World Domination Begins With Getting a System in a Modern World-Chapter 50: Meeting With The Lawyers
Chapter 50: Meeting With The Lawyers
The next day, James woke up feeling very refreshed. He freshened up, put on some comfortable clothes, and made his way downstairs for breakfast.
When he got to the dining table, he saw that Patty was dressed up and looking ready for work.
"Patty, why are you dressed like that," he asked curiously, as he took his seat at the table.
"I’m going to drop off my resignation letter at the office, then I’m going to meet up with some lawyers I set up a meeting with, to discuss the offshore trust holding company," she replied.
James’ eyes immediately lit up when he heard Patty talking about lawyers. He wonder if the law firm would have private investigator he could possibly hire.
"Oh. Why don’t I go with you? I can drive you. Besides, I have nothing to do at home anyway," James said.
"Sure. That would be great. It would make things easier for me," Patty said, with an appreciative smile.
"Huh? What about me?," Leslie asked, feeling left out. "I’m not going to work today. If the two of you leave, I’m going to be the only one at home. Alone. Lonely."
"Yeah, you can use the free time to improve your skills so that you don’t get beaten again in our next game battle," James smirked at her.
"Fuck you," Leslie flipped her middle finger at him.
James laughed and started eating his breakfast.
After they were done with breakfast, James grabbed his car keys, and he and Patty left the house.
As they stepped outside, Leslie dramatically threw herself onto the couch, groaning loudly.
"Have fun without me, traitors," she called out as they walked to the car.
James chuckled, shaking his head as he unlocked the car.
"Don’t worry, Leslie. We’ll bring you a souvenir."
"If it’s not an expensive gift, don’t bother, Richard!" Leslie shot back, making Patty laugh as she got into the passenger seat.
James started the car and pulled out of the driveway, heading toward Westwood Community Bank — Patty’s former workplace.
As they drove, Patty leaned back into her seat, a contemplative expression on her face. James could tell she was deep in thought.
"You okay?" he asked.
She blinked, snapping out of her thoughts, and smiled slightly.
"Yeah, just... a little emotional, I guess. I worked there for so many years. It feels surreal to finally leave."
James nodded, understanding how she felt. Leaving a place where you’ve spent a significant part of your life wasn’t easy.
But in his opinion, it was long overdue.
A few minutes later, they arrived at Westwood Community Bank. The parking lot was nearly empty, with only a few cars scattered around.
James pulled into an open spot and turned off the engine. As he looked around, he couldn’t help but notice how gloomy the bank felt — even from the outside.
The windows were tinted but not well-maintained, with dust collecting at the edges. The entrance sign was faded, the landscaping unkempt, and the overall atmosphere just felt... dead.
It was clear that the bank had been struggling for a long time.
Patty sighed, taking a deep breath before unbuckling her seatbelt.
"I’ll be quick. Just wait here."
James nodded, watching as she stepped out of the car and walked toward the entrance.
As he waited, his eyes wandered across the premises, observing everything.
The building itself wasn’t in terrible shape, but it was obvious that it lacked maintenance. The security guard by the entrance looked half-asleep, barely paying attention to his surroundings.
The bank had a sense of emptiness to it — like a place that had already given up on itself.
James exhaled through his nose, shaking his head. No wonder someone was trying to take it over.
If it wasn’t for the fact that he had other plans, he might have seriously considered buying it.
Before he could let his thoughts drift further, he saw Patty walking out of the bank.
She had a neutral expression on her face, but James could tell that she was holding back emotions.
She got into the car and let out a deep sigh.
"You good?" James asked.
Patty nodded, forcing a smile.
"Yeah. It’s done."
Without another word, James started the car and pulled out of the lot, heading toward Harrington & Co. Law Firm — the firm Patty had arranged a meeting with.

The drive to Harrington & Co. Law Firm took about twenty minutes.
Located in downtown Los Angeles, the firm was housed in a sleek, modern building with reflective glass panels and a minimalist design.
