You Think I Won't Talk?-Chapter 545
Silence settled as a listener of Theodore’s reaction, for the crown prince only observed the backlash coldly; getting to a frivolous understanding of the man’s reticence.
— ... So this contempt you show is not because of the small scratch I dealt on you while being reckless... going ahead of yourself and watching from closer than the advised distance that one time... It is only a childish grudge, huh? Intriguing for a shadow to own. — 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
— You have no right to declare such a-! —
— We will not tell. This time. —
Vitor had finally interrupted, aiding his partner in the watch of their master, meeting the eye of the crown prince as he stepped forward to stand between them... for Theodore’s and Zeleskiaz’s animosity was growing dangerously, furthermore for the prince who had been under many emotions making his resolve to waver as if mockingly during these days.
Hence, he who was measured and comfortable in silence, calmly looked into the eyes of Zeleskiaz, letting the prince see the glint of his that were usually unnoticeable under dark hair as he left behind the silence to speak with honourable bluntness.
— We have known from the beginning that you visited our lady at night and very often. Never did we mention a word about this to his grace as nothing ever happened... as it was clear it was innocent to some degree... Yet this is the last time. Orders are to tell it all when it comes to you and Lady Marianne. We will honour our master and will make you honour her... by force if needed. —
It was apparent in Vitor’s gaze that these instructions placed a burden on his spirit. In many ways, he had seen the efforts of a crown prince and was relieved that as he was useless while protecting his unique master a blade much more capable and merciless was yielded by the man asking this favour, confident that whatever may... would never go unpunished... would not go as simple an incident... and would be dealt with unfairness to the doers, a hundred times more terrible than the law would ever allow... but ultimately the most satisfying outcome those who were helpless would look for.
The desperation and sadness, the delight and yearning of the prince and his master’s aura... Vitor had seen it all. Beautifully depicted by his colourful skills. Innocent and even pure while carnal desires were battled by this man, he had even been granted his trust early unlike any would have imagined.
Therefore, it was a burden... for he was now determined to set aside the respect and his knowledge about the crown prince’s sincere care and his soft master’s sweet delight so his duty would not fail the trust of those he served.
— Force will not be needed... This was my last visit. —
Zeleskiaz had reassured. Ending any discussion that could have continued with the one from the shadows.
’I already grieve over my decisions... not being the one to escort you here... only having a greeting that was rejected by your father’s dislike... I am at a loss at this helplessness that if not for how much I treasure you, my love...’ — Sensing how her spirit moved closer again to where she had previously stopped to have at least a moment to admire her loveliness, Zeleskiaz saw her pace the path back to the ladies’ gathering, looking at her ethereal essence refresh the scene with colourful youth, unknowledgeable of her effect and of the concerns he needed to resolve on his own. — ’If not for how much I treasure this chance... This unique chance to have you as my Empress, in the most righteous and honourable way... certain that it will achieve your smile..... I...’
Ensimismated, quick clarity about the bloodshed he was ready to extract from any crossed his mind like a flying bird of burning chaos... fine by the gruesome depictions his psyche had easily crafted as it all would lead to have her near even if with horrifying methods.
’It wouldn’t matter who...’ — Sure of it, for a moment his eyes darkened, yet even so, any gruesome thought was now interrupted as she halted abruptly, meeting his eye sharply; dissolving the intrinsic darkness his soul deeply held, moving gracefully so a hint could be given to her confused suitor.
"?"
A touch to her skirt where she would feign not to feel a hidden stack... A glance back at the path she had walked... and lastly finding the stack as if it was only missed before... saving it while showing it to the guards who wanted to aid the seemingly innocent search and smiling at him who observed one last time, moving her eyes as if telling him to look the way she came from before finally resuming her walk to join the women again.
’I hope he gets it...’ — She thought, a tad concerned at the blank expression Zeleskiaz showcased.
And so... solely once he saw her take her place at a wide table, Zeleskiaz moved... snapping out of the daze her unusual actions invoked and going where she had hinted. Entering the place where her skin had freshened the air while thinking about him.
’This is where she came from...’ — Looking around he stepped in. Finding his reflex in the mirror she had watched herself in and feeling embarrassed by how foolish his demeanour looked with so much anticipation showing in his colour. — "Bloody hell... I need to reign myself. Unless I do I will only look pathetic whenever she does something."
Coming forward with a timid mirth, the basin with water was also used by his hand hoping to dismiss the blush. Looking around once again to see what it was that she signalled when it was clear that they would not get to meet without any eye watching them.
Thus, his eye traced the place twice, knowing intuitively by the gestures made that a message should be waiting for him to find... ultimately catching a glimpse of it, waiting right below the tray where the basin stood, very well hidden so only someone that was searching it could find it.
"..... Haaaa... god.... t-this... this woman..." — He thought after reading it once with hast, taking it to his lips as his heart raced to the illusion of her writing such...
