Wizard: Adventures in Two Worlds-Chapter 566 - 20: Flowing Out
Calim Continent.
A six-story Wizard Tower stands on the mountain peak, shrouded in dark clouds, surrounded by natural barriers of thunder and lightning.
Todd Greene sits cross-legged on the third floor of the Wizard Tower, holding a magic wand, using various methods to analyze the corpse in front of him.
"Tutor."
A young man in a wizard robe comes forward with hot tea, inquiring softly:
"No results yet?"
"Mm." Todd nods:
"This corpse came from the Eastern Kingdom Continent, although there are many marks on it, the light of the Gods has blocked my investigation."
He is a Third Ring Peak Wizard, whose main research direction in witchcraft is Seeking Gap, Cause and Effect, and so on...
Everything in existence bears marks of time and environment on its form.
And he,
can deduce many clues through these marks.
Unfortunately!
Where this corpse came from is quite special, even a Fourth or Fifth Ring Wizard can’t get close.
"The corpse seems to have three consciousnesses coexisting." The young man speaks:
"Quite rare."
"Yes." Todd nods:
"Carl Bergman captured a couple, turned the husband’s body into a puppet, the wife’s consciousness hidden deep within the husband’s Spiritual Inner Sea, and his consciousness embedded deep within the wife’s consciousness, one could say it’s carefully crafted."
This method is very concealed to others, even a Fourth Ring Wizard might not discover it.
But in the eyes of the Green family, flaws are everywhere.
"Witch Demon’s Life Box Divine Splitting Skill." The young man says:
"I remembered Carl practiced not the Witch Demon inheritance, but the Water Element Meditation Method of the tower?"
"He did before." Todd replies:
"But not necessarily now, though he’s definitely a genius, otherwise he couldn’t have reached this realm in such a short time."
"He should have already become Third Ring!"
?
The young man’s eyes widen in shock.
As someone who specializes in investigations for the Green family, of course he had seen the files on Carl Bergman.
The other party is only a dozen years older than himself, yet already a Third Ring Wizard?
Moreover, that person is also a Taboo Knight!
"Without other opportunities, it’s impossible to reach such heights without ever touching the true Wizard World."
Todd muses:
"Carl must be hiding something, which is likely what the family has its eye on."
"Hmm..."
"The items carried on the corpse were all destroyed, with divine protection, nothing can be uncovered."
"Yes." The young man bows in affirmation.
Taking a bunch of items, he leaves the Wizard Tower and heads to his own place of practice, lightly tapping the table.
Before long.
An elderly woman comes in.
"Young master."
"Mm." The young man nods, waving towards the items:
"Throw these into the incinerator for destruction."
"Yes." The old woman complies, picking up the clothes, books, and a few items, and retreats step by step.
Shortly after.
The old woman’s figure appears at a market where wizards gather, led by someone to a shop.
The shopkeeper is a red-nosed middle-aged man with sparse hair, smiling broadly:
"Second sister, bringing good stuff again?"
"I don’t know if it’s good stuff." The old woman shakes her head:
"But they come from the Eastern Kingdom Continent."
"Oh!" The man’s eyes brighten:
"Things from there are quite rare, let me see."
He steps forward, picks up the clothing, examines the material and the stitching closely.
"Seems like silk mixed with something else, no traces of witchcraft, but this mixed material is quite nice, the stitching is very fine, seems not man-made, it could be a collector’s item."
"A pen that doesn’t use ink?"
"A time-recording pocket watch, an unknown family crest..."
"And a book, though unfortunately no witchcraft written in it, just an ordinary travelogue, but I’m sure someone will be interested in the situation there."
Thinking for a moment, the man looks up and says:
"Ten magic stones!"
"Alright." The old woman grins:
"Deal."
She is merely a servant managing the residence for a wizard, with limited monthly salary, she occasionally takes unused and disposable items to sell for extra income.
After sending the old woman off, the red-nosed middle-aged man smiles broadly, picking up the unassuming family crest.
"This isn’t just any family crest, but the symbol of a Divine, with the Divine Name in the book."
"Master of Essence..."

*
*
"Boom!"
"Rumble..."
Near the Royal City, the artillery fire is unceasing, the solid walls seem like tofu crumbled at a single touch before the cannons.
Ordinary cannons clearly don’t have this power.
It’s said that Sake Researcher involved wizards in enhancing the latest cannons with witchcraft.
"Woo..."
Several planes flew overhead, dropping bombs inside the city, flames shooting to the sky instantly.
"Swoosh!"
"Swoosh swoosh!"
Several figures shuttle and collide among the clouds, Angels seemingly no longer mind appearing before ordinary people.
Suburban Manor.
Carl reclines on a soft chair, looking up at the battle above, expression relaxed, as if watching a play.
"The wars of the mortal world are the overflow of the Divine Domain Battlefield, does this mean the God of Intense Sun has gained the upper hand?"
"Hmph!"
Remiller stands beside him, face pale, body slightly trembling, eyes full of unwillingness:
"If the other few Divines were willing to act, the God of Intense Sun would definitely not have reached here!"
"It’s too late to speak of this now." Carl shakes his head:
"The other Divines are probably hoping for your Divine to be defeated, to devour the remaining followers and territories."
"Remiller..."
"I can’t help you anymore."
He says, glancing sideways at her, with a trace of surprise in his eyes.
Who would have thought.
A few decades ago, Remiller just became an Angel, shortly an emissary, now one of the twelve Great Angels under the Master of Dawn.
Of course...
It’s also due to several Great Angels dying in battle over recent years, while Remiller has repeatedly made achievements.
"I know."
Remiller suddenly sighs:
"The God of Intense Sun won’t easily let go, having defeated the Mother Goddess, the other Divines will also face His threat, if the Gods have endless wisdom, how can they not see this?"
"They know, yet watch the changes unfold." Carl chuckles:
"If the Master of Dawn falls, it aligns more with their desires; don’t think such things won’t happen, between the Ancient Gods and the current six Divines, the seat has changed countless times, though the Divinity never changes."
The Gods of this world have been constantly vying for the position of Main God, but to become the Main God, they must devour the other Divines.
For countless years.
The Gods have slaughtered each other, yet no Divine has ever succeeded.
However, unlike the Otherworld, this world only has six Divines, each an Upper God.
Lower Divines have long been completely devoured by them.
"Remiller."
Carl speaks:
"Has the Master of Dawn responded to my proposal?"
"You mean the God-making Method?" Remiller sneers:
"Carl, my friend, do you really think you can become a Divine? It’s simply not possible."
Carl wanted to make a deal with the Master of Dawn, to trade something he possessed for a God-making Method.
Unfortunately.
’Master of Dawn’ seemingly had no such intention, or rather didn’t consider Carl’s proposal at all.
A mere mortal, even a Third Ring Wizard, is hardly different from an ordinary person in the eyes of Upper Gods.
Simply not possessing the ability to intervene in the war among the Gods.
"Forget it!"
Carl shakes his head:
"If the war continues, sooner or later there will be a Divine willing to do it."
