When Will My Childhood Sweetheart Marry Me?-Chapter 40 - 0: Write as I Say
All right, the young master of the Pei family finally decided to see the error of his ways.
Qin Ming felt happiness come too quickly, like a tornado that whisked him up to the clouds, leaving him floating and nearly in paradise, not knowing whether he would land on his butt and shatter it when he fell.
Ah, being a teacher is tough, but being a good teacher struggling to survive in the cracks is even tougher.
As Qin Ming was sighing to the heavens, little did he know that Class Two was already seething with excitement.
"Holy shit, Brother Yan, are you really going up there to read the reflection? What do those old farts mean by this? Are they not giving Brother Yan face?"
"Not giving face is one thing, but not even providing a template, who knows what the hell a reflection should look like?"
Chen Jin babbled on while pulling out his phone to search for sample essays. Halfway through, a large hand snatched it away, and when he looked up, he saw their boss signaling Xu Kanfeng to come over.
Right, how could I forget? Kanzi is brilliant with words, a genius who once scored a perfect 30 in an essay.
Xu Kanfeng took out paper and pen, and with eager eyes waited for a few pairs of eyes before saying, "I’m starting, then."
Before he could begin, Pei Yan’s lazy voice cut in.
"Write what I say."
The three glanced at each other, puzzled. Could Brother Yan really be capable of that?
Then, Pei Yan slowly uttered the first sentence, and immediately had the three of them bursting with laughter. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
I knew it, our boss, this untamed wild horse, how could he obediently go up there and read some reflection.
At the very least, the first sentence of a sincere reflection should state the reasons for the fight.
But Brother Yan, on the other hand, began the show with such sass.
Writing alone was unexciting, so Xu Kanfeng, holding back laughter, mimicked the boss’s usual sinister warning and read, "Next time you come to support, anyone who dares to wear the school uniform, I’ll make him streak back home."
No sooner had he read it out than the onlooking students of Class Two collectively shuddered.
Damn, it seems like last Friday, quite a few had worn their school uniforms — if dozens of people were to come back bare-assed, the scene would be truly shocking.
But for many, the first voluntary reflection read by Boss Pei, who had dominated Yunzhong for so many years, was sure to be a day of great sentimental value.
The motivational assembly started on time at three o’clock in the auditorium.
Since one of the classmates needed to prepare a speech, the teachers of Class Six exceptionally didn’t hold the class back.
Everyone was excited. When class ended, they all went to the auditorium in groups. In the last twenty minutes, the classroom was left with only Jiang Shuyao and Tang Xing still at their seats, organizing their papers.
"Yaoyao, you’re about to speak onstage, but you don’t seem nervous at all," Tang Xing said, her chin propped in her hands and a look of admiration on her face. She felt like she had hit the jackpot to become desk-mates with this legendary top student and to hang out with her.
Not to mention, under Yaoyao’s influence, she was more engaged in class than ever before.
The old saying ’one takes on the color of one’s company’ really holds true.
Every time she saw her desk-mate act like a little fangirl, Jiang Shuyao couldn’t help but smile, "Giving a speech is just sharing some study tips, an introduction, and a conclusion. It’s only about ten minutes long, no time to be nervous."
Tang Xing clearly didn’t quite believe her. "No way, can you finish in just ten minutes?"
She recalled other students’ speeches, which usually took at least half an hour.
Just then, Lu Chen, having just come back from the headteacher’s office, happened to pass by the classroom door on his way directly to the auditorium.
Hearing the two girls talking, he paused for a moment, then turned and entered the classroom.
Seeing him enter, Tang Xing uttered a soft "huh", glanced at the time and seeing it was getting late, quickly packed up her belongings and said, "Yaoyao, I need to use the restroom. You go on ahead, and I’ll catch up with you later."
Her desk-mate was pretty normal in every aspect, except that she always needed to go to the bathroom incessantly before going anywhere.
Psychologically speaking, this must be a sort of forced anxiety disorder.
