When Love is a Question Mark-Chapter 229: Suit Up, Dress Up
Timmy blinked, momentarily caught off guard by her question. Then, realizing she was serious, he straightened up, his nerves replaced with a touch of excitement. "Oh! Right, yes, of course. I did promise that, didn’t I?"
"You did," Lily confirmed, her smile widening. "So, any ideas?"
Timmy thought for a moment, his mind racing through the possibilities. "Well, there’s this art district not too far from here. They’ve got galleries, little cafes, and some street performances. I think you’d like it."
Lily’s eyes lit up. "That sounds perfect. I’d love to see that."
Timmy smiled, relieved and pleased that she seemed genuinely interested. "Great. Then, once we’re done here, I’ll take you there. It’s a really lively place, and I think you’ll enjoy the atmosphere."
Lily nodded, her excitement evident. "Sounds like a plan. I’m looking forward to it."
Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of one of the fitting room doors opening. Timmy glanced up, and his face lit up as he saw Samuel step out in a perfectly tailored suit. The deep charcoal fabric complemented Samuel’s sharp features, and even Timmy had to admit his boss looked incredibly dashing.
Samuel adjusted his cuffs and glanced at Timmy with a smirk. "Well? How do I look?"
Timmy quickly stood up, his nervousness replaced with genuine admiration. "You look great, sir. Very... sophisticated."
Lily chimed in with a nod of approval. "You do look amazing. Zinnia’s going to be speechless when she sees you."
As if on cue, Zinnia stepped out of her fitting room, her wedding dress flowing elegantly around her. Timmy and Lily both turned, their eyes widening in awe. Zinnia looked radiant, her dress accentuating her beauty in a way that left them momentarily speechless.
Samuel’s expression softened the moment he saw her, his gaze filled with admiration. "Zia," he said quietly, his voice filled with warmth. "You look breathtaking."
Zinnia blushed, smiling shyly as she looked down at the intricate details of her gown. "You’re not too bad yourself," she replied, her eyes sparkling as she glanced at him.
Lily and Timmy exchanged a knowing look, their earlier conversation momentarily forgotten as they watched the couple share a tender moment. It was clear that, despite all the chaos and challenges, Zinnia and Samuel were meant for each other.
Samuel and Zinnia stood side by side in front of the boutique’s grand mirror, their reflections beaming back at them.
Zinnia’s wedding dress was finalized with delicate adjustments—lace trimming on the neckline, a fitted bodice, and a flowing train that shimmered under the soft lights.
Samuel’s charcoal suit was tailored to perfection, with sharp lapels and a tie that matched the subtle accents on Zinnia’s dress.
The seamstress gave a final nod of approval. "I believe we’re all set. You both look stunning," she said, stepping back to admire her work.
Samuel turned to Zinnia with a satisfied smile. "That’s it, Zia. We’re officially ready for the big day."
Zinnia grinned, her excitement barely contained. "I can’t believe it’s all coming together. Thank you for being so patient with all of this."
Samuel chuckled. "Anything for you."
The couple then turned their attention to the sofa where Timmy and Lily sat, chatting quietly. Samuel’s smirk returned as he called out, "Alright, you two. Your turn to try on your clothes."
Timmy blinked, his eyes widening in surprise. "Our clothes?"
Zinnia laughed softly, walking toward them. "Yes, Timmy. You’re the best man, and Lily, you’re my maid of honor. It’s only fair that you both look your best too."
Lily smiled, a hint of surprise flickering in her expression. "Maid of honor," she murmured. "I didn’t expect that title."
Timmy, still processing, stammered, "W-Wait, best man? Me?"
Samuel raised an eyebrow at Timmy. "Of course. Who else would it be? You’ve been with me through everything, Timmy. You deserve it."
Lily leaned closer to Timmy, her eyes twinkling. "Looks like you’re in the spotlight now," she teased.
Timmy blushed, standing up hesitantly. "Well, if that’s the case... I guess I’d better try on the suit."
The staff led Lily and Timmy to their respective fitting rooms, handing them carefully selected outfits. Lily’s dress was a beautiful pastel blue, with elegant details that matched the theme of the wedding. It was designed to complement Zinnia’s gown without overshadowing it, the fabric flowing gracefully like a gentle breeze.
Timmy’s suit, on the other hand, was a lighter shade than Samuel’s, with a subtle tie that matched Lily’s dress. He stepped out first, tugging nervously at his cuffs as he stood before the mirror. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
Samuel gave him a once-over and nodded approvingly. "Not bad, Timmy. You clean up well."
Timmy chuckled nervously. "I feel a little out of my element, but... it’s nice."
Lily emerged next, her dress swaying softly as she walked. Timmy turned to look at her, and for a moment, his breath caught in his throat. She looked stunning, and the smile on her face made her even more radiant.
Zinnia clapped her hands together in delight. "Lily, you look amazing! The dress is perfect on you."
Lily twirled slightly, laughing. "It does feel nice. I’m glad you like it."
Timmy, still standing awkwardly, managed to mutter, "You look... really nice, Lily."
Lily glanced at him, her smile widening. "Thank you, Timmy. You look great too."
Samuel exchanged a knowing look with Zinnia, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "I think we’re all set now. What do you say, Zia?"
Zinnia nodded, her excitement bubbling over. "Absolutely. Everyone looks perfect."
After the fitting, the group left the boutique, their spirits lifted from the excitement of choosing their outfits for the big day.
Zinnia held Samuel’s hand as they walked toward the parking lot, both beaming from ear to ear, knowing that one more big task had been checked off the wedding list.
Samuel turned to Timmy and Lily as they approached the cars, his usual calm demeanor taking on a playful edge. "Alright, let’s grab lunch first before we part ways," he said, his tone casual but with a subtle hint of mischief. "Zia and I have our prenup photo shoot scheduled next, but I figured we should all have a bite to eat before we go our separate ways."
