s room, waiting through most of the night until he was certain that Li Xiu was fast asleep, finally letting a sly smile creep over his face.

"Li Xiu, although we’re on pretty good terms, I’m naturally a free spirit who can’t let my life be under your control. If you hadn’t tried to keep me under your thumb, we wouldn’t be in this predicament." Jiuxiao Yun stepped back two paces, gazing at the Jade Wall, a strange light gleaming in his eyes.

The glow stained his eyes a peculiar shade of purple, subtle yet vibrant, akin to two gleaming jade beads.

His gaze focused intently on the wall, which, in his view, began to turn transparent. Soon, he could clearly see everything inside the room, the Jade Wall turning into a sheet of transparent glass before his eyes.

"No matter how well you hide it, you can’t escape my X-ray Vision," Jiuxiao Yun thought smugly, his eyes scanning the room’s contents.

Li Xiu lay asleep on the bed, with a stroller beside it in which Zai Zai and Xiao Shuang were sleeping.

During the days Li Xiu stayed at home, Zai Zai would stay with him, rather than constantly following Li Ming’Er.

Fixating on the sleeping Li Xiu, the purple light in Jiuxiao Yun’s eyes became even more luminous, and the quilt covering Li Xiu gradually became transparent in his vision.

Though he possessed X-ray vision, Jiuxiao Yun dared not openly stare at Li Xiu, fearing discovery; he could only sneak glimpses like this.

After a quick glance, he immediately averted his eyes, mentally cursing: "This bastard doesn’t even wear pajamas to bed, what a show-off!"

His gaze shifted to the clothes hanging on the rack at the head of the bed, which became transparent under Jiuxiao Yun’s scrutiny.

Soon, excitement stirred within Jiuxiao Yun as he spied gemstones in the pockets of those clothes, including one encased in a Golden Box, unmistakably the fabled Divine Position Gemstone.

"This guy is really gutsy, leaving the Divine Position Gemstone just lying around. Aren’t you worried someone might steal it while you’re asleep?" Jiuxiao Yun felt an urge to sneak in and steal the Divine Position Gemstone immediately.

However, he managed to suppress his impulse, continuing his search to locate his Blood Seal Stone.

"Odd, there’s really no Blood Seal Stone? How puzzling, where could it be if it’s not on him?" Jiuxiao Yun endured the sharp pains in his eyes, persistently scrutinizing areas in the room where things might be hidden.

Until his eyes began to tear up with blood, Jiuxiao Yun reluctantly ceased using his X-ray Vision; if he persisted, he feared he’d be blinded.

"Bastard, where exactly did you hide my Blood Seal Stone? With the valuable Divine Position Gemstone just stashed in your clothes pocket, why can’t I find my Blood Seal Stone?" Jiuxiao Yun was so frustrated he could almost cough up blood.

He was nearly blind, yet couldn’t locate it—an immense blow for a professional like him.

As a seasoned Divine Thief, he couldn’t even find his own stolen item.

Despite not finding it, Jiuxiao Yun was reluctant to leave, pondering while he took a break: "Li Xiu isn’t ordinary, and his hiding place certainly isn’t either. It has to be somewhere beyond normal imagination..."

Inspired by this thought, Jiuxiao Yun’s eyes suddenly brightened: "Could it possibly be on Zai Zai or Xiao Shuang?"

Jiuxiao Yun recalled a story his grandfather once told him about a wealthy man who purchased an incredibly precious gemstone. Upon learning this, his grandfather decided to steal it.

He turned the rich man’s castle upside down, even cracking the vault and safe, yet couldn’t find the gemstone.

Eventually, Jiuxiao Yun’s grandfather posed as a servant, residing within the castle for several days, and finally discovered the gemstone.

To his surprise, the priceless gemstone was embedded in a dog collar worn around the rich man’s pet dog’s neck.

The dog roamed freely every day; who would have thought the rich man would secure such a precious gemstone on the dog’s neck.

Upon reaching this conclusion, Jiuxiao Yun, despite the pain in his eyes, employed his X-ray Vision once more, this time turning his gaze directly onto Xiao Shuang in the stroller.

Xiao Shuang bore nothing, not even a collar or similar items; with a mere glance, Jiuxiao Yun shifted his attention to Zai Zai—his final hope.
