It is said that antelopes can sense the approach of danger in advance.

Kieren is not an antelope, but he clearly has a similar ability.

After Redio uttered that prophecy known to everyone throughout history in front of Solomon, Kieren's heart sensed a strong feeling of impending doom.

He couldn't believe that this young Sabbath, who appeared a bit gloomy and had a sharp smile, was truly world-weary and thought he had lived enough, and actually went to provoke this Wing Tribe Commander, Solomon.

If he had known about this, Kieren would have stopped him at all costs.

But it's too late to talk about it now, even though Kieren had long sworn to Solomon that he no longer had any ties to the Double Rest Sect, it was Redio who suddenly sought him out, asking him for a small favor in the name of past relations, to arrange this meeting.

However, from being with Solomon for so long, Kieren knew very well what kind of person this Wing Tribe Commander was. Once he started to doubt you, even if there was no evidence, he would no longer trust you.

After all, the last thing Solomon lacked was loyal followers; since he occupied Lion Heart Castle and killed Gars, imperial nobility had been coming to him in an endless stream.

And once you lost Solomon's trust, it wasn't just about being pushed out of the power center; it often came with other dangers, even losing your life.

Thus, after that night, Kieren had already wanted to leave.

In contrast, Silver Hand was much more slow-witted. Although he was also afraid, after waiting a month and seeing Solomon make no move, he gradually relaxed.

He was quite surprised to hear that Kieren planned to leave Lion Heart Castle.

"You're not planning to continue as an Imperial Minister?"

As the most prominent rising political star in the Royal Capital of this time, Silver Hand tasted the flavor of power for the first time, and that taste was so sweet, more unforgettable than the lips of a young girl.

To suddenly hear about leaving the Royal Capital, Silver Hand was a bit reluctant, but he quickly thought of something and showed a sudden enlightened expression.

"Are you planning to go back to your territory? It makes sense; we are all nobles now, yet we haven't even inspected our lands. We can't let those below us pocket all the money."

Kieren shook his head at his words and said, "I'm not going back to my own territory."

"Then are you... planning to check out my place first?"

"I have even less interest in your territory."

"Then where exactly are you going?"

"Northern Territory," Kieren softly uttered two words.

"Northern Territory?" Silver Hand was stunned, "Why would you suddenly go to the Northern Territory, isn't that enemy territory?"

Kieren glanced at him, "Enemy? You've been a noble for just a few days, and you've already tied yourself to those Wing Tribe people."

"Is there a problem with that?" Silver Hand didn't understand and continued, "Of course, I know we are not one of those Wing Tribesmen, but you must admit that Solomon has been quite good to us.

"He gave us titles, land, a huge amount of wealth I couldn't have even dreamed of before. Now, when we go out, we ride in carriages and live in mansions, and no one calls you 'golden voice' or me 'Silver Hand' anymore. They all call us 'Lord' now.

"'Lord,' I never realized how melodious those two words could be. I know you're still a follower of the Double Rest Sect, and so am I, but even Merlin never offered me such good conditions, right?

"And we brought that kid named Redio to meet Solomon, we took quite a risk in that matter too, isn't that quite commendable? Wait, you said you're going to the Northern Territory, not the Western Territory?"

"Nonsense, the Western Territory is about to go to war, who would go there at this time?" Kieren blandly responded.

"Allister? Really, do you believe in that kid?"

"Not really, but we don't have a choice now, do we? At least with the Northern Territory's environment, even if Solomon is determined to fight there, it will take him years of Kung Fu to succeed."

"But why do you have to leave?"

"If you want to stay, you can stay, as long as you don't mind losing your head."

Silver Hand finally sobered up a bit and frowned, "Do you think Solomon has murderous intent toward us? Does he know about us sending information to Green Field behind his back?

"That's right, Redio Sabbath has already been captured, he might expose our connection, should we..." Silver Hand made a throat-slitting gesture.

Kieren was so amused he chuckled, "Didn't you hear? Solomon wants to keep him to exchange for Lannita, it's not that easy to kill him, and do you even know where to find professional assassins?"

"I don't know, I was just a minstrel before."

"Exactly, and I think I need to remind you again, don't mess with the Double Rest Sect, no matter when, Merlin and the Sabbath are a hundred times stronger than those poems describe. I have a feeling, Solomon might not have it easy this time."

"Are we still going to leave?" Silver Hand was still reluctant about the opulent life at Lion Heart Castle and the territory he hadn't even warmed his hands over.

"Yes, we have to leave," Kieren said, "It's hard to say if Solomon will win, but if he loses, he will definitely vent his anger on us. However, getting out of the city now isn't easy, so for the next month or two, let's pretend that nothing happened and keep everything as it is."

Silver Hand nodded and then thought of another matter, "Do you think Lord Solomon will take us with him to the Western Territory before the war? Or at least take you; hasn't he liked taking you with him for everything lately?"

"No, he won't." Kieren was certain, "I told you, he has already lost trust in us."

Silver Hand still had some disbelief in his heart, but two months later, when Solomon marched out with his army, he really didn't take the two of them.

Only then did Silver Hand fully concede and decided to escape with Kieren.

Kieren casually found a pretext to leave the city for business, and then the two, already changed into plain clothes, slipped into the woods under cover of darkness, while the carriage continued forward to attract potential followers' attention, ultimately escaping successfully.

Until Lion Heart Castle was out of sight, Silver Hand kept looking back frequently, his gaze full of reluctance.

He lamented, "Alas, I just barely got a taste of being a noble, and now I'm back to square one. Fortunately, I brought a lot of gold with me, so it wasn't all for nothing."

"Who said we're commoners?" Kieren remarked.

"Do you really think Allister will recognize Solomon's titles?" Silver Hand was skeptical.

"Why wouldn't he?" Kieren answered with a question, "We gave up the land and titles Solomon granted us, traveling a thousand miles to seek him out; if Allister isn't stupid, he should double our compensation. This would showcase his kingly aura and tell other nobles that allying with him is the right choice."

Seeing Silver Hand still a bit confused, Kieren patiently explained, "The fact that Solomon lost trust in us and harbors murderous intent toward us is not known to Allister or others. In their eyes, we are Solomon's trusted confidants and political rising stars from Lion Heart Castle.

"So, Allister is bound to accept us in that capacity, rest assured, your noble title won't be lost, land will be there too; although it might be just promises at this stage, money certainly won't be lacking."

"That works." Silver Hand conceded.

But Kieren wasn't finished, "Once we root ourselves firmly by Allister's side in the Northern Territory, we can also continue to find ways to send information to Green Field, if the Western Territory hasn't been swallowed by Solomon."

By this time, Silver Hand was completely convinced, surrendering with no reservations.

"No matter who wins in the end, we definitely won't lose," Kieren said leisurely.

The facts indeed turned out that way. The minstrel was warmly welcomed as soon as he arrived in the Northern Territory and successfully married the deceased Emperor Gars' daughter a year later.

In the subsequent unification war, due to his outstanding performance, he assisted Queen Victoria's troops in recovering the Northern Territory without bloodshed and eventually became the new Duke of the Northern Territory.
