World Domination Begins With Getting a System in a Modern World-Chapter 52: Urgent Need For Rebate Eligible Funds
Chapter 52: Urgent Need For Rebate Eligible Funds
James picked up the call immediately, making sure to angle his phone so that neither Patty nor Leslie could see the caller ID.
He didn’t want them to get involved in what he was about to do, nor did he want them to find out about it.
He knew how worried they would be if they find out about what he’s about to do. And so, he prefers them to be oblivious to everything.
James’ voice was calm and composed as he answered the call. He made sure not to mention Mr. Harrington’s name or the law firm, as he knew that discretion was key.
On the other end, the receptionist’s professional tone came through.
"Mr. Zolomon, we’ve confirmed the meeting with the private investigator. He’s agreed to meet with you tomorrow. The location and time have been set. Would you like me to send the details via email?"
James smiled slightly, feeling very satisfied with Mr Harrington’s work.
"No need for that. Just tell me the details directly."
"Yes, sir," the receptionist said, and relayed the location.
The location of the meeting is an upscale café in downtown Los Angeles — and the scheduled time for it is 10 AM.
"Understood," James said, noting the details mentally.
"Thank you for setting this up."
"It’s our pleasure, Mr. Zolomon. If you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out."
With that, the call ended and James set his phone down, and returned to his meal.
His expression was calm and composed, with the regular smile on his face.
While Leslie and Patty continued eating without suspicion, his mind was already deep in thought, mapping out the potential directions the meeting could take.
Tomorrow was going to be important. The first real step in bringing down Brian and his father.
He also hope that he would be able to find out who it was that was trying to bring the McCullens and their company down, and the cause of those scandals that plagued them. But he knew that it would be difficult.
James continued eating his food, but his focus had shifted. As he took another bite, he was already planning how to approach the investigator, what information to request, and how to ensure absolute discretion.
It would be bad if he finally get some information, spread them and everything is later traces to him. That would be disastrous.
James decided to push the thoughts of the meeting with the private investigator and enjoy his meal.
The food was without a doubt, very delicious, and once he was done eating, he wiped his mouth with a napkin and got up.
"Thank you for the food," he said, as he pecked Patty on the cheek.
"I’m heading to my room," he announced casually, before walking to the stairs.
Leslie, who was finishing the last few bites of her food, glanced at him.
"Sus... What are you up to?" she asked suspiciously.
James smirked, feigning innocence.
"Just business, Leslie. You wouldn’t get it."
Leslie couldn’t help but rolled her eyes at his response. What a shameless fellow.
"Oh, please. You’re probably just going to laze around on your bed again."
"And if I am?" James shot back.
"Then that means I win." Leslie smirked.
James chuckled and shook his head. Instead of entertaining her any further, he walked upstairs to his room. As he closed the door behind him, his smirk faded into a more serious expression.

James flopped onto his bed, exhaling deeply. He had nothing to do at the moment, which mind of annoyed him slightly.
The offshore trust holding company documents were still being drafted by the lawyers. Until they were finalized, he couldn’t move forward with his company’s formation.
And now, the meeting with the private investigator wasn’t until tomorrow. And that meant another wasted day.
It wasn’t exactly wasted but James just wants everything to be done and ready immediately, as he didn’t like waiting, but he knew just how impossible that is.
His mind worked best when he was active, constantly strategizing, planning, and executing.
Lying still, doing nothing, felt like stagnation.
He rolled around restless on his bed, when he felt his phone buzzed.
The sound of an incoming message pulled him from his thoughts.
He grabbed his phone and saw that it was a text from Ralph.
Ralph: "Got a response from the CEXs. They need verification, but I handled it. Now we’re just waiting for them to mention listing fees. I have also spread the rumours that the memecoin would be listed soon and the price of the token us skyrocketing."
James smirked. Ralph was efficient — he had already expected this step.
A moment later, another message came through.
Ralph: "Since we’re trying to list on multiple exchanges, we need to set aside at least $4M to $5M for all the possible fees."
James’ smirk faded slightly when he read this.
"Damn... that much?" he muttered to himself.
He currently has $7.6M in cash but no rebate-eligible funds. And if he’s to spend $5M on listing fees, that would leave him with just $2.6M.
And he still needed $5M for the offshore trust holding company. Which means he needs rebate eligible funds urgently.
Selling more of the memecoin wasn’t an option. Not only would that lower his holdings, but it could also cause panic in the community if anyone noticed a major investor selling off assets before the listing.
Besides, the amount seems like much but when compared to how the memecoin would be worth after listing, the amount he’s going to spend will be negligible.
With his urgent need for rebate eligible funds, James knew that his only option to get it was through betting.
James sighed, running a hand through his hair. He had hoped he wouldn’t need to return to the betting platform, but it was the only way to generate rebate-eligible funds quickly.
Without hesitation, he texted Ralph back.
James: "I’ll handle the funds. Don’t worry."
Ralph: "I knew you’d say that. I should be expecting a response from the CEXs in the next few days, it would be great if the funds ready by then."
James chuckled. "Trust me."
They chatted for a while before Ralph finally ended the conversation.
James stared at his phone screen for a moment, deep in thought.
He knew that there was no more time to delay and that he has to act now.
He opened his banking app and checked his balance and it was just as he thought. $7.6M.
Without hesitation, he transferred $600,000 into his betting account.
This time, he wasn’t playing small and his minimum target was to triple his money, meaning he has to turn that $600K into $1.8M or more.
To achieve that, he had to increase his staking amount significantly.
James navigated to the betting platform, his fingers moving with ease he went to the casino section.
He analyzed the available betting markets, scanning for the best opportunities. With the martingale strategy, he’s guaranteed to make profit but he will have to strategize.
He chose the market, put skate amount, and placed the game in automatic, before placing his first bet.
"This will be the last time I do this... hopefully."
