Wizard World Irregular-Chapter 1112: Tides Of Vengeance [Part 3]
Zabab, Aplu, and Adad were the first to see the giant waves headed in their direction.
Although the heavy rain significantly reduced the visibility in the surroundings, such a massive thing couldn't escape their sight. Their faces turn grim.
"Kill him before the waves reach us!" Zabab roared before flying toward the Ancient City of Atlantis.
Since the enemy wanted a fight, then he would bring the fight to them as they wished!
Aplu and Adad flew alongside Zabab, ready to fight their enemies to the death.
"Let's go," Ethan said, before releasing Lilian's hand. "Lilian, I'll leave the small fries to you."
"Understood." Lilian nodded.
Ethan, Leviathan, and Hecate all jumped off Atlantis and faced the Progenitors heading in their way.
It was going to be a three-versus-three battle, with Ethan facing the strongest of the Plague Faction Progenitors, Zabab.
Deep inside the Inner Palace, Lily watched the projection in front of her and clenched her fists.
"Don't worry," said Nicole, whom Ethan had asked to guard Lily. "I'm sure Ethan has a plan."
Before the battle started, the young man asked Nicole to stay with Lily inside the Inner Palace.
If there was someone who had the power to deal with unexpected variables, it would be Nicole and Baradiel.

"I know," Lily replied. "I trust him."
"Good." Nicole nodded. "I trust him too."
The two young ladies then shifted their attention to the battle against the three Progenitors.
Leviathan faced off against Adad.
Hecate charged at Aplu.
Ethan clashed with Zabab.
When the two exchanged blows with each other, the Progenitor blocked Ethan's punch, while the latter dodged Zabab's blow.
Areadbhair attacked from Zabab's blind spot, but the Progenitor sensed its approach and evaded the attack without too much effort.
Ethan then summoned his wand and unleashed a barrage of Water Balls at point-blank range, treating it as a machine gun.
The Progenitor of Slaughter and Ruin thought he could shrug off Ethan's spells.
But he should've known—not all Water Balls were the same.
Some of them did nothing more than make Zabab wet. But a few of the Water Balls packed a punch that pushed him back a few times.
"Petty tricks!" Zabab said in disdain as he dodged the incoming barrage of Water Balls.
Originally, he wanted to delay the battle to buy time for their allies to come as reinforcements.
But after getting hit by the Water Balls, he felt like Ethan was looking down on him. Triggered by Ethan's insult, the Progenitor decided to teach the arrogant young man a lesson.
The leader of the Plague Faction's body shone faintly, and soon, his body increased in size until he was ten meters tall.
Dark flames erupted from his body, and two black horns appeared on his head.
"Die!" Zabab slashed in Ethan's direction with his claws, sending dark crescent blades flying, which dispersed the Water Balls Ethan had unleashed toward his opponent.
As the young man dodged the Black Crescent Claws that flew in his direction, Zabab accelerated to close the distance between them.
But at that moment, Ethan's words reached his ears.
"Sing with me."
"Illumina!"
The image of the Mermaid Princess appeared behind Ethan's back. Illumina unleashed Water Beams without waiting for an order. The beams merged and slammed into Zabab, pushing him back toward the ground.
The impact was so strong that a crater formed in the place where he crashed, making the Armies of the Plague Faction look at this scene in shock.
However, they didn't have time to observe the battle for a long time because the giant waves had finally reached them.
The force of nature slammed against them from all directions, crushing the weak and disorienting the strong.
Lilian and Illumina relentlessly controlled the element of water and annihilated as many of their enemies as possible, leaving the rest to Ethan, Leviathan, and Lady Hecate.
The waves hit Zabab, prompting him to roar as he emerged from the water, creating a fountain. He didn't have time to think about his subordinates as he poured all his focus into fighting Ethan.
Meanwhile, Aplu, who was facing off against the Progenitor of Magic, Hecate, found herself at a great disadvantage.
Hecate countered all of her abilities, which made their matchup greatly disadvantageous for her.
"Adad!" Aplu shouted. "Swap with me!"
"He can't," Hecate replied. "Leviathan won't let him."
Just as the Progenitor of Magic said, Adad, who was also a Progenitor who specialized in close combat, found himself unable to extricate himself from his opponent.
Leviathan specialized in both offense and defense and, as one of the most powerful Progenitors, especially when surrounded by water, no one could escape from him so easily.
Countless Water Spears pierced Adad's body, pinning him in place and preventing him from going anywhere.
Seeing her comrade's situation, Aplu gritted her teeth and once again unleashed her Plague Clouds, but it was simply no use against Hecate.
Within that rainy battlefield, flames erupted to obliterate the plague clouds, making them explode upon contact.
However, Aplu had already expected such a thing.
She used the explosions as cover to hide among her subordinates, shielding her presence from Hecate.
"Smart," Hecate said. "You should've done that from the start… because you can't hide from me anymore!"
During their battle, Hecate expected this move from Aplu because this wasn't the first time that they had clashed with each other.
They had fought thrice in the Land of Saraqael, and Hecate had created a backup plan in case she did something like this again.
Extending her magical senses around her, Hecate easily found where the Progenitor was hiding.
Aplu had transformed into a green snake that was swimming across the water, headed toward Ethan, intending to unleash a surprise attack on him.
Hecate pointed her finger to where Aplu was hiding and chanted a spell. While she could cast powerful spells, adding a chant to them amplified their firepower.
"Storms above, heed my call,
Lightning's wrath, strike them all!
From the heavens, fury pours,
Burn their souls forevermore!"
Countless lightning bolts gathered at the tip of her fingertip. Zabab and Adad momentarily glanced in Hecate's direction, thinking she was casting a spell in their direction.
"Lightning Breaker!" Hecate said coldly.
As soon as the name of the spell was mentioned, the concentrated lightning bolt shot toward the ground like a rail gun, piercing through it like a hot knife through butter.
Aplu, who thought that she had hidden her presence well, wasn't even able to react in time as the spell struck her body, making her scream in pain.
A moment later, a giant green snake emerged from the ground, covered in wounds.
The corner of its lips was bleeding, but that didn't stop it from glancing toward the Progenitor of Magic, who had just finished chanting her second spell.
"Heaven's Lament."
Hecate snapped her fingers, and a supersonic sound wave crashed against Aplu's head.
The Giant Green Snake staggered as the invisible attack hit her.
She could only hold her ground for a few seconds before her massive body collapsed on the ground, unconscious.
"One down," Hecate said as she blew on her fingertip as if she had just fired a gun.
This made Zabab's and Adad's expressions turn grim, because this meant that the battle had turned in their enemy's favor. It was now two versus three.
