Capítulo 1652: Chapter 754: The “Stone Age”! (Part 3)

“The Alliance will allocate $12 billion as a special war fund. All troops loyal to the Alliance and participating in combat against Mexico and counterattacking operations will immediately receive all owed salaries and a special combat bonus equivalent to six months’ pay! All who achieve meritorious service in subsequent battles will receive additional rewards ranging from $500,000 to $5 million, depending on their achievements!”

“All banks and financial institutions within the jurisdiction of the Alliance must unconditionally and immediately freeze all housing mortgages, auto loans, credit card debts, and corresponding penalty interests of families with active, deceased, or missing servicemen, with a freeze period lasting until 18 months after the war ends! Any financial institution that violates this regulation will be deemed ‘enemy collaborator and capitalist bandit’, with its assets immediately seized by the Alliance!”

“Any serviceman who receives the Silver Star Medal or higher awards in battle, or whose direct family member dies or is severely injured and disabled due to enemy action during wartime, will have all unpaid bank loans (including but not limited to mortgage and student loans) in the Alliance paid in full by the Alliance’s finances! Simultaneously, the educational expenses of their children up to university will be fully borne by the Alliance!”

“Activate the ‘Wartime Economic Revival Plan’. The Alliance will issue ‘Freedom Bonds’ to raise funds for military production and infrastructure repair; all businesses related to military needs will be granted a five-year tax exemption policy; every qualified Alliance citizen family will receive a $2,000 ‘wartime living subsidy’ to stimulate consumption and stabilize public morale.”

“The Alliance has the right to requisition all necessary strategic materials, energy, and medical resources within its territory in the name of ‘national security’, prioritizing the needs of the military and families of servicemen.”

With a voice growing louder and filled with pathos and determination, the Governor declared: 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

“We’re not asking; we’re declaring! We will not wait for handouts from Washington or the ‘financial theft’ of that traitor president! From today, we seize control of our own destiny! We have already ordered the assembly of our states’ National Guard, all volunteer militias, and warriors willing to fight for freedom!”

He swung his fist powerfully, his voice hoarse yet filled with strength:

“Our goal is not just defense! We will counterattack! We will drive Victor’s army out of Indiana! We will make those invaders understand that the Heartland of the Americas is not a swamp they can trample at will!”

Finally, he stared into the camera, as if to pierce through the screen to confront the opponent in the palace in Mexico City, each word squeezed out from between his teeth:

“And to that dictator Victor, who is hiding at the back and dreaming of annexing our territory, I hereby, on behalf of the tens of millions of people in the ‘Freedom Alliance’, give you one final warning:”

“Do not think all Americans are weak! Do not think your conventional military advantage will make us yield! If you insist on driving us into a dead end, if you dare to further ignite the fires of war into our homes, attempting to destroy everything we cherish…”

He paused for a full three seconds, causing the entire room and even the entire world to hold their breath.

“Then, we’ll descend into hell together! We, the ‘Freedom Alliance’, possess and will not rule out using all the means we have to protect ourselves! Remember my words, Victor, we also have nuclear weapons!!!”

“God bless the Alliance! God bless America!”

After speaking, he ignored the uproar below and the frenzied questioning of the reporters, resolutely turning away with the other governors.

“Damn! Are we really going back to the Stone Age?” An eyeglass-wearing reporter’s voice trembled.

His colleagues next to him exchanged glances.

“Probably not; politicians are all about calmness and compromise,” someone whispered.

“Is Victor even considered a politician?”

A chill ran through everyone.

The declaration from the Governor of Kentucky, filled with pathos, determination, and deterrence, dropped like a depth charge into the already tumultuous global media landscape.

The shockwave spread at the speed of light, quickly sweeping across major newsrooms in Europe and the Americas. The headlines on newspapers and TV news around the world were dominated by this suddenly escalating North American conflict, each title more startling than the last:

United Kingdom, front-page banner headline in The Times:

“American Divergence: ‘Heartland’ Alliance Issues Nuclear Warning to Mexican Dictator”

Subtitle: Kentucky and other states declare the formation of a defensive alliance, vowing to expel Victor’s troops from Indiana and hinting at possessing the “ultimate weapon”, with London urging “extreme restraint” and the Prime Minister’s Mansion announcing an emergency Cobra meeting.

France, front-page of World Newspaper:

“On the Brink of the Abyss: U.S. Civil War Escalates into Interstate Nuclear Confrontation?”

Subtitle: Victor’s expansionism faces strong backlash from the ‘Freedom Alliance’, Paris expresses “deep concern”, President Macron holds emergency talks with Berlin and London, discussing a “joint response plan”.

The founding of the ‘Freedom Alliance’ and its astonishing nuclear declaration instantly placed Victor at the center of global media scrutiny.

Labels such as “aggressor”, “troublemaker”, and “regional destabilizer” were increasingly affixed to Mexico and him personally.

Weren’t you claiming to be a mere ‘anti-drug campaigner’?

How did it evolve into this situation now?

Victor’s face took on a somber expression after seeing those newspapers, far from being able to maintain a calm demeanor.

“Boss, I think we need to make a public statement; otherwise…” Casare said worriedly beside him. “I also received notifications from several other nuclear countries; they hope we can stay calm.”

Victor was certainly not afraid of them!

But…

With the expansion of his holdings, he found that he seemed to have lost much of his decisiveness.

If it were earlier, he would have definitely gone all in.

But now…

“Find some major media, I’m going to do a group interview!”
