When Love is a Question Mark-Chapter 220: The Painting’s Impact
A strange feeling stirred deep in his chest, tugging at something he couldn’t quite name. His breath caught, and before he realized it, his eyes grew misty. A single tear slipped down his cheek, startling him back to reality.
"Sam?" Zinnia’s voice was soft, filled with gentle concern.
He blinked rapidly, brushing the tear away as if nothing had happened. "It’s... incredible," he said, his voice low.
She smiled faintly, turning her attention back to the painting. "It’s the piece that changed everything for me," she murmured. "I didn’t think it would resonate with others the way it has."
Samuel’s gaze shifted to her, the vulnerability in her voice pulling at him. "It’s not just art, Zia. It’s a story. A feeling. People see themselves in it, and that’s what makes it extraordinary."
Her eyes softened as she looked at him, his words touching her more than he probably realized. "Thank you," she said quietly.
After a moment, she turned away from the painting and gently tugged on his sleeve. "Come on. There’s more to see. We can’t spend all day here."
Samuel nodded, though his eyes lingered on the painting for a moment longer. As they walked away, he glanced back, feeling as though he was leaving behind a part of himself he hadn’t known existed.
They continued through the museum, Zinnia pointing out pieces she admired or found interesting. But Samuel remained unusually quiet, his thoughts still anchored to the emotions Beautifully Tragic had stirred within him.
Zinnia noticed his introspection but chose not to comment, instead slipping her hand into his as they walked.
"I hope you’re ready for the next stop," she said lightly, trying to lift the mood. "It’s a place I think you’ll love."
Samuel looked down at her, his expression softening as he squeezed her hand gently. "Lead the way," he said, his voice steadier now.
Zinnia smiled, silently grateful for the moments they were beginning to share. While the museum had brought back memories for her, she couldn’t help but feel that they were creating something new—together.

Timmy stood at the beach resort’s front desk, his posture straight and professional as he negotiated with the staff. The sound of the ocean waves crashing in the distance mingled with the soft chatter of guests walking by, adding to the serene atmosphere of the place. He was focused on finalizing the details for Samuel and Zinnia’s upcoming beach wedding.
"Thank you for your patience," Timmy said, his voice calm and controlled. He glanced down at the contract, making sure all the important points were covered. "We’d like to secure the best possible view for the ceremony, preferably around sunset. And the reception should be on the patio with the ocean backdrop."
The staff member, a young woman with a pleasant smile, nodded, tapping a few things into her tablet. "Of course. We can arrange for that. The sunset is perfect for wedding photos, and we have several catering options that would complement the beachside theme. Would you like to go over the menu?" 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Timmy nodded, briefly reviewing the options. "Yes, we’ll need a mix of local dishes and international cuisine for the reception. Something that’s both elegant and relaxed, perfect for the setting."
Timmy handed her the list of menus that Samuel had given him.
As they finalized the menu choices, Timmy couldn’t help but admire the view through the large windows of the resort’s lobby. The ocean sparkled under the sun, the sand stretching endlessly toward the horizon. The thought of Zinnia and Samuel exchanging vows here filled him with quiet anticipation. He wanted everything to be perfect for them.
Once everything was settled, Timmy shook hands with the staff member and thanked her for her help. He turned to leave, feeling satisfied with the day’s progress. But as he stepped outside the resort’s entrance, he froze in surprise.
There, just a few steps away, stood Lily. She was wearing a casual sundress, her hair loosely tied back in a ponytail, looking every bit as surprised to see him as he was to see her.
Timmy blinked, certain he had to be mistaken. "Lily?"
Lily’s wide eyes mirrored his disbelief. "Timmy? What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice a mix of confusion and curiosity.
Timmy glanced around, trying to process the situation. He had told Lily he was traveling abroad for his boss’s wedding, but he had never expected to run into her here. "I... I didn’t think you’d be here. What brings you to this side of the world?"
Lily raised an eyebrow, her confusion turning into a playful smile. "That’s what I was going to ask you! You told me you were coming for a wedding, but I didn’t think you meant this wedding." She crossed her arms, a smirk playing on her lips. "You’ve got some explaining to do, Timmy."
Timmy, still processing the coincidence of it all, felt a brief surge of awkwardness. He cleared his throat, glancing around nervously before answering. "Well, uh, yeah, I’m here for the wedding... but not the one you’re thinking of."
Lily tilted her head slightly, looking at him with growing amusement. "Oh? Then whose wedding are you here for? Not your boss’s, I take it?"
Timmy shook his head, his lips quirking into a smile as he finally gave in to the humor of the situation. "No. I’m here for his wedding. Samuel. The wedding is for Samuel and Zinnia."
Lily’s eyes widened in realization. "Wait—Samuel Lucas? You’re working for him?" She was clearly shocked. "I had no idea."
Timmy laughed softly, scratching the back of his neck, clearly a little embarrassed by her reaction. "Well, you’ve never really asked, and, honestly, I never really brought it up. But yeah, I work for him. Samuel and Zinnia are getting married soon, and I’m helping handle some of the details. It’s been... interesting, to say the least."
Lily’s expression shifted from surprise to curiosity, her brow furrowing as if piecing something together. Before she could say anything, Timmy leaned forward, narrowing his eyes slightly. "Wait a second... You know them, don’t you?"
