Yandere Step-Mom-Chapter 43: On Call
"Break up," Kiana said again, steady and clear.
"Break up—with your girlfriend."
Liend looked at her, confused, unable to fully process it.
"Mom..." he murmured, uncertain.
Kiana held his gaze.
"What do you choose?" she asked plainly.
"Take the punishment—choose Mom. Or..." her eyes shifted away.
"Choose your girlfriend. Your choice."
Liend hesitated, eyes flickering between guilt and confusion.
"Couldn’t I... choose both?" he asked softly, unsure.
Kiana let out a small chuckle—dry.
"Liend."
She looked back at him, eyes sharp, unwavering.
"There is no both here."
She voiced, voice low but firm.
"Either you face the consequences—take Mom’s punishment..." she paused.
"Or you walk away. Pretend this never happened. Go back to how things were."
Her eyes drifted, heavy with thought.
"But be sure of this—" she said, gaze returning to him. "Once you take this away..."
She gestured—first to him, then to her own bare body.
"This relationship between us," she added, snapping her fingers lightly,
"it ends. We go back to just Mom and son... or worse."
Her voice was steady, but the weight behind it was undeniable. Liend looked at her, struggling—unable to decide.
"Liend," Kiana said firmly, cutting off his hesitation.
"Your phone’s in my drawer. Next to the bed."
She pointed toward it.
"Bring it."
Liend hesitated, eyes dropping, clearly not wanting to move.
"But..."
"Just bring it, Liend," she interrupted, more softly this time.
"You can make your decision after that."
Liend swallowed and turned—unsure, but following, as he went.
Warm hands curled around the cold door handle as Liend slid it open—one then the other. He stepped inside and moved quietly toward the side of Kiana’s bed, where his phone rested. Picking it up, a thought struck him.
He turned as he walked back.
"Mom..." he started, brows furrowed.
"Didn’t you say my phone was in my room?"
Kiana looked at him, unfazed.
"I must’ve forgotten," she said easily, brushing it off.
Then she held out her hand—calm, open, firm.
"Now. Give it here."
Her tone left little space to object.
Liend hesitated, clutching the phone tighter.
"I’m not sure..." he murmured, unsure whether to resist or comply.
But Kiana didn’t wait.
"Give it here, Liend," she said again, more sharply.
"You’ve done enough already."
Her eyes dropped, gesturing toward herself—lower—where he had entered her, without permission to release. Liend’s breath caught, the weight of that reminder sinking in.
"Alright," Liend said quietly, surrendering the phone.
Kiana gave him a soft smile—reassuring, almost kind—as she took it from his hand.
"Good," she replied, unlocking the screen.
Liend watched her, uneasy.
"You know the pass?" he asked.
"Always did," she said, casually, eyes on the screen—no need to explain.
"Right..." Liend murmured, shifting on his feet, watching her fingers move.
Then—
"Here."
Kiana turned the screen toward him. The phone was already ringing—on speaker.
Liend’s eyes widened. He gasped.
"Why did you—" he began to ask, but Kiana cut in with a steady gaze.
"Choose, Liend."
Her voice was quiet. Firm. Unshaking.
"While she picks up... choose."
She glanced down, toward her bare body—then back to him.
"This..." Kiana said softly, gesturing toward her bare, exposed body.
"Or that girl." She pointed at the phone.
"Choose. Quickly."
"No—" Liend started, but before he could say more, the call connected.
"Hello?!" Rissa’s voice came through the speaker, half-groggy.
"It’s 1 a.m., Liend..." she said, yawning."You miss me that much?" she teased, her tone still wrapped in sleep.
Then, mid-breath, she groaned.
"Ugh—"
"Your mom said you were injured. Are you okay?" Her voice sharpened—suddenly alert.
"I can come see you right now, if you want..." she offered, unsure, but trying. Her concern was real.
Liend stared at the phone, heart pounding. Then looked to Kiana—who made a small gesture.
Go on.
Say it.
The line hung in silence.
"Liend?" Rissa’s voice came again, a little softer now, tinged with worry.
Liend swallowed, throat tightening.
"Rissa..." Liend finally said, voice tight.
"Thank God!" she interrupted, relieved.
"I thought it was your mother again."
Her tone lightened, but her concern poured in right after.
"How are you? I haven’t talked to you since—yesterday?" she said, rushing her words.
"You weren’t picking up my calls. Your mom said you were injured..."
A breath.
"What happened, Liend?"
Liend stood frozen, eyes flicking from the phone to Kiana. He looked nervous—torn.
Kiana didn’t move closer, didn’t speak—but her lips shaped the silent command:
Say it.
Liend swallowed.
"Rissa..." he began again.
She hummed gently, asking. "Yes?"
"Actually... I need to say something.
"His voice faltered—but he pushed forward.
Rissa responded without pause, lighthearted still:
"Of course. Why else would you call at 1 a.m.?" she teased.
"Go ahead."
Then, after a playful beat, she added—her tone softening into something suggestive:
"You need a video call? A kiss? Or... something else?"
Her voice lingered between teasing and something more.
Liend stiffened, flustered.
"N... No," Liend said softly.
"Then...?" Rissa’s voice perked up with worry.
"Did something really happen? Do you want me to come to you right now?"
"No," Liend repeated, a bit more firmly this time.
A pause.
Rissa’s tone shifted—just slightly sharper, more anxious.
"Then what is it?" 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
She exhaled, voice rising.
"You’re making me anxious, Liend."
"Just say it! Quickly."
Liend looked at Kiana—uncertain, lost. She gave him a small nod, steady, reassuring.
He swallowed.
"Let’s..." he began, eyes still fixed on Kiana.
"Mm?" Rissa prompted, listening.
"...Let’s break up."
The words came out at last—quiet, final.
On the other end of the line, under the dim light of the night lights, Rissa froze. Her fingers stiffened around the phone, breath catching.
"Liend...?" she whispered.
"Come again?"
Her voice trembled, disoriented.
"I—I think I didn’t hear you properly..." she added
"No," Liend said quietly.
"You heard me."
His eyes stayed fixed on Kiana—anchored to her. She met his gaze, steady, reassuring. One of his hands rested between hers, and she gently caressed it, grounding him.
"You heard it, Rissa," he repeated, voice low but certain.
"You listened... right."
