James took the last of the shopping bag out of the car trunk and nodded at the driver, who also nodded back before driving off.

James smiled as he opened the door, turned to pick up the shopping bags, before walking into gr house.

When he got to his room, the first thing he did was to take out all of his old wears from his wardrobe. This was to clear out the wardrobe and create space for the new stuffs he bought.

He put all of his old stuff into a trash bag and went downstairs to dispose them in the trash.

After he was done taking out his old stuffs, he cleaned his wardrobe thoroughly. He doesn't want his new clothes to get stained even before he wears them.

When James was done with that, he started taking out the shopping bags' content, and arranging them in the wardrobe.

Everything took him over a couple of minutes, and by the time he was done, his wardrobe looked almost brand new.

James immediately went into the bathroom, took a shower and put on one of the new clothes.

As he buttoned up the crisp new shirt, James hardly recognized the man staring back at him.

"Not bad. Looking good," James smiled in satisfaction, when he saw his reflection in the mirror.

'I wonder what Patty and Leslie would say when they see me in these new clothes?' James thought to himself.

Of course he knew that they would be curious. Though they won't pry but they would definitely be curious.

This is even more for Leslie. James knew without a doubt that she would say something and ask questions when she sees the new clothes.

As for Patty, if she's to say anything, it won't be more than telling him how good the new clothes looks on him.

Thinking of how things are changing, James felt that he should tell Patty and Leslie a cooked up story about a certain amount of money miraculously coming into his possession.

Naturally, he won't tell them about the system and the 10x rebate. But instead, a fabricated story of how he suddenly got a substantial amount of money through betting was more plausible.

Besides he has proof. Not that they are going to ask for it.

James trusts Patty and Leslie. He cares for them deeply and he would never do anything to worry them. It's for these reasons that he thought of telling them.

He doesn't want a situation where he would have to start explaining the source of his money in the future, and getting Patty and Leslie worked up for no reason.

This was why James felt that it was better for him to tell them his perfectly fabricated story that has a little of truth in it. Than to leave them completely in the dark, and have them start worrying when things starts changing.

"I will do that tonight, then." James said to himself, coming to a decision.

"Well, onto the next thing. Fixing anything in the house that needs fixing."

James left his room, taking the shopping bags with him and went to dispose them in the trash.

Aftwr that, he went around the house, checking for anything that needs fixing but after looking around for half an hour, he saw nothing.

The house was in structurally sound and there was nothing that needs fixing in it. The only problem is that they are losing it to the bank. Though not anymore.

"Well, since I have nothing else to do and Ralph hasn't completed his research or whatever he's doing. I guess I can start rewatching the movies I love," James said, as he switched on the TV and sank into one of the sofas.

He clicked on one of the movie streaming platforms, allowed it to load, and after it had loaded, he selected the movie he wants to watch.

"Time to rewatch Andrew Garfield's Amazing Spiderman."

Time flew as James was completely invested in the movie he was watching.

He was startled when his phone started ringing. He picked it up and checked the caller ID: Ralph. And he immediately picked it up.

"Hey, man. How is it coming?" He asked.

"I've completed my research. We will go with memecoin project. I talked to the my fellow traders in the group chat that I'm in and they want in on the project.

They will help us to create sufficient buzz on Twitter and Reddit, before we launch it. But we will still need some more advertising to push it furtherbud we really want it to achieve success," Ralph replied.

James nodded when he heard all this. Even though he wasn't a crypto guru, he understood at least this much as he has dabbled into crypto before.

"So, how much are we talking about for the total expenses?" He asked, as he sat up straight on the sofa.

There was a brief silent between the both of them. The silence was broken by Ralph as he sighed.

"Man, if we really want to push this project and give it the best chance of succeeding, honestly, $25k won't be enough. Not even close.

We will need to spend at least more than half a million. And even though my traders friends are going to help us out but it won't be enough."

James' eyes widened in shock when he heard this. He actually didn't expect that so much actually goes into those things. Considering the controversies surrounding them, James never expected to hear such figure.

If it was any other person, James would had shut them down when they started talking spending such amount on advertisement. But this was Ralph and James trusts him completely.

He knew that if Ralph is saying this, then it's true.

"Wow. Damn. I never knew they cost so much." James said in disbelief.

"That's the thing. They cost very little to nothing to create. Especially the Solana memecoins but a lot of funds is funneled into making them profitable." Ralph sighed.

"So, what now? Should I send the money to you?" James asked.

"Really? Aren't going to like consider other options? And aren't you going to be here when I create the memecoin?" Ralph asked in surprise.

"No. Why would I want to do that? You know I don't know much about crypto and stuff, so I will leave everything to you and trust you to do a good job." James said.

"Oh, man. You're really crazy. You are undertaking a project that could potentially bring you hundreds of thousands of dollars to even millions, and you don't want to be involved directly? That's next level crazy, man." Ralph laughed.

"It's not like I'm going to be involved. I'm aware that I won't be able to do anything even if I get involved, so I'm leaving the very important things to you," James explained.

"Ok. If you say so. Today is Thursday, the memecoin will be created by the end of the week.

I will create a wallet for the project, send you the passkeys so that you can access it too. Directly involved or not, it's your project, man and you're the one funding it."

"Sure. Like you said, I hope we finally achieve financial independence with this." James said, and Ralph laughed before hanging up.

"I really hope it works out. And I also have to visit that betting platform again to gather some rebate-eligible funds." James sighed.

What Ralph said about the cost of promoting a memecoin before it can achieve profitability, made him realise that he still has a long way to go.

He was happy about having more than $100,000 in his account, but hearing about half a million was enough to get him up and doing.

That number echoed in his mind. Just days ago, he would have laughed at the thought of having a hundred thousand dollars. Now, it didn't feel like enough.

The world of money was a strange placenin a way that no matter how much you had, there was always a bigger number to chase.
