Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?-Chapter 1199 - 774: Skyrim’s Efforts (2)
If the persuasive power of the first two still counts as ordinary, then being identified as Soul-sucking Ghosts made Luluwo and her party appear endearingly cute in the eyes of the rebel army.
The main reason is that for a long period, Soul-sucking Ghosts were invading Holy Light believers, taking advantage of them. The peak of these invasions centered around the time when the man-made Divine Blessings of the Holy Light Church were humiliated in the Sain Dungeon, prompting the believers to band together and enter Sain to save face for their blessed ones.
Yet, before they even had the chance to be tormented by monsters, they became targets for numerous invaders.
Since then, the Holy Light Church's attitude toward any Soul-sucking Ghost Oath Takers was one of immediate execution, a stance they could not always enforce in other countries.
In Scameroon, being a Soul-sucking Ghost was genuinely life-threatening.
Afterward, the Skyrim Strategy Group managed to penetrate the rebel army's ranks, forming a team by recruiting talent from various factions, tasked specifically with exploring the Sain Dungeon.
Until now, there has been a continuous stream of troops arriving at Hepa Town as volunteers, mostly defense experts. They've built fortifications around Hepa Town to guard against what's expected to be an inevitable attack by the Holy Light Church.
In the relatively brief time spent here, Hepa Town's surroundings have been transformed into a fortification suitable for defense.
At Luluwo's request, some dungeon exploration specialists have joined the defensive forces, strengthening the team exploring the Sain Dungeon.
The exploration team's first mission after formation was to locate the area with the highest strategic value among the currently accessible regions of the Sain Dungeon and quickly organize manpower to "move bricks," meaning to transport resources out.
In just a few days, the resource points of the Northern Undead Asylum and the Undead Town Outside the City were entirely scouted by this exploration team. Every member of the Skyrim Strategy Group led a team through the resource collection routes, and those taught went on to instruct others, gradually disseminating the knowledge.
To date, no fewer than ten teams consistently shuttle between the Sain Dungeon and Hepa Town, continually transporting the resources needed by the rebel army to the outside world.
In this scenario, the City Lord naturally meticulously calculated the types and quantities of resources produced daily by the Sain Dungeon, maintaining a level that met the rebel army's basic needs but still left them wanting more, compelling them to invest additional manpower and resources.
The speed of spiritual power production here still lags behind sub-cities in other countries, likely due to the war preventing adventurers wishing to enter the Teleportation Gate from acting freely, temporarily disrupting large-scale redistribution.
Nonetheless, this issue will eventually be resolved.
After successfully training up double-digit-sized squads for transporting resources, the rebels completely recognized the strength of the Skyrim Strategy Group, holding them in ever higher regard.
Luluwo took charge of the situation, setting her sights on the undeveloped regions, evaluating their potential.
The exploration of the Undead Parish outside the city is currently being led by Berto, accompanied by Mila, Ais, and Em, aiming to thoroughly map the area.
The Sain Ancient City, that eerie complex that chills one even from the exterior, shows no signs of being ready for entry and can be temporarily struck from the exploration list.
The Black Forest Courtyard, seemingly a site that might yield various plant-type items, has been listed for exploration, with Hevi and his Starfire Knights tasked with the mission.
The Little Londo Ruins... This place is rather uncanny; though the suicide squad successfully discovered the item known as the Temporary Curse, its rarity and other factors led to the site's reduced priority for exploration.
Similarly, the Underground Cemetery beside the Fire Transmission Ceremony hasn't revealed any critical items within the currently accessible sections, with its skeleton monsters proving resilient unless ground to absolute dust, which results in time waste.
Upon reviewing the features of these areas, only one place remains, which Luluwo plans to explore personally with Tami.
[Sick Village].
According to Discouragement Brother, this is where the second bell resides, and ringing it would reveal the mission of the Undead Man.
While Luluwo believes this mission is probably something mundane like Fire Transmission, given the Sain Dungeon's fantastical flair, she's happy to follow its suggestions for exploration.
However, this wretched place awakens unpleasant memories for the entire Skyrim Strategy Group.
It stems from a time long past, though, not really that long ago.
After causing a city-wide Mad Fire broadcast in the Warrior Country, nearly incapacitating a certain Second Prince, they were unfortunately caught within the painted world known as [Sick Village], while in the Sain Dungeon.
In that painted world, they endured memories aptly described as quite "unpleasant."
From then on, whenever "sick" and "village" appeared together, even if separated in a sentence, Luluwo could precisely spot them and experience PTSD.
The psychological shadow cast was significant.
For this reason, when she heard these words from Discouragement Brother, Luluwo shuddered, nearly tempted to flee.
Yet, upon seeing the looks of admiration from the Starfire Knights, she couldn't bear to leave.
If she did, the Starfire Knights would have to enter the Sick Village blindly, an ordeal she did not wish them to endure, as it might scar their spirits.
Thus, the Skyrim Strategy Group accepted this commission, with Luluwo personally leading the expedition to Sick Village!
How admirable Luluwo is!
"I am truly a great person."
Standing amidst a stench-laden atmosphere, Luluwo placed her hands on her hips, head high and chest out, as if she were rescuing the world.
Beside her, Tami was darting back and forth at the entry to Sick Village, having discovered something amusing.
Leaving the tunnel to Sick Village, they were greeted by a refreshing and visually pleasing scene. Upon re-entering, a murky tinge covered everything in sight.
Does this wretched place have cognitive interference as well...
The discovery of Sick Village was a fluke; initially, they combed the area without any luck.
Then, by chance, a Starfire Knight procured an elusive item—the Universal Key—from Blacksmith Andre.
From then on, he would compulsively test every keyhole he encountered within the Sain Dungeon, eventually earning the label of obsessed by his teammates, requiring numerous calming techniques to regain composure.
Ultimately, he stumbled upon a hidden door. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Located beneath the Little Londo Ruins, opening that door unfolded a whole new world.
[Flying Dragon Valley], a lush, verdant landscape appeared before the Starfire Knight's eyes!
Yet, this picturesque valley couldn't be explored. Besides the hazardous monsters here, there was another reason.
The path had collapsed.
Even with the Flying Skill, the dragons would attack en masse, stifling further exploration of Flying Dragon Valley.
However, across from Flying Dragon Valley lay a pleasant surprise.
The dark tunnel leading to [Sick Village].
This time, it was a fortunate misstep.
"Alright, all adjusted, right?"
Casting Healing Magic on those collapsed from nausea, lifting them and with a sweeping gesture, Luluwo announced:
"Let's go, time to leave you with a beautiful memory today."