James parked in the underground lot, and they took the elevator up to the seventh floor.
When the elevator doors opened, they stepped into a brightly lit, polished lobby. A receptionist, a young woman with sharp features and neatly styled brown hair, greeted them with a warm smile.
"Good morning. Welcome to Harrington & Co. Law Firm. How may I assist you?" she asked.
Patty stepped forward.
"We have an appointment with Mr. Bradley Harrington and his team regarding the formation of an offshore trust holding company."
The receptionist checked her computer before nodding.
"Yes, of course. Mr. Harrington and his associates are expecting you. Please, follow me."
She led them through a hallway with glass walls that gave a view of the bustling law firm.
James observed the office — it was professional, efficient, and well-run. The kind of place that handled serious business.
They reached a large conference room, and the receptionist pushed open the door.
Inside, a group of four lawyers in formal business attire stood, waiting. At the head of the table was an older man in his mid-fifties, with silver hair, sharp blue eyes, and a commanding presence.
"Patricia Clyde, welcome," he greeted with a firm handshake before turning to James. "And you must be James."
James shook his hand. "Yes."
"Please, have a seat."
As they sat down, James took a moment to analyze the people in front of him. These were not ordinary lawyers — these were the kind of professionals who handled high-level financial structuring.
Bradley Harrington adjusted his tie and opened a thick binder in front of him.
"Patricia gave us a brief overview of what you’re looking for," he said, directing his attention to James. "But I’d like to hear from you directly. What exactly are you trying to accomplish with this offshore trust holding company?"
James leaned forward slightly.
"I want complete anonymity and absolute control behind the scenes. I don’t want my name tied to any assets or businesses I acquire. I also want to ensure that my holdings are legally protected and structured in a way that maximizes tax efficiency."
The lawyers exchanged glances, nodding. They were initially surprised when they saw how James was and they found it hard to believe that someone as young as him wants to create an offshore trust holding company. But since he’s here, it means that he’s serious about itm
"You’ve come to the right place," Harrington said with a small smile.
"For what you want, we recommend setting up your offshore trust in the Cook Islands, as it offers the strongest asset protection laws in the world.
The trust will then hold a controlling interest in an LLC, which will act as the operational entity for all investments, business acquisitions, and financial transactions."
James nodded, already aware of this from what Patty had explained to him.
"What about legal risks?" he asked.
"Minimal," one of the other lawyers, a younger man with glasses, replied.
"With this structure, the trust is legally separate from you. Even if someone were to try and sue you personally, they wouldn’t be able to touch the assets held by the trust."
James leaned back in his chair, absorbing the information.
"And the cost?" he asked.
Harrington smiled. "For full establishment, including legal structuring, registration, and advisory, you’re looking at around $80,000 upfront. Annual maintenance will be approximately $35,000 to $100,000"
James didn’t even flinch at the price. He already expected it, as Patty has told him.
He glanced at Patty, who gave him a reassuring nod.
"Alright," James said. "Let’s proceed."
Harrington nodded. "We’ll begin drafting the necessary paperwork immediately. Patricia, you’ll be handling most of the administrative work on our client’s behalf?"
"Yes," Patty confirmed.
"Good. We’ll also arrange for a trusted third-party trustee to manage the offshore trust, as per legal requirements. James, you’ll still have complete control over the LLC, but the trust will be the legal owner. We will send you the paper after everything’s done."
James nodded in understanding.
The meeting continued for another hour, covering finer details such as investment structures, asset transfers, and banking arrangements.
By the time they were done, everything was set in motion.
James shook hands with Harrington and the other lawyers, thanking them for their time.
Patty and James left the conference room, both feeling accomplished.
As they walked toward the elevator, Patty glanced at James and smiled.
"That went well."
"Yeah." James nodded.
They stepped into the elevator, heading back down to the parking lot.
As the doors closed, James exhaled slowly, a small smirk forming on his lips, as he looked at the number her just saved in his phone. He got what he really came for. freewebnσvel.cøm
