World's Last Hope-Chapter 46: Alone in a pool
Eric was breathing heavily, clearly exhausted. He felt Aria’s breasts pressed tightly against his body as she too was breathing uncontrollably.
Eric chuckled slightly. "God... how much time has passed?" he asked as he glanced around the pool.
"Is this something we should be doing in a cathedral in the first place?" he added.
"Eric," Aria spoke as she slowly controlled her breathing.
"We are in the cathedral of the god of life, also regarded as the god of fertility, so it’s quite literally the place for this sort of thing."
"Is that so? I still have trouble with your world’s concepts."
"It’s not my world now, it’s our world, Eric," she said as she brought her face closer to his.
"Why are you stopping? Are you getting tired? We still have a whole day ahead of us," Aria teased.
Eric was about to say something until his desires suddenly began to act up again, and he felt his body immediately regain its vigor.
He smiled slightly as he spoke, "I guess I can go for another round..."

"God, when would those two shut up?" Olivia muttered under her breath.
She was currently beyond bored. All she could do now was look at the slowly dying soul of the guardian while hearing the sounds of moans and clapping noises beyond the door.
Usually, she would try to sleep in these situations, trying to capitalize on the opportunity to get some rest, as they were still in the middle of the death zone.
But because of two somebodies who seemed very excited to be in each other’s embrace, she couldn’t rest due to the sounds they were producing.
"I guess more staring at its soul is it, then..." Olivia muttered as she went back to gazing at the cathedral gates, until suddenly—
"Oh! Right there! Go faster!"
Olivia eye twitched slightly as she summoned one of her swords, which she threw at the doors where the lovebirds were mating, creating a loud noise.
She shouted irritably,
"For fuck’s sake, keep it down!"
Though the action didn’t seem to have much effect, at least Aria seemed to try to keep her voice down.
"This girl," Olivia muttered as she returned her gaze to the gates, only to realize that her right hand was trembling a little.
’...There’s no way I’m feeling something as ridiculous as jealousy, right?’ she thought, only to scoff at the idea.
Placing her palms over her ears, she muttered as she lay down, "I guess I’ll have to try to sleep."
After some hours passed, Olivia opened her eyes. She was a bit drowsy until they suddenly widened in awe.
"Guys!" she suddenly screamed. "The guardian is dead!"

Eric was lying on the ground, utterly exhausted. Aria was next to him, also exhausted but not to the same extent. It seemed that being a Grandmaster had its perks.
"Tired?" Aria teased with a smile that stunned Eric for a moment.
Averting her gaze, he muttered, "Oh, shut up."
Suddenly, he heard a voice.
"Guys!" Olivia screamed. "The guardian is dead!"
’It’s dead?’ Eric’s eyes suddenly widened in shock and anticipation, and in the next moment, he was overwhelmed by the flood of messages that popped up in front of his eyes,
[Guardian of the cathedral has been slain.]
[5000 soul essence acquired.]
[20 soul points acquired.]
[Cathedral liberated.]
[Connection with the god of life increased.]
[20 soul points acquired]
[The cathedral has recognized you as worthy!]
[The Grandmaster of the cathedral has recognized you as worthy!]
[You have evolved to Master!]
[Intercourse with the Grandmaster detected!]
[Your pillar evolves to the second level.]
Suddenly, in the empty room of the cathedral, a grand pillar appeared, signifying that there was now a Master anchored to it.
But unlike the other pillars, this one was mightier—it was thicker and constructed from a more durable material.
It didn’t take a genius to guess that this one pillar was of greater significance than the other, normal ones.
[You have achieved a remarkable feat!]
[Your soul has evolved. As a result, the system gains more information, and your arsenal is upgraded.]
[The god of life, despite being severely weakened, has awoken, granting you access to his miracles.]
Eric, despite being exhausted, didn’t shift his eyes for a moment as he absorbed all the information the system was feeding him. After it was done, he quickly glanced at the window to the side,

Without hesitation, he dismissed his sword and let out a sigh of relief as he finally felt that he had control over his own thoughts.
Brimming with excitement, he couldn’t help himself and immediately opened his status, wondering how it had changed,
-----

Eric couldn’t help but smile. It seemed he had become a Master, his soul had somehow evolved, and he also realized that the announcement he had heard before jumping into the inferno of the guardian had probably been that two of his traits had evolved.
And that was not all! Now he was finally able to gain access to some miracles!
This was going to help him profoundly.
He shifted his gaze to Aria, who had her eyes widened, staring into nothingness.
’She must have seen that I’ve become anchored to her cathedral,’ he thought.
Aria shifted her gaze to Eric for a moment, her lips curving into a grin.
"I didn’t know that people from other worlds could become anchored!"
Eric was about to say something until Aria interrupted him.
"Do you know what that means?"
He raised an eyebrow and asked, "What?"
Suddenly, Aria was over him, her hair spilling to the sides, making it impossible to look at anything else other than her alluring face.
She slowly brought her face to his and whispered, her eyes shining slightly,
"That you are mine."
Eric wanted to check on all the cool stuff he had gotten and what they could do.
But the moment he felt Aria’s breath brush against his skin and her naked body pressed tightly against his own, he thought inwardly,
’Well... I guess it can wait a bit.’
